Apple Corporation is Bad for Technology
Bryan replied to MiddleClassCentrist's topic in Health, Science and Technology
So much for the Apple-haters claims about iOS being so insecure!! The thing people need to understand about this case is the FBI is asking Apple for something that does not exist by design. There is no back-door, Apple has no ability to let them in. If they could let the FBI in, then anyone with bad intent could also find their way in. A back door is an open door. -
I completely agree. "Money Grossed" is not a marker of anything when comparing previous movies. Total tickets sold matter, and tickets per capita matters even more.
-
Probably not a bad idea either if enough evidence can be found of it being official policy. There was definitely something untoward going on that so much of it happened in the same kinds of circumstances, and it was dealt with in pretty much the same way each time.

As much as it's illegal to become a Hell's Angel or a holocaust denier. Personal thoughts are your own, it's association, action, dissemination, etc that cross the line.

List ISLAM as a criminal organization. People from all walks of life and all cultures and countries can decide on their own if they want to identify with that ideology or renounce it.
-
It's really easy. Deal with it the same way we deal with Hells Angels: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/hells-angels-marked-as-criminals-by-manitoba-justice-1.2546165

"Black" is not an ideology. There is no "Black" prophet who set the rules on paper for the ideology, and who led by violent example.

That would require dialamah to actually read it instead of taking other's word for it.
-
dialamah is probably misquoting me.

That's the Liberal party in a nutshell. They gravitate to the opposite of whatever is reasonable.

CIHI - Wait Times for Healthcare in Canada
Bryan replied to Michael Hardner's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The only thing my family and I are waiting for is to actually have to wait for any health care delivery, for anything. -
That's a fun position to have in the abstract. Totally unrealistic in practice.

People root for their home team. They keep with their own. People from their town, people from their country, people with their religion (or lack thereof), people wit their political outlook, people who look like them, people who speak the same language, etc, etc. They have an easier time relating to people who they identify as like them.

For the most part, yes. -
For sure. MADD's biggest problem is they focus too much on finding new ways to punish responsible people rather than working to stop people who are actually DRUNK from driving.
-
And those are Sunnis. The "moderate" ones.
-
Not as different as Snopes tries to paint it. It's factually true, not "mixed" as they put in their header. From their own article quoting Carter: It's exactly the same thing -- temporarily stop the influx a certain demographic so that you can manage a current threat that demographic might pose (real or imagined).
-
Or you can sum the whole thread up by stating the unequivocal fact that some posters here have no idea what's really in it either the Bible or the Koran other than what some activists have told them. The only cite they need is to read the damn things for themselves. But they won't do that. They literally do not have any idea what the words they are typing actually mean, but turn around and accuse people who really do know a LOT about the subject of not reading it. It's ridiculous, their position is a cartoon.
-
Yet again, I have significantly more actual knowledge of this than you do. Instead of reading activist blogs, try picking up a book. You do know what those look like, right?

Skeptical about Trudeau's commitment to climate change.
Bryan replied to G Huxley's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It's my grand kids that I'm thinking about -- not leaving them an insurmountable pile of debt that was spent chasing a phoney bogeyman, and instead leaving them the country in a solid economic position. -
Ridiculously false. Only someone who has no idea what they are talking about would make such a statement.

I fully understand that there is a substantial difference. If you took the time to educate yourself, you would too.
