  1. Apparently he was born and went to school in Toronto. A technicality for some, yes. But given the rising number of people who are non-white, non-Anglo Saxon descent in Canada, the question must soon be, what about you is Canadian...
  2. Yeah and besides, lots of white peole gets coverted to islam, so
  3. "73% of New Canadians fear for their children lives around water" So now water is a terrorist
  4. Oh the banality. None of the above issues are specific to the question of the mosque placed on ground zero, so I can only assume the people posting them oppose all mosques, everywhere and all muslims in general.
  5. No more than your average Christian liked Waco.
  6. If anyone was serious about fighting islamic terrorism, it was George Bush. And I think he had his head screwed on right when he said, we've got to seperate the extremists from the mainstream, moderate muslims that live peacefully in our countries. Here he showed that he had an understanding of the real nature of the problem. Fact is, I don't think the US administration wants to see their country descend into a fourth reich, with muslims replacing the jews. But there are some real crazy types out there who don't care and would like to see that happen. And some of them are prominent republicans. Those are the ones who are hiding the truth from the masses now, while making inflammatory speeches against the administration. Probably for the sake of smearing them, to get more votes. So the muslim issue is used a leverage for the election... if one party is seen as supportive, the other party must make them appear as weaklings and appeasers. Even when that support is a continuation of the policy of the former government/ party. It stinketh, I tell you.
  7. So does this mean that you believe the mosque is being built by its developers, as a symbol of the conquest of America? I am only asking.
  8. Yeah I'm sure you would lke to see everyone forced to take the cure. Some kinda pharmaco-nazi, or something? You got shares in the company? - I did not say it was untested. I said it was not tested as thouroghly as it should be, as done with other vaccines. And there were plenty of medical professionals who raised that concern, at the time. We had this conversation during the pandemic, you and I. Remember? Part of the debate was on how dangerous this really was, based on statistical evidence available at the time from the Southern hemisphere. During the winter in South America and Australia, the level of flu outbreak was very mild. Yes, I remember the conversation, segnosaur. You wlikeere convincethoroughlyd it was deadly and everyone should get the shot. And I remember telling you, we would re-visit it in 6 months, to see who was right. Well, here we are.
  9. Seems to me from various news sources, they kill far more civilians than enemy insurgents. And some of the toll of enemies include anonymous persons who are counted as insurgents, by association, might not even be. THis is only a small percentage of the civilians killed, but typical in a war. Dead men tell no tales.
  10. We know. The discussion was whether that is considered tolerant or respectful. Don't worry, no one wants to take away your right to misbehave.
  11. I admit I do not understand the nature of the charges either. Evidently he is charged with hurling a grenade and killing a US soldier. The soldier was a medic, yes but still a soldier. This was in the middle of a battle between US troops and Taliban insurgents, so it's entirely likely that had they seen Khadr first they would have shot to try and kill him. Can't imagine that during such a battle one pauses to ask for ID. So if he killed a soldier, how is it terrorism? Is it because he is not an official soldier complete with uniform? Well, in that case they (taliban) all are not soldiers. Yeah segnosaur they don't mean to kill civilians but they will shoot to kill anyone, when in doubt and ask questions/ apologize later. Intent to kill is still there, otherwise far more precautions could be taken if they were truly serious about not killing civilians. Like, not having this war in the first place...
  12. Yeah, they should be. But somebody was saying, Oh, the hospitals were full! It was a bad time." And it was. But I know that a large percentage of people showing up at the hospital didn't have the H1N1. But they were scared. Or they were scared for thei kids, whatever. Next time, try not to hype it up so mauch that people panic. Oh yeah, the idea that they hadn't developed the vaccine yet, but quickly produced it and put it out there, does not comfort me. You know how lethal it could be, improperly tested? I wouldn't put that crap in my arm. In the end they threw away a million doses. But still, ching ching, bling bling
  13. What an interesting point of view. There is no "thumbs up" emoticon
  14. Really. I read the whole thread, but had no idea it was about Americans.
  15. The silence in regard to these Saudi related posts, speaks volumes.
  16. Why is it surprising or somehow vindicating that muslims would not want a gay bar right next to their mosque. Or rather, that they don't consider it constructive to a dialog? Because they know why it's being proposed, as a foil to their plans. Not too many churches would like the gay bar either. Certainly not the RC church. So much for that argument.
  17. Easy, they hyped it up so much that people were running to the hospital at the first hint of feeling ill. Some people were scared. There was panic in some areas, if you recall. Mobs became unruly. For those of you with conveniently short memories. People were clogging up the emergency wards when they just had a cold. That made it tougher to deal with the ones who actually had the flu.
  18. Experienced doctors know that already. The hype was fueled by government bureaucrats and big pharma companies. It was pretty clear if you looked at the statistics, common flu was more deadly on a large scale than this virus, or other recent scary sounding virus that they went bananas over, and turned out to be nothing. ("SARS") Sure, it's better to be safe than sorry. I won't disagree. There was a lot of concern that the vaccine was not given the same amount of testing that previous vaccines are routinely given. Keep playing Russian roulette with the population, on a grand scale. It's only a matter of time before something WILL go wrong.
  19. Now you want to make it look like I don't already know that, in your typical style. Of course I get it. Some people here didn't want to believe it. In the foreground it's all about the deal, but meanwhile there's stuff going on in the background. Yeah yeah, Canada is not above making similar deals with the devil, for the mutually beneficial relationship.
  20. Threat of what. They moved the troops around to wherever they need them. And if they need to move them back, they will do that. As in, any nice place to fire Patriot missiles against scuds, or whatever is needed. And don't give me your sanctimonious crap, Georgie kissed the Prince and they were holding hands. I seen it. You must mean, yourself.
  21. It IS true, and I knew that already when I raised the question. It has been true for a long time, before september 11, and after. But in the aftermath of the terrorist attack the US government did not even seriously raise the question of Saudi Arabia. Or if they did, they only did so in provate, and allowed the economic relationship to continue. Behold the whoredom of capitalism at work. <BC Qualifier>Yeah Canadas a whore as well</>
