  1. Perplexity and dynamics of these relationships in MiddleEast is difficult to comprehend, especially if one hasn't had first hand experience. As I said, the whole notion of Iran becoming nuclear has nothing to do with religious nutjob, wiping Israel off the map, and all common beliefs but has everything to do with shifting the balance if power in favor of Iran and protect their national interest against foreign meddling.
  2. De ja vu. Critics will argue that Israel with constant rhetorics of attack is a threat to a national sovereignty of (Iran) and a threat to it's national security.
  3. It has always baffled me. Iran is home to one of the largest Jewish community outside of Israel even today. Why should they want to kill Jews?
  4. The point concerns Israel attacking Iran which is getting so much coverage in the news....If they water to attack they would have
  5. Aye? The kind of peace that we have witnessed in Libya and elsewhere. Hmmm...No thanks!
  6. You will have to wonder if Israel with over 200 nuclear warhead wanted to attack Iran would be so much hype in the news? The repercussions far outweigh taking such action.
  7. Point still stands...what is the relevance to Iran. Unless you want to go off tangent which is your tendency.
  8. Yeah, you should try the humane compassion sometimes especially about countries that often get negative coverage in the news every now and then...
  9. Yeah, and I got out of the wrong side of the bed today and feel like venting my frustration on Iran with irrelevant comments. The very country that is the subject of an attack on this thread has been under chemical attack by Sadam! Oh the irony of it! But hey let's make some more scaremongering. Afteral, it's all the faults of da joooos, oops I meant to da eyeranians.....
  10. Ok, I will take a stab at this really really hard Sharkman but...please do enlighten me why has those evil commies (Russia) paired up with Iran? Nothing much lots of rhetorics no substance, but hey a lot of people do. But I guess what you meant was a comment he made that "Israel must be wiped off the map", which was mistranslated. So what's your point? Let me pre-empt your next reaction before you start going on about this. There is no love for this guy at home nor outside of Iran. But let's imagine this, if both your neighbouring countries are occpied by foreign forces keeping in mind that there is a constant rhetorics of attacks by US and Israel surely having some kind of nuclear capability gives you reassurance that you will not become an easy target and used as a deterent. Just sayin... This is hardly any surprise and Iranians know this best. Bombing a country based on this premise won't resolve the issue and would have long term consequences for US. Many million russians and other nationalities too lost their lives. What happened in WWII is tragic. What is the relevance here? Millions of Iranians and iraqis lost lives through a lengthy war too. I am sure they do not want their people (including their jewish community) to be wiped out either
  11. And what is the relevance of your post to the topic being discussed here??? Or are you discriminating against iranians because they are part of that place? Who are you to justify an iranian born as a muslim shall bear the burden of these terrorist activities (lumping it as "muslim world"? Your negative generalisation/ ignorance to misrepresent a nationality based on religious belief is truely shocking to say the least! You often criticize people critical of israeli policies which is not surprising. Yet you show no tolerance for people who defend iranians constantly and indiscriminately viewed though a tinted spectacle and tarnished as terrorist muslims!
  12. That the problem with these kinds of language.....demonizing everybody else considered uncivilized.
  13. "Indeed those bloody 'commies' deserved what they got. Let them starve." Now I am not gonna sit here and cite where I have seen this quote just because some people are in denial...USSR and its people were tarnished as the baddies in the 80s like what is happening to iranians today. I am still surprised to see that some can not even distinguish between iranians and their government.... Exactly. This has been my point all the time. They guy may be fanatic but he is not stupid to undermine the consequences which is MAD (Mutually Assured Distruction) Furthermore, the history has many examples of countries that managed to gradually evolve and change from within. Do not be under any illusion that the average Iranians today with 65% below the age of 30 is more in tune with their iphones, Ipads, latest trends in fashion. They are also aspiring to many own great talents, film directors, scientists, entrepreneurs, etc than ayatollahs and their antiquated preachings...We need to reach them not alienating them because someone tells us so.
  14. Kinda resonates that old infamous quote: "you're either with us or against us" ....everything must be the fault of those evil eyeranians....damn!
  15. Yeah, a country that indeed had nuclear (US) and used it against a non-nuclear state (Japan)
  16. And do you think you have??? What has holocaust got to do with this? Why do people play this card everytime?! No body is going to annihililate anybody! If Nazis committed those crimes against jews you can't go for the rest of your life and place the blame on whichever future government you don't like or approve of and link it to existence of jews. Where does all this madness end? Do you want to pick a fight with every single government that does not approve certain policies of Israel? What will that achieve apart from bolstering the position of fanatics all around the world? If Iran attacks Israel conventionally or hypothetically by nuclear (which still there is no proof that they have) they will know the score! Iran endured a bloody war with Iraq and lost over million lives too. Aren't those lives lost dear to their family, friends and loved ones not worthy? Indeed any other conflicts? If Israel attacks Iran without being attacked in the first place then yes israelis do have to answer for killing innocent people.
  17. yeah...Infact it goes back to Shah's era when Iran was still an ally... Full article: http://www.defpro.com/news/details/29467/?SID=7978d17ae803d6d14fdb131ed8413327
  18. I think you will find that's an understatement especially from the UK's stance.
  19. That's true. However, by that logic you could also argue why countries like Iran threatened constantly by an attack from Israel or US may want ot go down the route of becoming nuclear as a deterrent.... Especially when the country is engulfed by US troops on both its borders (Afghanistan and Iraq)fearing you may be the next target!
  20. Well thanks to the israeli whistle blower vanunu mordechai there is a very strong possibility that Israel possess the nuclear capability. So I am more inclined to say yes they have it rather than maybe. Middle East is already a destabilized region thanks to weapons manufacturers arming the despotic monarch arab gulf countries namely Saudis to the teeth. The point is not about whether Iran posseses nuclear bomb but rather why should Iran use it when the repercussions of an attack is clearly known.
  21. I think you have a point there that if Iran possesses nuclear capability Israel will no longer have the monopoly power in the region. I think this is the excuse for an attack than what is the common belief.
  22. Not at all. Like I already said Israel has more than 200 nuclear warhead at its possession and the support of the US. Any possible attacking scenario you can think of has devastating consquences.
  23. What's the alternative? If Greece opts out things can even get worse. All the market indications are pointing that way.
  24. Saying it and actually doing it are two diferent things. Rhetorics is what we are all used to. Like WMD claims, bla, bla bla. The clerics may be crazy as some suggest but they are not stupid to push the button. Remember the claim that Israel has over 200 nuclear bombs? Well, if true which all the intelligence seems to suggest the mullahs wouldn't risk it.
