  1. Yes we picked up some KFC food several years ago and there was rotten chicken in it. We did not complain, we just told everyone we knew about it and Neve have been back in one since.
  2. Dosen't it seem a bit worrisome that the Shiela Fraser voiced concerns about having to report to Harper before anything is aired, doesn't it concern the nay sayers on here that CAIRS is being shut down and that all this is happening when the people from Mexico, the US and Canada, mainly big business are in secret talks about joining all of North America. Notice that rules concerning drug testing, for instance, are being relaxed in some of the new proposals. Harper would be king, just like Bush, he would like to be able, for instance, to put us into wars such as Iraq without really having to have the permission of the people. Harper for the first time last year took the salute from the veterans along side the Govenor General, wasn't that rather a nice thing to see, I wonder. Harper cannot put us into wars as Bush can, he is not the Cammander in Chief. But he seems to be having a little trouble getting someone to head our armed forces who takes all his orders from him. This man is scarry, Canadians for God's sake wake up or you won't have a country. There are obviously people planted on here arguing everything that is disputed. And yes one of the arguments is that old ladies have no knowledge of the world and should not be on here..
  3. Oh well Bush just moved another big carrier nearer to the coast of Iran. It happens to be the one he declared "The war was over" on. If Iran does have bombs to let loose all the arguments on here are a waste of time.
  4. Hay Maybe 10,000 people dead in Burma, the storm of the century but that doesn't matter to the people who deny the weather is changing and it is getting warmer. No Money in that is there.
  5. Mr. Clement owns a large amount of shares in a Drug company. He doesn't give a darn about you and me.
  6. As I said it is bullying whether you want it or not.
  7. SoccerDad a Good explanation of how this forum works woud be to watch NOW on PBS today. Of course this is about the "Mission Accomplished" in 2003 with Bush, but it also shows how the people who backed this and evidently believed it operated. People such as argus are explained on there and what their mission is.
  8. And Socordad that is exactly what people such as argus are on here for. They are an extension of Mr. Harpers rules about information getting to the public.
  9. Ah so you are agreeing, a doctor could be charged for participating in an abortion if this law goes through. The people who preach capital punishment would sure like that.
  10. And the bottom line is to get the information out there so Canadians can assess it and make up their own minds.
  11. You can't continue your private war if people start communicating It just isn't Kosher, so I hope Mr. McKay finds this out.
  12. Hey Punked didn't you know that the country belongs to the Conservatives, people like you and I are just trouble makers and liers. I get tired of being called a lier, don't you.
  13. Perhaps this is a good example of controlling access to information: This is how easily it can be done. When Adbusters found its spoof ads banned by the corporate media, the question of the right to communicate came into play. Kalle Lasn is a fighter for the right to communicate. A privilege, says the founder of Adbusters magazine, that goes one step farther than the freedom of speech. "You can stand on the corner and shout at people as they are going by," Lasn says. "But if a handful of corporations have media in their pocket, they can totally hoodwink the public." From his home in Vancouver, Lasn himself communicates to the masses on the pages of Adbusters -- a 10-year-old culture-jamming magazine published through the Adbusters Media Foundation. On Feb. 18, the Supreme Court of British Columbia dismissed a case that Lasn brought forth, which argued that Canadian TV conglomerate CanWest Global was obligated, under the Canadian Broadcasting Act, to sell television advertising time to Adbusters. The court's dismissal reiterated the rulings of North American courts that have found private TV broadcasters under no obligation to allow the public access to public airwaves. James H. 14. Isn't killing this program exactly what this transparent government is all about. Why were we, the public, not asked it we wanted it shut down. Another underhanded action by an underhanded government
  15. Yes there has been a huge increase in Canadians using alternative health methods. I myself, have a touchy stomach and was prescribed a drug, that was expensive but absolutley useless, I found a good one, on the advise of my sister in law, use slipper elm and guess what we have a tree in our yard. But I buy it at the health food store because it is easier. The Drug companies must be having a fit over the loss of revenue with so many finding thier own help.
  16. This is one of the bills that Harper's bully boys are blocking by walking out to the discussion on it and refusing to attend meetings
  17. Oh he can't do that myata, he's one of Harper's boys put on here to block access to information, did you hear about the loss of that too.
  18. You trust a man whose party swore to block women's rights to abortion, now we have a loss of the access to information. This man gets more and more frightening and especially his party blocking any discussion of any of these bills. No one gave him a majority to do these things but hes doing it anyway.
  19. More of Mr. Harper's transparency, this is one of the most secretive and sly governments we have ever had
  20. Where are our newspaper people, where is our public Television, I am getting really frustrated with the stupidity of them all. And Canadian, especially women, wake up. Harper is a woman hater.
  21. Dear little Tony is my MP, guess what he doesn't like me much.
  22. . In practice, Bill C-484 is a law that opens the door for future legal challenges against women's right to choose whether to have an abortion. In effect, this new bill could create legal rights for foetuses, marking them as human and thus as protected under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms while still in the womb. Given the fact that the foetus and the woman share one body, offering human rights to the foetus intrinsically means we are encroaching upon the woman's rights. We too often shy away from discussing abortion because it engenders debates relating to morality and religion. However, passing a new law that provides legal grounds on which to challenge the legality of abortion is not the way to re-enter the debate about this issue. On the contrary, this approach to challenging current abortion laws is backhanded and legally suspicious. I did not write this someone else did but it gives on food for thought
  23. Its time Canadians, especially Canadian women woke up to the fact of what this government is doing to our ability to control our country.
  24. I am beginning to wonder if the reason Dion got put in there was to allow Harper control, do you suppose the Liberals are in on this too?
  25. Yes buffycat, they rely on bullying to stop discussions on this. They also rely on complacent Canadians to swallow their propoganda.
