  1. But as I said in another thread, the fact that he has 40% support means that the Libs and the NDP each have less than 30%. Who's the winner?
  2. PET killed it.
  3. DELETED I tried to post the link again. It doesn't work on this forum. Google "drug legalization in portugal" and follow the first link.
  4. I seriously question whether the US would react in any way. There is so much BC weed going into Washington and Idaho now I don't think it would make a difference.
  5. As someone posted in another thread, odds are that she was invited by some school official, and didn't personally know that the guy was going to be there. Most likely there is an aid looking for something to fill his time from that day on.
  6. "No, of course not" "Yes, I suppose" No bias there.
  7. I would agree for all drugs except weed. Legalize the growing and control the selling, just like alcohol. Make lots of tax money and make many criminals unemployed. And I have been told by people whom I trust that studies have shown that overall drug use, including weed has actually decreased in Portugal since they "made the change".
  8. The CTV news website'sFriday news quiz right after the debate asked which leader had the highest percentage votes the last session. They didn't give a number but the Bloc leader was best.
  9. I was very surprised when UK PM Cameron bluntly stated that multi-culturalism doesn't work. Quite a bold move for a politician.
  10. But apparently you explain yourself to a panel that consists of a psychologist, a doctor and a social worker, not a court.
  11. They have legalized possession for use by yourself. I have never been sure but have always thought that "decriminalizing" is what the Dutch did. The laws are still on the books, but the government instructed the police to not enforce them. That isn't the case in Portugal.
  12. I guess I don't see this as a problem. Even if the patients can't be trusted, I don't believe one could find a doctor willing to do an abortion at an extremely late stage without a medical reason.
  13. I strongly disagree. Admittedly there have been several cases of the Crown blowing it, and this is a big one. But fix the legal system. We must maintain the rule of law. Thus Betsy is right.
  14. You are offered treatment, which you are free to refuse without penalty.
  15. Interesting, but factually incorrect rant. Education is provincial. Harper has nothing to do with the school's funding.
  16. Just the opposite was seen in Portugal. Google it. Just one link here but there are lots. http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1893946,00.html The link doesn't work. I double checked it. Don't know what the problem is.
  17. I am against the "tough on crine" stuff. But who else? Tax lots and spend more Layton? Tax and spend too much Iggy who doesn't have a clue. I was going to spoil my ballot cause they are all idiots, but I got grandkids now. To save their futures, I got to vote conservative. Bad but less bad then the other idiots.
  18. If the first part of your statement is correct, wonderful. If the second part is the determining factor, we are in deep, deep doo-doo.
  19. Very, very, very wrong.
  20. Liberalesque arrogance? I'm so right wing I wouldn't even take a free beer from a liberal. I'm an apologetic Con.
  21. Wasn't that the last year of the Alliance Conservative split?
  22. What did I list that was wrong? And what party is better? I think sir, you are the deluded idiot.
  23. Iggy and Layton deserve a scoff.
  24. Three year ago I was a "hang-em high" right wing pro-horrendous prison sentence, capital punishment fan. Then attending a US political forum did a terrible thing to me. I got some hard facts slap me upside the head. The whole US three strikes your out, zero tollerance, yada, yada shit don't work. Look at the stats. And mandatory minimums are just sh*t. Look at the states, it sucks. And the tory's fight against the safe injection site in Vancouver has no factual support, and in fact has factual proof of being wrong, again. I will vote conservative, but their lie about unit trust, their more bad prisons stand, and their lack of allowing MP's doing their thing makes me mad. Still not as bad as the freaking Libs.
  25. But when are the Harper Brown Shirts going to start taking over the streets with their guns ablazing?
