I don't know where you are coming from, but Canada is doing fine.. Out of all the G7 countries, we have the least debt. Oh yeah, that too.. We ARE in the G7.. I don't think that we are having too much trouble succeeding. Besides, if anything, our geographical situation makes most of our trade with the United States.. The European Union is called the European union for a reason

Melting pot culture, white supremacy, illegal immigrants from south of the border.. Yes, I do believe that a lot of Americans have a negative outlook on immigrants.

I didn't realize that you had a spy camera hooked up on my computer monitor.. Or maybe, you have the ability to peer into my emotions by reading text on a computer screen - did god give you that ability as well? Quite frankly, I really don't give a shit about what you say, most of it is religious dogma anyway. Liberals = red/hell, Conservatives = blue/heaven. Faith faith faith faith, evil secularists, evil socialists.. No need for logic. I have not heard a single argument to my opposition with any substance. I was posting here for a good discussion and this is all I get. "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use" -
And what exactly is my point of view..? I just questioned why in the hell would we join the EU... Apparently you cannot read because I was opposing his statement, how could you prop us under the same point of view?
-
You might as well emigrate down to America, you don't seem to agree with most Canadian beliefs.. They are a republic down there, they hate immigrants, homosexuals and abortions... they also have mega-churches with dogmatic "Christians". Sounds like a dream come true doesn't it?

Why would we be part of the EUROPEAN Union?

Yes, we should blindly believe whatever the bible says until it is proven wrong

I could care less about what book the Queen reads before she goes to bed. The monarchy is fit for the nation and I will fully support it. Canada is secular, get over it

Belief in God - Dawkins Spectrum of Probabilities

What choice?! I certainly don't remember being asked to be born into this earth.. Let's cut the ad hominid acts alright? Jeez, no wonder people are so against Christian dogma, anybody who asks a question contrary to conventional beliefs are "selfish and self absorbed". Give me a break.. -

I also reject the idea that our birth was ultimately masterminded by God.. So where were we before we were born? In heaven? So what did we do to deserve a life on earth? -

If it was God's decision to have me born, more the worse. So it was his idea to bring us into a world of damnation.. -

A couple of things.. Why are we in this situation? Did we choose to be born? According to scripture, mankind is damned because of Adam and Eve; am I somehow directly connected to the first sin ever committed? Now we are born into the human race, which has already been damned, so because I was born, I am damned by my human nature. Sounds like collective punishment to me.. Secondly, what makes you think that I would want to live forever? Forever should not be underestimated.. -

Eternal damnation for a lifetime of sin is quite silly to me.. Does 50 or so years of sinning merit an eternity in hell? So basically, we were brought into existence against our own will. More importantly, we were brought into a world where it is our very nature to act in ways which condemn us to hell. Is this some kind of game? Oh yeah, did the First Nations people ever get a chance? -
If Canada Supports Israel, Why Don't We Do Something?

but it's okay to claim rights to a land that was already occupied because you say that it is your "promised land"? The Jewish people started fighting first when they wanted to be their own country.. -

If you don't believe in Jesus you don't get to go to heaven. According to Christianity, there are only two ways: heaven and hell It is talking about humility, one of the main characteristics of a Christian. When you because a Christian, nobody is expecting you to become a perfect being. According to Christianity, we are all inherently sinful and as long as we are human beings we will remain so. Blessed are those who accept their imperfections, repent and seek Jesus -

As much as I don't like it, that is what he said. Jesus is the way and only through him could somebody find eternal life in heaven.. -

Mark 10:21 — “Jesus looked at him and loved him. ‘One thing you lack,’ he said. ‘Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.’ ” Give to everyone who asks of you, and from him, who takes away your goods, do not ask them again! Luke 6:30 Luke 6:24 — “But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.” Ecclesiastes 5:12 — “The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the abundance of a rich man permits him no sleep.” Acts 20:35 — The Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive. When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest. You shall not strip your vineyard bare, or gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the alien: I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 19:9-10 He who despises his neighbor sins, but happy is he who is gracious to the poor. Proverbs 14:21 There are plenty of these verses... Don't be rich, sharing is caring.. Left enough for you? -
I'm not supporting the Palestinians nor am I supporting the actions of the Israelis.. I'm just saying that people rarely give the Palestinians the benefit of the doubt. Sure, there are some who think about both sides are agree with the Israelis anyway, but this is the mentality that I usually see
-
I don't think you read what I said that for... Somebody said that Hamas would be feeding us lies and I said that we wouldn't listen to them anyway because most of the people here are full out Israel supporters
-
Whats your point? most the people on this forum are in full support of the Israeli side of the argument

Airstrikes on the al-Mughraga neighbourhood, a farm and a home does not equal to a military target. Chapter III: Civilian Objects Article 52: General Protection of Civilian Objects 3. In case of doubt whether an object which is normally dedicated to civilian purposes, such as a place of worship, a house or other dwelling or a school, is being used to make an effective contribution to military action, it shall be presumed not to be so used.
-
Yes, Hamas is not innocent either.. Theyve been breaking the rules over and over again
-
she didn't say that it was unintentional.. she was just saying "too bad they had to get in the way".. "Unfortunately, there are those who pay the price for what Hamas is doing.." How is that not collective punishment? They have no released their intentions.. If civilian destruction was unintentional, why not say so? Chapter III: Civilian Objects Article 52: General Protection of Civilian Objects 1. Civilian objects shall not be the object of attack or of reprisals. Civilian objects are all objects which are not military objectives as defined in paragraph 2. 2. Attacks shall be limited strictly to military objectives. -
I cannot find this apology.. unless you mean blaming the Hamas for all of the civilian destruction?
