US wants to stay in Iraq past pull out date
bud replied to William Ashley's topic in The Rest of the World
i find it interesting that many of those who scrutinize trudeau for taking photos with mao would defend reagan's relationship and role in south america. -
israel passes law to punish those who boycott israel
bud replied to bud's topic in The Rest of the World
there you go lowering the bar again. no one claims that those countries are democracies. no one here is excusing their actions. neither of those states are being openly supported by the western governments. all said, you made some progress. you were able to acknowledge that the law is a step in the wrong direction, even though you tried to excuse it by comparing it to 'arab societies'. -
Why Do Poland & Russia Not Have to Give Back Territory...

of course they count. just like israel, they're also some of the worst human rights violators. -
what? you would have preferred if i typed them down individually? i think there is a lot of waste and inefficiency in many of the UN programs. but to call to dismantle the UN while there are thousands of active programs running through their agencies and their subsidiaries which many people rely on to survive around the world is illogical and shows how little the person has thought about their ignorant, knee-jerk statement. this is coming from the guy who wants to make a serious argument for ethnic cleansing the palestinians? stfu. UNICEF- JUBA, Southern Sudan, 3 April 2008 – As children in Southern Sudan celebrate the second anniversary of the UNICEF-supported 'Go to School' initiative, approximately 1.3 million pupils are expected to enter classes this year, as compared to some 340,000 in 2005. bye bye UNICEF? fuck them black kids? UNRWA - a relief and human development agency, providing education, health care, social services and emergency aid to over 4.8 million Palestine refugees living in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, as well as in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It is the only agency dedicated to helping refugees from a specific region or conflict. It was established following the 1948 Arab-Israeli War by the United Nations General Assembly under resolution 302 (IV) of 8 December 1949. This resolution also reaffirmed paragraph 11, concerning refugees, of UN General Assembly Resolution 194 and was passed unopposed, supported by Israel and the Arab states someone has to clean israel's mess, right? if you want to talk about wasting money, then we should talk about the $3 billion the u.s. gives to israel from its own tax payers.

wow, is that mel brooks or is that bob the ethnic cleansing supporter pretending that someone didn't have the patience to respond and dissect his long winded irrational comments? too funny.

israel passes law to punish those who boycott israel
bud replied to bud's topic in The Rest of the World
not sure how i can respond to a question from someone who didn't take a second to read the article to know that this is intended towards israeli people who have boycotted the settlements. Among the recent initiatives that angered settlers and their influential political patrons was a pledge by Israeli academics and artists to boycott the West Bank settlement of Ariel. Israeli developers also agreed not to use products or services from settlements when they signed on to help build a new modern Palestinian city, north of Ramallah. Under the new law those who sponsor a "geographically based boycott" - which includes any part of the Jewish state or its settlements - could be sued for damages in a civil court by the party injured in the boycott call. The petitioner is not required to prove that "economic, cultural or academic damage" was caused, only that it could reasonably be expected from the move. "The State of Israel has for years been dealing with boycotts from Arab nations, but now we are talking about a homegrown boycott," said the author of the legislation, lawmaker, Zeev Elvin, the Associated Press news agency reported. i hope the post is not above your word count limit. -
The Israeli parliament has passed a controversial law that will punish any Israeli individual or organisation boycotting West Bank settlements. Rights groups say the legislation stifles freedom of speech and compromises Israeli democracy. After failed attempts to delay debate, it was voted through 47-36. It follows several Israeli calls to boycott institutions or individuals linked to Jewish settlements on occupied Palestinian land. link israel is in the hands of extremists who continue to compromise its democracy. lets see if the israeli supreme court will stand up for democracy or give in to the extremist government.

what about all these programs and agencies: - Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) - United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) - United Nations Conference on Trade and Development --International Trade Centre (ITC) - United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) - UNDP Field Offices - United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) - United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) - United Nations Volunteers (UNV) - United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) - United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UNHSP-UN-Habitat) - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) - United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) - United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) ** - World Food Programme (WFP) - United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) ** - United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) - United Nations International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women (INSTRAW) - United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) - United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) - Counter-Terrorism Committee - International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) - International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) - United Nations Compensation Commission (UNCC) - United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC) shut her all down? getting rid of the UN will do more bad than good. of course, there are problems with it and in this instance, i agree with the canadian government for boycotting this conference. perhaps canada should submit a complaint and recommendation on how the system can be improved so we don't have a country like north korea chairing such a conference.

Why Do Poland & Russia Not Have to Give Back Territory...
bud replied to jbg's topic in The Rest of the World
bob and the rest of the zionist propagandists will continue to play the victim card with the bs cries (want to push us into the sea, leftwing/anti-semite media, etc. etc.) while in reality, all they want to do is for people to accept one of the worst and longest human rights violations since world war 2. -
it looks like all the information that people have shared in here in regards to greece's problems didn't penetrate the bubble around you.
-
it happens bob. most likely many rapes even by men with stature and achievements go unreported. Former Israeli president sentenced to 7 years for rape - link

he hammered home the facts and dissected your fox-style talking point that only works on the bottom feeders of society. you have been left pantless and it seems to be quite chilly where you are. best to bow down and leave instead of embarrassing yourself further.

where is the evidence? *chortle* show me how the canadian ship is funded by hamas.
-
there is no evidence presented that they are linked. it's all fabricated. link Israel army uses fabrications to assert flotilla financial links to Hamas The Israeli military claimed today that it had “uncovered financial links” between the Gaza-bound flotilla and the Palestinian movement Hamas. But their claims are based on unsubstantiated assertions and outright fabrications. Arafat Madi Mahmoud Shukri Israel’s military presented absolutely no evidence to back its laundry list of familiar accusations, except for supposedly one damning connection: ECESG Chairman Dr. Arafat Madi Mahmoud Shukri also serves as chairman of the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC). Due to PRC’s flagrant links to Hamas, it was declared illegal in Israel. However, this information is false. PRC’s General Director Majed al-Zeer told The Electronic Intifada that Shukri is not and has never been chairman of PRC. Moreover, the connection – even if it were true – does not amount to evidence of anything. here is how the israeli government creates bs and the useful idiots repeat them: Israel never presented any evidence to support its lurid accusations against PRC either, and it continues to function as a legal organization doing normal educational and advocacy work as we reported. Israel’s “evidence” of financial links between Hamas and the flotilla amounts to the alleged involvement of one person in an organization Israel baselessly defamed in the past, with another Palestine solidarity grouping that it is slandering now. In other words, Israel cites its own fabrications as “evidence.” The Israeli military press release also claims – without presenting a shred of evidence – that two other European organizations “are openly and intimately involved in Hamas charity efforts as well as efforts to illegally break the lawfully enforced naval blockade on Gaza.” If Israel had any actual evidence it would present it. Because it doesn’t it has to resort to this sort of laughable smear tactic backed only by its own fabrications.

it's called running away. i remember this one in particular. see how you ran away when your reply was challenged: link i didn't state my opinion as fact. stop posting misinformation. i gave reasons why i think they're behind it and over and over again, i stated that based on the evidence surrounding the video, i think they're most likely behind it. so stop lying.

all you've done is run away whenever your replies have been challenged. i've seen you run away several times after i've called you on your failed attempts to show any type of misinformation. my thread claims that the israeli government distributed the hoax video. it is my own personal opinion that they are behind it based on several factors. since it has not been proven that israel is not behind the hoax video, then i'm not 'spewing misinformation'. get it?
-
cite proof of misinformation or stfu.
-
really? maybe you should learn a little about the people behind the flotillas, especially those from the united states and canada. there are members of LGBT on those ships. so your comment about hamas' views and actions on homosexuals has no bearing on what the people on the flotilla feel about homosexuals. it's the israeli government's past and present propaganda using any means, including social media to get their propaganda out. it's about who originally posted the youtube video and his connection with the israeli government. all signs point to the government who has been caught lying many times.
-
i wrote the charter? you're back on the ignore list.
-
how is that connected to a hoax video distributed (and most likely created) by the israeli government portraying the flotilla activists as anti-gay?
-
LGBT supports human rights. you should learn a little about it: http://www.jadaliyya.com/pages/index/933/panel-video_how-now-bds-media-politics-and-queer-activism http://queersagainstpinkwashing.wordpress.com/2011/03/15/judith-butlers-oppna-brev-till-lgbt-centret/ http://www.bilerico.com/2010/07/jasbir_puar_on_homophobia_in_israel.php
-
who cares... hamas' views and actions on homosexuals has nothing to do with: 1) the flotillas campaign (which has members of LGBT participating in the campaign) and; 2) does not excuse creating a hoax video which seems to have been created by the israeli government
-
you're desperately hanging onto 'the intern did it' bs. why not respond to this: Update 3: A further clue as the hoax video’s origins appeared on Wednesday. As Max Blumenthal reported on Friday, one of the first people to promote the hoax video online seems to have been Neil Lazarus, a communications expert who claims on his professional Web site to have advised both the Israeli prime minister’s office and the Israeli ministry of foreign affairs. That Mr. Lazarus posted the video on his Facebook wall is known because one of his Facebook friends, Elan Miller, found it there and shared it with his friends on the social network about 6 hours after it was first posted on YouTube. On Wednesday, a blogger at the Electronic Intifada told The Lede that someone in Mr. Miller’s Facebook network said that the video had just 35 views on YouTube shortly after it was shared by Mr. Miller late Thursday night. That means that Mr. Lazarus was one of the first people to watch the video and then advise others to do so. He has not yet responded to a request to explain how it was that he found out about the clip so soon after it was posted and before it attained any popularity. the information showing that israel is capable goes beyond the above connection. also mentioned in this thread is israel's use of the 'gay card' in past internet campaigns. if you're looking for a page with a signature from the israeli government as the only way you'll agree that the israeli government was behind it, then this conversation is over. but if you want to look at all the information surrounding the event, then what happened points directly at the israeli government.
