Canada may have to consider hedging its future..

The reason why China failed when war began was that Chiang Kai Sek try to protect his own army and use Japanese to kill his potential rivals. The most important force to drive Japanese out was Chinese themselves. -
Canada may have to consider hedging its future..

I don't know that, but even China did that, I don't think they did anything wrong. The United States is the largest threat to the whole world, it will launch a war any time and any place, and kill any number of people there. How many Iraqi civilians dead, how many dead in Yugoslavia? how many dead in Somali in Clinton's time, how many dead in Vietnam and in Korea, If there were no US in the world, who knows how many wars can be avoid. Any nation has the right to seeking ways to protect its own people. Saddam is silly, because he thought if he give up all weapons, the US will not attack him. I think maybe it is because his WMD was given by US to fight Iran supported the by Soviet Union. I guess if Saddam really had some WMD at that time, the US might hesitate in attacking him. That is the correct way how to obtain peace and live a peaceful life. It is western logic that if anyone try to protect from being attacked by US is a threat to US. A thief often believes all others are thieves. -

China had been the most rich nation in the world for 2 thousand of years before 1840. It is not aggressive like western nations. Canada's future is depending on Canada itself not on China. If Canada still indulge in letting CAS, women's shelters, laws to destroy its families (the cell of society), let its kids become more selfish and don't care about learning, let more and more families struggle just for banks, insurance companies, hospital systems to earn more, struggle for non-sense legal attacking, Canada will have no hope. -
Divorce faster, cheaper; More kids will lost parents.

WHY MARRIAGE MATTERS FOR CHILDREN http://www.cief.ca/guest_articles/marriage_matters.htm Children from biological two-parent families have, on average, test scores and grade-point averages that are higher, they miss fewer school days, and have greater expectations of attending college than children living with one parent. Additionally, of those from either type of family who do attend college, those from two-parent families are seven to 20 percent more likely to finish college. Children from divorced homes are 70 percent more likely than those living with biological parents to be expelled or suspended from school. The Progressive Policy Institute, the research arm of the Democratic Leadership Council, reports that the “relationship between crime and one-parent families” is “so strong that controlling for family configuration erases the relationship between race and crime and between low-income and crime. This conclusion shows up time and again in the literature The vast majority of children who are raised entirely in a two-parent home will never be poor during childhood. By contrast, the vast majority of children who spend time in a single-parent home will experience poverty. The National Center for Health Statistics found that children living with their biological parents received professional help for behavior and psychological problems at half the rate of children not living with both biological parents.16 Other studies show the general health problems of children from broken homes is increased by 20 to 30 percent, even when adjusting for demographic variables. Child poverty soars in suburbs http://www.thestar.com/article/546882 While Toronto's child poverty rate (before taxes) is the highest at 32 per cent, up from 24 per cent in 1990, the suburbs have seen more dramatic increases. Markham jumped from 8 per cent to 20 per cent, and Mississauga has increased from 12 per cent to 21 per cent. For children living in families headed by a single mother, the likelihood of living in poverty is greater than 70%. http://http-server.carleton.ca/~sparlow/canada.htm The journal Pediatrics reported in 2002 that, “Children residing in households with adults unrelated to them were 8 times more likely to die of maltreatment than children in households with 2 biological parents. Risk of maltreatment death was elevated for children residing with step, foster, or adoptive parents.”21 It is critical to note that it is impossible for a child living in a same-sex parented family to live with both biological parents. It should deeply concern us that that child will be living in one of these family forms that increases risk of death by maltreatment. http://www.cief.ca/guest_articles/marriage_matters.htm Poor families are more likely be targets of women’s shelters and CAS It makes devoice easier, makes demand increase, more people will like to divorce without Legal Aid. And with the cases of increase abuse and crime, lawyers will have more work to do. Poverty, Crime, more tax need, less educated people, and more other problems. The women's shelters movement, CAS, the legal system is destroying more and more families for profit. They destroy the proven traditional value that formed in thousands of years. One of the largest problem it caused is developed country's developing speed becomes slower than some developing countries. -
Ont. to try making divorce faster, cheaper http://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/2009/12/16/ontario-divorce-law413.html More kids will lost one or both of parents. Shelters, CAS, court system will earn more from the tax you pay. Lawers will earn more. More family problems will be converted to social problems.

Don't know which UK culture is frowned and/or hated. Never seen a list of that. If the UK culture is hated, why the most important language here is English? -
Recommendations for 'painless' spending cuts?

I think the problem is caused by dominating market without competition. Even you privatize, if it a dominated market, it will still be the problem. Like if there is no Toyota, Honda, then GM, Chrysler will still there build high price cars. Intel and AMD make computer better, but now they begin to negotiate, the upgrade will be slow down and price will not go down as fast as before. Have alternative is always the best way to improve service at lower price. Many laws make many things need license, this make others no chance to enter dominated market, that is the reason we get poor service at high price. -

Just like people can use bank while they can also invest in stock market, people need hospitals while they also should have freedom to access alternative health solutions. -

If there are lots of immigrants crime, how will that imply? Each immigrant has provide an non-criminal record before he come, if they crime in Canada, that means they made first crime in their life in Canada. Why when a model citizen comes to Canada, he will become a criminal? What makes him did that? -
Your opinion on the War on Drugs
bjre replied to maple_leafs182's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes, if there is no war on drugs, lots of gun related crimes will be vanished, and drugs will become cheaper so that more people can afford it. But the health of lots of youth may sacrificed. Why cannot solve this problem with education? Because politicians want win in election, and business people want to earn money, they have no moral to be serve as models to young people, they have no way to educate them and they don't care about that. All politicians can do is with threat, cops, jails, with violence similar with criminals prefer to use. -

Because America takes away their money. Here is an example how America did that: A pattern emerges. There are lots of losers in this system but one clear winner: the Western banks and US Treasury, making the big bucks off this crazy new international capital churn. I think the largest cost for each family is house. House take too much money that people have less to buy others. How much it take to build a house? Server people in several month with some material that can buy in Home Deport. It should be in several man month. Then why lots of family with two people full time work need 20 years or 30 years to buy a house? It is because banks and agents takes too much money. I think the maximum mortgage time should be restricted to 10 years to prevent bank take even more that limit people's purchase power for all other products that is critical to economy. -

Do you agree if not Chinese invented the technology of making paper, knowledge would be very difficult to spread. There would be no modern science? I even doubt about this. Because I believe invention is driven by demand and the knowledge we have and money we have. When all these are available, a new invention will be there no matter who invent it. Many inventions of America is invented by immigrants. -

More jobs means less crime. People has a job has less time to crime. Try to find support for your argument on finding statistics how many people in jails are born in canada and how many are from each of the the countries you listed. -

It is not that carbon that changes the climate, the solar activity changes it, which men are not able to do anything on that yet. Climate change driven by carbon is not based on science, it is a lie for political reason only.
