  1. I understand but that is not what I am advocating. Scarcity is the problem, it isn't a must for society. Scarcity is what leads to poverty, theft and other social problems. I understand that supply and demand is the foundation of our economy but our economy is wasteful and it lacks morals. We need to start creating cities that create abundance for the citizens so we can faze out money. We can have farms/green houses completely operated by machines, we could use technology for what it is suppose to be used for and relieve humans of redundant tasks.
  2. We load our food with preservatives, growth hormones and other chemicals because it is cheaper to do so. We are then left with eating food that isn't very or less healthy for us. We use fossil fuels to run our economy even though we have technology to be completely green. We are then left with pollution like in the Gulf. We fight stupid wars over resources, casualty numbers are rising... We don't help people who starve around the world because it is cheaper not to. The entire social system we have set up is fucking stupid, there is no logic in anything we do. Having a strong economy proves what? we are better then others and deserve to have a better standard of living then the others...
  3. I get what you are saying and I do understand that trading between nations helps build relationships. I'll agree with you somewhat but I think if we got rid of trade and the monetary based economy and just worked simply on helping each other and trying to benefit society as a whole, that would be far superior in achieving a peaceful and prosperous world. When I say 'we', I don't mean just Canada, i mean humanity as a whole. The wars in the middle east are over resources. They may aid some but they do not solve the problem of poverty. We live in a world now where we don't need everyone to work in order to maintain a functioning society. With the technology and knowledge we have now we could create a world with abundance and eliminate things like poverty. Money and the economy are just walls set up in our brain stopping us from reaching our full potential.
  4. Someone please tell me again why we live the way we do. We fight wars in foreign countries for monetary purposes and we wonder why people hate us. We force people to live in poverty or on the streets and wonder why there is so much crime. We give gangs monopolies over drugs and wonder why there is so much street violence. Different economic or trade policies won't solve our problems.
  5. China kept its currency the Yuan undervalued and this made it less expensive for exports. Thanks for the suggestion... Jesse Ventura signed a deal a few years back with MSNBC to have his own show on the network, a week before the show was suppose to go on air someone from MSNBC called his agent and said "Does Jesse really oppose the war in Iraq?", his Agent said "Yes", the guy from MSNBC said "do you think he will change his mind?", the agent said "probably not", Jesse's show got cancelled before it even started. Phil Donahue was MSNBC top rated show, he opposed the war as well, he got fired. What network would fire the anchor of their top rated show. General Electric(GE) up until I think last year owned NBC, it now owns 49% of NBC. GE is an arms manufacturer, would they want any stories on NBC that could affect an arms contract, probably not, there is a conflict of interest... This has nothing to do with a conspiracy it just shows you what corporations will do in order to make a buck. Eisenhower warned us about the military industrial complex.
  6. "It is well enough that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." - Henry Ford "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs". - Thomas Jefferson "The colonies would gladly have borne the little tax on tea and other matters had it not been that England took away from the colonies their money, which created unemployment and dissatisfaction. The inability of colonists to get power to issue their own money permanently out of the hands of George the III and the international bankers was the PRIME reason for the Revolutionary War". - Benjamin Franklin "Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The Bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create deposits, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take it away from them, and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of Bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create deposits." — SIR JOSIAH STAMP, (President of the Bank of England in the 1920's, the second richest man in Britain) Usury is the problem. Just learn the monetary system and the conspiracy becomes obvious.
  7. The US economy will crash again. The stimulus did stimulate the economy but it is only temporary and will make the problem worse in the long run. The jobs that the stimulus and low interest rates created will disappear once the stimulus stops and interest rates go higher. The problem with the US is they went into too much debt and over consumed, how do you guys think going into more debt and consuming more will solve the problem. The US needs to start producing goods and buying local if they want to fix their problem. Interest rates too low for too long does create inflation. Inflation is the expansion of the money supply, low interest rates encourages borrowing and new money is created threw loans. The more loans, the more new money, the more inflation.
  8. I just looked Anarcho-Syndicalism up, in some aspects it does seem similar to a resource based economy but it isn't the same. The good thing about Socialism and Communism in society is the fascism that takes hold is obvious as appose to a Democracy where it is hidden behind money. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms is nothing more then a Charter of Privileges. Either you have unlimited rights or you have no rights.
  9. Democracy isn't the best form of government. Democracy doesn't protect the rights of every person, 51% of the population can take away the rights of the other 49%, democracy is mob rule. Politics isn't the big problem, it is a problem but just not the big problem. Universal suffrage will continue as long as we use a monetary based economy, this form of an economy has no morals. It creates pollution, it creates poverty and all the violence and crime associated with that, we fight wars over it, and it enslaves nations and citizens threw debt. The monetary based economy is the big problem. First we should take a survey of all the resources on the planet so we know what we have to work with. We then design new cities using state of the art within the confines of the resources. These cities should be the most efficient, environment friendly and sustainable. The cities would rely on robots to replace human labor from repetitive and redundant tasks. The cities will create an abundance of food and supply homes to all the citizens. Everything we make will be as recyclable as possible. No more money, no more patents, no more copyright, no more recessions or depression, no more poverty, no more pollution and best of all, no more advertisement. That is a Resource Based Economy. Before that happens, we first need to realize working together is for more beneficial to all of us, we we need to change our values.
  10. Governments get central banks to buy government bonds in order for dollars to come into circulation. Central banks create this money out of thin air and charge interest on it automatically putting the nation into debt. Dollars are created out of debt. Commercial banks loan us dollars that they create out of thin air and charge interest on it. The banks in Canada don't actually require a reserve to loan but i think they keep around 1:9 of dollars in their reserves. They actually pay us in Bank Notes which are considered as good as Dollars. We then have to labor in order to earn real dollars to pay them back, we also have to pay interest on the loan. This is creating new money in the system. Inflation is the expansion of the money supply. The more Dollars their are the less they are worth. Right now Canada, America, and many other countries have interest rates near zero which encourages lending. The more loans the more the money supply is expanded the more inflation there is. Central banks are printing billions in stimulus which is also expanding the money supply. Gold is going up as a result. Inflation causes prices to rise, it is an indirect tax on the people, our cost of living goes up. So Central banks have the power to control the purchasing power of nations currencies. Many central banks go to the Bank for International Settlement for, well here is what it says on their homepage "The BIS is an international; organisation which fosters cooperation among central banks and other agencies in pursuit of monetary and financial stability. Its banking services are provided exclusively to central banks and international organisations". Central banks get policies from these guys. The conspiracy is that a bunch of International bankers and corporate leaders control the monetary system and the economy. Right now they are working towards creating a one world economy, they could achieve that by creating a one world currency. They would first need to bring down the US dollar as the world reserve currency, which they are doing. The UN just said that the dollar should be ditched as the world reserve currency. They are just trying to centralize power.
  11. I have been saying for a while that the economy will crash again. It is actually quite obvious that the economy will collapse again. The people who are saying it wont collapse are probably getting their info from the people who never predicted the collapse in the first place, they truly don't understand that a productive capacity is what makes an economy grow and that going into more debt will not solve the problem of being in too much debt.
  12. The dollar is what is in trouble. Having interest rates near zero encourage people to get loans to help stimulate the economy, all these new loans equal new money entering the system, along with the trillion from stimulus, the U.S is just flooding the market will dollars. Inflation is inevitable. No country will want to US bonds because they will lose more and more of purchasing power the longer they hold on to them. Not to mention the UN is telling people to ditch the dollar as the world reserve currency. The dollar is doomed. As for the economy there is no growth in the real economy. America needs to start producing goods, right now it is just running off artificial spending that can't last forever. There is no recovery.
  13. It will happen sooner then that. I'm thinking within a year or two. Unless the U.S. goes to war with Iran, then maybe a little longer.
  14. We don't live in a society of plenty because we have a monetary based economy. If it rained gold for 5 minutes everyone would fill their house with gold, if it continued to rain gold for 2 weeks people would be trying to get rid of all that gold. Scarcity is what makes something valuable. The less of that commodity there is, the more the company can charge for it and the bigger profits the company can make. Profits are what drive the economy. We can't live in a society of plenty because it wouldn't be profitable.
  15. Exactly, something that we are doing is wrong. As for as I can tell it is the monetary based economy is the biggest problem in society. It creates many of the social problems we have today...wars, poverty, pollution and much of the street crime. Those problems will never go away until we change the how the economy is structured. Our social problems are all technical not political. And if you guys still think a monetary based economy is just excellent, watch America slip into depression, we will see food riots and tax revolts, all because of the monetary based economy.
  16. I'm not saying Canada should only trade with Canada. I'm saying we need to start working together, instead of us all having our own bank accounts there should be one bank account we all use. I'm saying the resources of this planet don't belong to BP or Exon Mobil, they belongs to all of us. I'm not a complete anarchist, I do believe there is some role for government. Laws don't remove the criminal element from society, if you haven't noticed we've had laws and government for a long time yet criminals still flourish. We have to look at what motivates criminals to become criminals in the first place.
  17. You have an inborn capacity for violence, that is nature... I think you were born in a world based on scarcity, from that you are forced to compete with others and from that competition comes violence. And that is nurture correct, where does nature come into play. Anyways my whole point was that the reason why the world is full of corruption, poverty, pollution and war is because of the monetary based economy. We could eradicate all the corruption in government and business in the world and it would only be a matter of time before it corrupts again. It is this system based on profit that can't afford to have morals. We keep thinking politics will solve our problems, it never has and never will. Socialism, capitalism, democracy, communism, they are all doomed to fail. This entire planet needs a good shaking. Try not eating for two days, chances are your stomach will hurt and you will begin to feel sick. Just try to feel the pain of others. People are not meant to live like that.
  18. Well I don't believe they think or know they are lying. They are fed their information from the government. Now do I think the U.S. government is lying, yes. Personally I think corporate news shouldn't mold public opinion, I think should be their to inform the public.
  19. Whatever, it is still based on the concept of free trade. Free trade may have worked well in the passed and I admit it does work to some extent now but now it has become far too destructive. We fight wars over it, environmentally we are destroying the planet because of it. Politics won't solve the problems we face today, we need to change the way we operate as a whole.
  20. I have no obsession with corporate news the lies, I just like to look things from different perspectives. I don't have cable so I can't watch corporate news. Lucky for me coming to this forum is like watching corporate news because people on this forum mainly talk about what they see on corporate news.
  21. Know what politics is, it is theater to keep the masses entertained and to make it look like we are actually doing something. It is similar to wrestling, they use emotion to control how we feel. Politics solves no actual problems. War, poverty and disease are true problems. All other problems like economic or banking problems are artificial problems. As for laws, they do not actually solve problems. Laws are what we use when we do not have a solution to set problem. A lot of crime comes as a result of poverty. If we just solved poverty we could drastically lower crime rates, but that can never be accomplished in a monetary based economy. In order to solve poverty we would need to create an abundance of the essentials and we all know that abundance is not profitable, scarcity is. Their is no such thing as a evil person, they became who they are as a result of the conditioning they have received threw out their life. I am positive that if we gave everyone easy access to the necessities of life, we would act a lot different to this planet and each other then how we act now. Human nature is a lie, it is how we are nurtured that determines who we become.
  22. If you want to see how much corporate media lies watch this movie. It a documentary by Oliver Stone on Hugo Chavez. Here is a trailer.
  23. Just came back from Toronto and the G20. How did the mainstream media paint the picture of what went on protest wise. I did see a chard cop car, one on fire, a few other smashed cop cars and broken windows. I think it was mostly a small group of "anarchists" that did the rioting. From what I saw it was mostly a peaceful protest. The amount of police there was unnecessary. They would have three or four rows deep of cops blocking off streets to allow buses full of cops drive by. On Saturday I'm sure 80% of cops could of been replaced by pylons and they would of been about as affective in directing the march and controlling the protest. On Sunday they had groups of 7-10 cops on street corners all around doing nothing. They were even more useless then just having pylons because why would you want groups of 7-10 pylons on street corners. Some of the smashed cop cars had "Police State" spray painted on the side, I assume some of the destruction was a result of having such a nigh police presence. I don't even know what came out of the G20, I guess I'll look that up now.
  24. Politics is pointless, it is just peoples opinions. We should be applying the scientific method to solve our problems. Politicians do not know how to solve problems.
