That's simple. This lose connon is right on China's doorstep. They have threatened to attack Japan's cities. Japan is seriously considering building there own nukes. China doesn't want that given their history with china. If the north attacks the south again the US will be involved and China doesn't want that either. China doesn't want an uncontrolled collapse of the north because it would mean an uncontrolled flood of people into China. Their only real option is to invade NK themselves and take out the lose cannon, and try to stabilize the country from within at the same time. Who would complain and number two of the axis of evil can be taken off the list.

No Bush has taken out one of the players in the axis of evil. Clinton and gang yakked for eight years, gave NK aid and nuke technology. NK laughed at them, took everything they got and continued on building nukes. On the other hand Bush put together the six party talks. As soon as NK realized they weren't going to be able to screw the US again as they did with Clinton they walked away. NK's new strategy was to threaten US allies in the region mainly Japan. In an order to force the US at gun point to one on one talks. Their new supposedly nuke test is part of the same strategy. Once again the dems have popped up like bobble heads ready to take the bait again, and repeat the same mistakes of the past. What would they give them this time. Long range missle technology and sort out what seems to be problems with NK's A- bomb. I wouldn't be a bit surprised.

"Muslims have noted with concern that the values of tolerance are eroding and there is now shrinking space for others' religious, social and cultural values in the West," I'm sorry our backwards culture can't appreciate firing rockets into Israel and chopping necks. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/interna...cartoons_oic_dc

What back story. The story is in front of your eyes. The one you choose not to see. The right of free speech also inclueds the right to hear free speech. Something history teaches us the left can't stand.

I agree, but you have to remember that in the world of liberal fuzz everything is possible, and what is possible now becomes true.

No I haven't heard anything about this until now. Thanks for posting. Well, this is setting an example around the world...just like the violent protests that erupted in various countries all over the world...mirroring the protest that started in Europe. The question is: why is this not being reported by our media? Is the media "filtering" what they want the public to know? Likely the same reason they never reported that around eight hundred rockets had been fired into Israel before Israel finally decided to act earlier this year. Besides, it doesn't look good for one of the corner stones of cultural Marxism, multiculturalism.

Just like a liberal. Can't distinguish between donated money and money obtained at the point of a gun by way of the government extortion system. The reason they are in opposition.

What obscene profits. http://retail.petro-canada.ca/en/pumptalk/2132.aspx As usual people fail to understand that it is the consumer who in the end pays the tax. No matter where it is imposed.

Yes I think I did, but sorry you were disappointed.

Apparently there has been no confirmation. The USGS has said no seismic activity in the area. Go figure.

It's suppose to be a house commoners, thus the name house of commons. However like everything else the liberals touch they perverted that too. They see it as house of kings who spend like drunken sailors on the commoners tab and actually believe something is wrong when someone doesn't. Shameful. http://www.canada.com/topics/news/national...ad5&k=30205

Government monopolies of state owned business have a track record of failure. In fact they are a nothing but a shell game. In the other provinces utility rates are going through the roof and even being to not be able to supply the service. Alberta utility rates are in good shape, but I would like to see more competition with less government interference.

Ridiculous. We already paid once to buy up the companies that made up petrocan and got zippo out of it when it was sold. All that was accomplished was to reduce competition and increase taxes. Now you want to buy it again. The heritage slush fund should be divided up among the citizens of Alberta depending on how long one has lived here, and if they want to use their share to buy shares in the oil companies they should, and would be well advised to.

Yeah, I am sure that having "friends" in political office is completely incidental to one's commercial success. Well you certainly don't want your enemies in political office.

I hope you mean letting it be known they would be receptive to having them built. I think we could use one more refinery in Alberta at the present time to keep up with demand. The last to winters now they haven't been able to keep up with the demand for diesel fuel in the north.

Government Legislation and the Supreme Court
B. Max replied to Gord's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That would require a constitutional amendment. I would prefer an overhaul of the senate. Whos job it should be to pass legislation from the house. A EEE senate with veto power from each provinces representatives. This would also require a constitutional amendment. -
The first new oil refinery in north America in twenty five years. I'll bet the treehuggers are doing back flips all over the continent in anticipation of hanging this prize on the wall. No effort is likely to be spared, from trotting out the Kennedy crowd to the Hollywood sickle swingers. The Irving's are definitely among the bravest in the brave new world. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/new-brunswick/sto...ryconcerns.html

Maybe looking down the gun barrels of all those tanks we sent over there turned them into moderates. -

Then what is old Jack Taliban complaining about.
