all hitler wanted to do was to preserve the german character. can you believe some people supported the idea of ethnically cleansing germany?
-
obama, bush and pretty much all presidents have used executive orders.
-
the size of the government has increased under harper since he's come to power. so you should look at what actually happens instead of what they tell you happens.
-
as soon as there is any criticism of israel's discrimination of palestinians, you try to compare and thus lower israel's standards to the arab countries. by lowering israel's standards, you're confirming that israel is not a true democracy and that it discriminates against its arab citizens.
-
wrong bob. an arab israeli citizen has very little chance of bringing a spouse into israel, whereas, if you are jewish and want to bring your foreign spouse into israel, it would be handled differently, because israel's immigration policy is discriminatory.
-
then why not look at ron paul?
-
i didn't ask how you changed your text. i asked you how you can suddenly go from being a 'radical leftist lawyer' to 'true progressive (leftists are reactionaries)'? did you recently wake up and change your view of the world?
-
you already know about the land laws and how they are discriminatory. there is no need to go into wikipedia or any other site to prove this. what is important here is the meaning of discrimination: treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit is there really a point in debating the issues since we both agree and as you have already mentioned: and you're a bit like lieberman in which you are open and honest about your support for a racist and discriminatory system in israel. whereas some others like jbg and dop are more like bibi and are not open and honest about what they really support.
-
you have a history of making nonsensical comparisons to somehow silence criticism of israel and the u.s. so the onus is on you to back up whatever claim you try to make.
-
not so fast, skippy. explain what the constitution is and how that relates to the allocation of funds to schools and how it's anything like israel's policy.
-
my mistake. it is not mandatory. what about the other points? - land laws are discriminatory against the arab israelis - an arab israeli is discriminated against if he/she wants to sponsor his/her spouse, whereas a jewish israeli will have no problems - the distribution of funds to schools are discriminatory when it comes to allocation of funds to jewish and arab schools care to discuss the points above which go against democracy?
-
you pressed reply, but you didn't actually reply to the question that has been asked a few times. how did you go from 'radical leftist lawyer' to 'true progressive (leftists are reactionaries)'?
-
we've been over this and came to the conclusion that jews in israel have more rights, or arab israelis have less rights. for example: - land laws are discriminatory against the arab israelis - an arab israeli is discriminated against if he/she wants to sponsor his/her spouse, whereas a jewish israeli will have no problems - arab israelis are not allowed to join the israeli military - the distribution of funds to schools are discriminatory when it comes to allocation of funds to jewish and arab schools there are more, but since you can't deny of the above, then my point is made.
-
Jewish Israelis have more rights and freedoms than Arab Israelis.
-
did you go through a change in how you view the world? how did you go from being a radical leftist lawyer to a true progressive (leftists are reactionaries)?
-
you went from "radical leftist lawyer" to something else to "True Progressive (Leftists Are Reactionaries)" do you struggle with multiple personalities?

flip flopper? what are you talking about? 'greatest democracy..." drop the jingoistic b.s. who cares if israel looks better than iran/egypt/saudi/etc. when it comes to democracy. why the need to always lower the bar when it comes to israel? this isn't about caving in to enemies. this is about an obligation to do the right thing, which is to accept that the palestinians deserve a state of their own. you'd think the jews would feel a little more compassion and be more empathetic after what they went through. but to be fair, i don't want to generalize like that. a very large number do. just not the ones who control the government. oh c'mon bc2004. you really didn't have to turn into a turd. -

and the dems controlled the house before the latest mid-term elections. they're all the same and they know their political career rests on how much money they receive. especially from one of the biggest lobby groups, AIPAC. the problem with most of these congressmen and women (both dems and GOP) is that they win because of the amount of money they spend on being elected or re-elected. any american politician who dares to speak out against israel's behaviour or u.s.' 'unwavering support' of israel is attacked from all corners. when it comes to the GOP and dems, their internal policies may be a little different, but when it comes to foreign policy, which involves israel and the different wars, it's almost suicidal to speak out against them as the israeli lobby and the military industrial complex would make sure that their political career is shortened. -

it's not just the GOP. it's most of the dems and gop. here is the list of AIPAC donation to u.s. congressmen and women: http://www.dailypaul.com/136306/2010-aipac-contributions-of-congress -

they are not one and the same, in this situation, and i actually take that back. it's not even in israel's best interest. israel would be better off with a real 2-state solution. not the b.s. bibi, the settlers and the rest of the zionists who are dreaming of greater of israel. it doesn't really 'bug me so much'. i'm just a fan of justice and i believe this is good for the world. -

i thought you knew how things work. this is not about america's self interest. this is about israel's self interest. -

it's nice to see that you acknowledge how things work, but it's sad to see that you're okay with it. -

because obama has no other choice. he has very little maneuver room on the foreign policy front. when AIPAC has so much influence and control over your congress what can he do? as john mearsheimer (the self-hating jew) points out: the remarkably powerful Israel lobby makes it virtually impossible for him to put meaningful pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is committed to creating a Greater Israel in which the Palestinians are restricted to a handful of disconnected and impoverished enclaves. And Obama is certainly not going to buck the lobby with the 2012 presidential election looming larger every day. no kidding. the congress cheers whether he farts or not. bibi can tell them that he fornicated with their moms and they'll stand up and cheer. it's quite pathetic. the u.s. lawmakers don't care how destructive and stupid the policies are, they don't want to jeopardize their political career and the $ they get from AIPAC to pay for their beach front properties. this is why your country is nose diving the way it is. the american political system is too heavily controlled by the special interest groups. ron paul is your only hope. -

the us congress looks like a bunch of servants to bibi and AIPAC. the over enthusiastic clapping was kind of embarrassing to watch. i bet if bibi had farted, they would have stood up and cheered.
