Atlanta Thrashers coming to Winnipeg?
maple_leafs182 replied to maple_leafs182's topic in Travel, Leisure and Sports
I hate society, fuck the economy. Hockey should be played where hockey matters. I hate how money rules the world. Slaves to our own creation. Winnipeg is number 1 or 2 in the AHL for ticket sales, I'm pretty sure we would do better then cities like Phoenix and Atlanta where they practically give tickets away for free. Winnipeg probably doesn't have enough corporate support but I really don't know. I still think we are next in line to get a team. We are an untapped market as far as the NHL is concerned. I'm not sure how it works with shared revenue and all that stuff with the NHL. -
Economies aren't the problem, the entire monetary system is the problem. First off, paper can't be money. Private Central banks worldwide have the power to manipulate economies, they alone can bring nations to their knees by controlling interest rates and the money supply. There is more then one way to control the world. I don't like sounding like a conspiracy theorists, but central banks control the world and by extension, central bankers control the world. All you have to do is control what the people value most, money. It is quite obvious, I don't know how people don't see this. We should not be money's slaves, we should be it's masters.

who gets to make the choices.

I'm pretty sure this thread has gone a little off topic.

Its not the trailer, its the Intro. It is just some kids going around to different politicians asking them questions about the monetary and banking system. It isn't anti government. Here is the second part.
-
Don't judge a book by its cover. That is just the intro.

This is a documentary of a youth group going around to different politicians asking them the question, where does money comes from and asking how the banking system works. Some people they interview are Jack Layton, Paul Martin and Elizabeth May. I think it is a very good watch. It's about 2 hours long. If you don't really understand the banking system or the monetary system I recommend watching this movie.

I really don't understand why we do the things we do. Can anyone tell me?

Thats the problem, its been thousands of years and we still have not learnt to care for each other. We should not make others suffer while a small percentage of the populations reaps all the benefits. I don't understand Societies mentality.

People suffered through the great depression.

I don't see Americans i just see people. I could really care less about countries. The way I see it, why split us into different countries. I'm pretty sure we can all find a common goal in working together and trying to make life better for all of us, after all we are all the same species. You wouldn't believe me if I told you how well the technique Divide and Conquer works for controlling populations. I don't buy it.
-
Many have noticed. Many will remain willfully ignorant. The only glimmer of hope I see in our future is that the Second American Revolution may be underway. (thanks Ron Paul) I do believe we need a new world order, just not the one that is being sold to us.

You must due away with the old system if you wish to bring in a new system. Wealth does not disappear, it just switches hands, who wins if there is a depression.

I don't think they've made a mistake, I'm pretty sure everything is going to plan.

I know the stimulus is creating jobs, I am not denying that. What would you expect when you pump billions into the economy. But the jobs that are being created are only there because of the stimulus and will disappear as soon as the stimulus does. America needs to stop buying everything from China and start producing/manufacture goods. They aren't doing that. You have to realize that the entire problem is over consumption. What caused the real estate market to collapse? over consumption. People buying houses they couldn't afford with money they didn't have. Nothing has changed, the government is encouraging people to buy more with money they don't have. They can't spend their way out of this one. What got them out of the Great Depression, WW2, a productive capacity. And if they just continue to prop up their economy by printing money, they will just continue to inflate their dollar and that will lead to even bigger problems. I know it would of been bad had they not had the stimulus. The problem is they are making things worse and it will last even longer now.
-
You can't have a jobless recovery. USA needs to start producing more and stop consuming. That is the only way they can fix the problem they have. They aren't doing that, they are just consuming more. Once the stimulus is gone, reality will hit and they will be in a bigger mess then they would of been if they had let the Too Big Too Fails fail in the first place. The Bailout bubble will dwarf the real estate bubble. Digging themselves a deeper hole.

Atlanta Thrashers coming to Winnipeg?

I'll just add this, my friend's dad's friend who is a season ticket holder for the Manitoba Moose said he was contacted and asked if he would like to pay more to upgrade to NHL seats for the 2010-11 season. I never met this guy so he could easily be lying. -
If you want street violence to dramatically decrease, legalize drugs. And if you really want it to disappear, lets work on solving poverty. Poverty is the mother of crime. It shouldn't take us thousands of years to solve poverty.

you a fan of Hitler by any chance. People have the right to do whatever they want with their lives even if it may not contribute to society, it is their life let them live however they wish.
-
I hope it's true, but far too many times have rumors of a team coming to Winnipeg been wrong.

Afghanistan - failure or success?

a war that was lost before it began. -
Kennedy turned this idea down, what would Bush of done? 9/11 anyone? Both parties are corrupt, a real third party is emerging and I'm sure it will give the Republocrats a run for their money. Ron Paul seemed like the only competent nominee out of both parties. He would address issues like why Terrorist want to be terrorists in the first place, not just say terrorists are a threat and must be stopped. And if I'm living in a dream world, don't wake me up.

I'm pretty sure I'm neither.
