So why aren't they occupying the police stations or the court houses?
-
Add that to the ever growing list of reasons that I'm thankful that I don't live there.

So, what, if you don't get what you want, it's OK to destroy other people's property?

We've learned our lesson the hard way in Manitoba as well. I wouldn't wish what we've endured on anyone.
-
Right. Because everyday people don't ever take advantage of tax deduction available to them. Nobody ever cashes that refund cheque.

I saw a guy drive a 3 million dollar car through the air through three buildings a good 500 ft up last night. It was in a movie, so it must have actually happened, right?

Indiana "Religious Freedom Restoration Act" controversy
Bryan replied to kimmy's topic in Religion & Politics
Many businesses absolutely do get to discriminate, as do governments. Discrimination that no one objects to happens every day. There is no difference between a baker who says he won't cater a gay wedding, and a photographer who says he won't do baby photos, or a vegan restaurant that doesn't want to cater a hunting lodge. Their business, they get to decide what work they want to do. What their reasons are is simply irrelevant. -
That they know how to so it, and you clearly don't. It's OK, at least we know why you're so confused now.

They shouldn't have to let ANYONE play, and they shouldn't have to justify it either. -
Both extremes can be perfectly fine depending on conditions. Some kids really can go and explore independently safely, others really do need to be tethered for their own safety.

A wife asking people to sign a card for their husband is hardly a political act. If anyone should be doing that job, it's her. Also, there is no mention of donation in the birthday card message I received. I'm on both the LPC and CPC lists, and they seem to be competing to outdo each other to see who can annoy the greatest number of their list members. I honestly wonder if they'd be more successful if they were less aggressive.

And Honda investing almost $1 billion in the Alliston plant. Huge new contract to make all of the CRVs for Europe. Not only are they hiring, but so are the 1500 suppliers they use. Unlike most lefties, conservatives can actually do the math on that one.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. -
It's not even that. You can be "earning" a lot of money on paper, but still not be accumulating anything.

A distinction without a difference. Pay for a cake, pay to use the treadmill. -

That's about the full scope of the argument. My dad made a good wage, therefor I should not be allowed to.

It does a really good job of illustrating just how ridiculous the social justice movement is. Enough of Elfwick's satire is indistinguishable from actual arguments put forth by SJWs that it's easy to see why someone who believes in such lunacy could be so easily trolled by it.- 47 replies

The guarantee is the interest on the loan. The overall health of the auto sector is a benefit for all. Canada already supplies parts for many cars not made in Canada, and they do that without anyone being bound to do so.

Big Pharma and Lawsuits related to vaccines
Bryan replied to GostHacked's topic in Health, Science and Technology
Thank you for proving my point. -
The auto industry is global. Trying to artificially force any part of it to remain local will only drive it away. Canadian companies make a lot of auto parts, up to and including building full cars, for many foreign automakers. This includes making them in Europe. Because of that, anything that benefits the overall auto manufacturing sector, benefits Canadian manufacturing.

You can, and you should if you truly believe that B is less bad than A. I've voted this way in the last few municipal elections. I didn't like any of the options, but one of the front runners was the worst choice of the bunch, so I voted for the one most likely to beat them. That worked out alright. The guys I voted for won, they each turned out to be just as bad as I thought they'd be, but I'm still thankful that we didn't get saddled with the one that was even worse.
