Are women's abortions posted in the daily news each and every time it happens? I don't think they keep such statistics. It's an approved method in Canada so to say it doesn't happen is absurd. You asked to prove that it exists. I've dome that now you want me to prove it happens in Canada? Do your own research and stop moving the goal posts. Shoe me where it says that it is illegal i n Canada to have an abortion on a woman's due date. I say it's legal you say it doesn't happen. I don't care how often it's happening. I am concerned that it is legal to perform one at the due date.

SourceThere you go. I gave you two examples of abortion involving dismemberment.
-
It's perfectly legal to have an abortion on the mothers due date. They reach up kill the baby and pull it out in pieces, the same way they do every other abortion. pro choicers don't think a baby is a living being until it takes a breath.
-
Show me where it states that it is illegal.
-
Why cant they? It's perfectly legal in Canada to abort even on your due date.

Tons of people are on OW and ODSP who are not really in need. Many are faking a medical condition or are too lazy to work and enjoy the lifestyle given to them by the government. Some people use OW as a temporary measure so they can get a job or get retrained and start working or are working on the medical conditions etc. This is its intended use. However many people are able bodied and have been on OW/ODSP for years in essence stealing benefits from someone who may really be in need of such services.

People can abort a baby on the due date or after legally in Canada. Choice is awesome.

We have some not too far from us when heading towards Arthur,Ontario. I think they are in Wellington County. Everyone around there is complaining and saying that they cause cancer and that they shouldn't be forced to have them on their property. Lots of sign up in that area about it. When we went for lunch in a local diner they told us about it.

Excellent news Greg. Even though this site isn't being maintained any longer it's nice to see some maintenance going on...hehehe. Good luck!

This is called responsible government, something the left knows nothing about. The Tories are doing exactly as they are supposed to do by reviewing all departments to see if services are being utilized for the money being spent. We need to get the best bang for our tax dollar. If one religious Chaplin can deliver the services to other faiths then that is called being smart and showing respect for the taxpayer dollar. Funny how the left on this board are almost entirely atheist but seem to care about religions other than Christianity, maybe they only dislike Christianity.

Teddy, I appreciate that you're not wanting to stay on ODSP forever but for every one of you I see another 10 who do want to live on ODSP for the duration of their lives. Maybe I just don't understand depression but I don't see how being a little bit sad is grounds for freeloading off the public. Good for you I guess that you've seemingly pulled the wool over everyones eyes and fooled them. You truly are a master of working the system and are no doubt a good candidate for employment by OCAP. I'm sure they'd be interested in your manipulative social engineering skills. If everyone that was sad sometimes got a government living wage I don't think that we'd have anyone left in the workforce. I don't know why you label me as being on the right as being a bad thing. Yes, I'm on the right but that doesn't mean I'm not compassionate and would want to do away with valuable social services that provide important support to those people in need. Quite the opposite actually. I just like to make sure that someone is watching the money and not just spending blindly and when money is short raising taxes. So it's prudent to always take inventory and audit which programs are performing well and which aren't. We need to get the best bang for our buck and refocus funds on those good programs when need be. Having frank discussions about how and where our tax dollars are being spent isn't akin to an attack. In light of this I will take it upon myself to read about depression and see for myself if it is as debilitating as people seem to think. I still have a hard time wrapping my head around being sad is a disability but if the Charter says it is maybe there's something to it. I'm not trying to belittle or demean you teddy even though it probably looks that way and I'm glad you post on this forum.

Damn I knew one of these drippy feeling sponge heads would get all touchy feely on us...lol.

I always think about food banks around the holidays. We always give to the poor as much as we can through food banks. We give quite regularly when we've collected p enough to turn it in. We find it important to remember that it wasn't that long ago that I myself was living on the streets of Toronto and Calgary and needed social services and food banks in order to survive. I was reading an article from last year that got me thinking. It was about closing all food banks. At first I was outraged and knew that they did do an important job in our community to single people, families and others who cannot make ends meet. Things are tough out there and I would never want a child to go hungry, ever. Then this article was stating that other countries do not have food banks and instead the state provides a livable wage so people can buy the foods they need to survive. I wonder what the cost is to the taxpayer either way. Status quo vs government giving more funds to the poor. This point is interesting as well. In stating that food banks will never end hunger and instead perpetuate a cycle of poverty. I do agree that food banks can never end hunger but I don't see how the government giving people more money is going to end hunger either.I also don't see how giving more money will motivate people to get off assistance which is meant to be a stop gap measure and not a lifestyle choice. Of course the most in need that ave disabilities should always be protected and not removed from help if they truly need it. Source for quotes.I think food banks are a great idea and a concrete way of corporations to give large amounts of money and food directly to those who will be needing the assistance. They seem to be an example of successful private/public sponsorship. I don't see how cutting off the hand that feeds and depending on the government for everything will be better.

The pro Arab side isn't concerned with anything except that they be anti Israel. As long as this condition is met they will side with anyone which is why so many socialists are pro Iran and pro Muslim Brotherhood, pro Hezzbollah and the list goes on. The hatred they have for Americans, Jews and Israel is so vile and strong that it blinds them from anything resembling reason.
-
Yes, I agree with you. I don't wish anyone harm self inflicted or otherwise. I do have a problem with people who are sad getting a free ride. As I said I fully support social services for people who truly need them. if someone has a good reason for not being able to work I do think it's our responsibility to try to give that person some dignity if they are able to live independently. That being said their are certainly people that aren't in need to be on OW or ODSP for the rest of their and aren't actively seeking to get off of it. Some OCAP people come to mind immediately. If they are throwing things, attacking brave police officers and horses and carrying banners I'm not sure if they are disabled. Community start up is ending in January so that will save taxpayers a ton of money. $799 a person every 2 years. I'm on the fence about this one though as I do think that at times the start up does help people who are truly in need. Thing is that so many people have abused it and made it bad for everyone. It's too bad that the rules are made for the few bad apples but everyone suffers.

I pretty much don't know why people bothering bringing up abortion anymore. The law will never change, it's hopeless. If people want to kill their babies, that's their business. They won't be bale to kill them legally once they're born. if people want to kill their babies because they don't like the sex. Who cares? It's legal for them to do so, let them kill all the babies they want. Want to kill the baby you're carrying and you're nine months pregnant? No problem come to Canada, that's our motto. No longer want your baby and it's due tomorrow? No problem it's legal to kill it in the womb in Canada with no time limits. You wanted a boy and it's a girl but you found out when the baby growing inside you was eight months old? That's no problem any clinic or hospital will abort that baby for you. No coat hangers needed...it's completely legal! Want to speak out against or criticize Islam in Canada? Oh no you can't do that, that's racist. Welcome to Canada.
-
So giving you $1000 + a month is keeping you from killing yourself? if you're that close to the edge, you don't need money you need to be locked up to protect yourself and others.
-
I fully support ODSP for people that are really in need and have a legitimate disability. Some people don't even seem disabled yet they are receiving ODSP. I expect people on ODSP to have had a serious and ongoing injury preventing them working. People on ODSP for depression? Give me a break.

Romney did very well. Obama was mostly on the defensive while he did hit Romney with some body blows no KO's by either side. Romney did better on the economy and Obama might have done slightly better on health care. Romney's health care plan was more confusing but he did make good points against Obama-care. It was almost as if Obama was shell shocked. Like he was caught off guard by how well Romney can debate and never fully recovered. Romney was staring him down while Obama was trying to talk directly to Americans but at times Obama looked like he was being scolded by keeping his head down and refusing to look at Romney much of the time. Obama needs to kick it into gear if he wants to do better in the next debate.

Khadr should make us ashamed to be Canadian
Mr.Canada replied to Leafless's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
I think that we can all agree that Khadr got off easy for murder and war crimes charges. Who else can get 8 years for murder in club fed? A man who won't say anything bad about Al-Queda or torrorists in general. That's who. -
Romney surrounded by JEWS
Mr.Canada replied to doitwell's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
When people think of Jews and Jewish caricatures they are most often refering to Ashkenazi Jews or European jews. Lots of different types of Jews out there though as has been mentioned. Spanish Jews, Middle eastern Jews, Indian Jews, African Jews and the list goes on and on and on. -
Tough call. They are both hurting their respective parties. I think that they both need to be told to stfu or gtfo in exactly those words.

I used to be really bad when I first joined here but even I have calmed d own a lot. I used to be waaayy out in right field. Plus I was mean, spiteful and bordered on racist at times. Even though I am not I certainly appeared that way. Anyways I have learned my lesson and if I can I think that anyone can change. I miss some members that used to post here but seemingly no longer do. I mostly miss the ones who would argue with me a lot. A good argument is healthy for everyone. There is no place for racism or anti-semitism here on MLW imo.

You're misinformed on Texas. The death penalty is only considered for murder cases. Anyone under the age of 18 at the time of the offense cannot be executed. If both prosecution and defense agree that the defendant is mentally retarded then the defendant cannot be executed. If the prosecuter isn't seeking the death penalty then the defendant cannot be sentenced to death.
