well, it is more of an exaggeration but I think that it is fair to say that the amount of Israel sympathizers surpasses the amount of Palestine sympathizers..
Soldiers are only the chess pieces, they do not make holistic decisions.. It is up to the government to think of the proper policies..
Besides, sure, adrenaline can cloud up the conscience.. but this is hardly the case.. Israeli air strikers.. does that compare to the fear of the 1942 Russian soldier?
The British Empire about 67 years ago compared with modern day Israel? Anyhow, so if the British fail to act morally, the Israelis should have no reason to?
And so we must find new leaders when they fail to protect humanity
please, what's next? you want me to list every single wartime atrocity ever committed in human history?
Besides, we both know that Hitler was much more despicable than the British Empire..
Because we are all humans.. Why should the political leaders have the power to lead if they refuse to protect the ones who gave them power?
Everything has rules.. even Daytona.. It's called order. So I suppose you do not agree with the international laws? You could employ your argument in support of Hitler's conquest over Europe or imperial Germany..
It's a shame that we have these things now.. We have to respect human rights? What gives?
The deaths of 300 Palestinians could not be justified.. How many people have died because of the Palestinian rocket attacks? Is the direct assault of a local Palestinian drug store justified? No, it is against the Geneva Convention.. Sure, the Palestinian attacks are illegitimate as well but an eye for an eye will perpetuate this conflict for an eternity..
Too bad an opinion without much influence could hardly be taken into consideration.. Unfortunately, GWB, Harper and our foreign minister believes that the attacks are justified..
if they really want peace, a full-blown invasion would probably be the WORST idea.
I'm quite disappointed to see that the North American opinion concerning the Arab-Israeli conflict is oh so ever biased..
Give me liberty or give me death.. What is the point of living if you have to live according to someone else?
As a human being, I have the freedom of conscientious.. Only when you mob up a society, you may be lacking this freedom.
We do have freedom from sin, it is just an individual responsibility.. We can't be morally babied all the time
No but freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom of conscientious and religion are strong moral values.. A little something called freedom.
Humanitarianism is a strong moral cause.. We have done many good things under secularism, you just choose to point out the little bad parts.
Who really cares? We shouldn't be so insecure.. Let them think whatever they want. You can try to spread the gospel; but in the end, it is an individual responsibility.
Well said..
The key word is "integration", not "melting pot". In this country you are free to wear whatever you want.. Where do you get the idea that somebody wearing special clothing is unable to love the country? I would be more concerned with the person who doesn't believe in our charter, our citizenship act and wants to implement state religion..
By the way, Bhurka and Niqabs will only frighten the ignorant people..
Sorry, I thought you were implying God in your argument..
Anyhow, I do agree with you somewhat.. While I do believe in Jesus, I do not agree with some of the "mainstream Christian" ideas.. Label me whatever you want, I don't care. I have my own relationship with my creator and I don't need to identify myself with a large "authentic" church
