Harper to prorogue parliament AGAIN?
Alta4ever replied to DrGreenthumb's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
IF you seem to think all articals from the right can be dismissed why do not those from Jane taber, the left get the same treatment, oh yes I have even gone one step furtherer then you my friend I have actually read the artical, something you refused to do on the artical from the right wing columist in the other thread. While throwing out your claims of hyper partisanship, you are showing that trait in yourself. -
Need help with my an essay on political parties

Your right however you forget to point out that those despots ride a socialist wave or a communist wave into power. I can't remember who it was maybe Stain or Lenin, but one of them commented on the useful idiots who bring them power. -
Pure Fantasy. Human nature flies in the face of this.

Don't forget that fascism was spawned out of the progressive movement in the US. Mussolini was looking to do much of what woodrow wilson did with his war time socialism policies. -
What broad policies are being offered, I have yet to see anything describe as broad from the NDP and bloc, and absolutely no policies from liberals. So tell me where you think think these broad all encompassing polcies are coming from? I have not seen one party in the house offer these broad middle of the road policies. Besides what is the middle of the spectrum? There is no good definition of middle of the road. What would the centre be between mulrooney and Ignatieff, apposed to Trudeau and Turner? You are confusing the idea of "political centre" with populist policy.

BS society hasn`t allowed you the opportunity to succeed or exercise any fundamental rights. At some point in history someone fought for those rights and that opportunity and a veteran defended them. Societies always end up collapsing on themselves, like the roman empire which fell under the weight of social policies as the state ended up taking too much of the economic wealth to squander it. History repeats itself, anyone who comprehends history can see it. An over abundance of social policies will do the same to us.

Harper to prorogue parliament AGAIN?
Alta4ever replied to DrGreenthumb's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Left wingers like most of the posters in this thread spreading false information with the doomsday prophecies, and talk of quote infringement on democratic rights(this is the one that got my attention). -
This one like all others, was carried out for political reasons Bingo...... We have a winner.

Harper to prorogue parliament AGAIN?
Alta4ever replied to DrGreenthumb's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Their wasn`t precedent for what happened in 2008 but likely the decision that was made held the country together. Nothing partisan about correcting the information being flung by the left on what prorogation is and how it effects our democratic rights. -
The governing party held majorities then, and didn`t require every member in the house to vote for government legislation did it.
-
I imagine much of the government leadership will be at it promoting canada to the world.

Alta4ever replied to Jerry J. Fortin's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
they will have to atone for their actions in the next election, that is good enough. -

So in the opinion of the government or PMSH I bet to them it was good reason as I've said before its perspective, to you or nick, waldo, topaz, eyeball, that don't like the reasons put forth, but then again all of you spit venom at harper all the time, so in your perspective no reason given will be a good reason.

No its more like Proroguing was alright when the liberals did but not when a conservative does, perspective man perspective.

We are not a welfare state unlike oh 7 out of ten of the provinces
-
Neither does your skewed climate research. But then again Blueblood did highlight your credibility on the subject a few threads ago. Hydraboss an idea why don`t we put an export tax on energy, and resources and gas exported to other province to claw back the equalization money.
-
obviously Albertans have different values since they aren`t sitting on their butts collecting welfare from the rest of the country. It seems to be a unique and distinct society here in Alberta.

that fringe is in 40% range when the last a poll was conducted on the issue.

Total federal transfers The Canadian federal government budgeted in 2009-10 nearly $60 billion to transfer to the provinces and territories through major transfers (Canada Health Transfer, Canada Social Transfer, Equalization and Territorial Formula Financing), direct targeted support and trust funds – an increase of $6.7 billion from the previous year.[1] In 2009-10, the Canada Health Transfer (CHT), at $22.6 billion in 2008–09, will continue to grow by 6-per-cent a year, providing an increase of $1.4 billion for a total of $24 billion in 2009–10. The Canada Social Transfer (CST), at $10.6 billion in 2008–09, will grow by 3-per-cent a year for a total of $10.9 billion in 2009–10. Equalization will be $14.2 billion in 2009–10. Territorial Formula Financing (TFF) will be $2.5 billion in 2009–10, an increase of $185 million over 2008–09. In 2008-09, provinces and territories received about $49.1 billion in major transfers – an increase of $7.7 billion since 2005-06. These transfers were estimated to account for about 17 % of provincial and territorial revenues in 2008-09. [2] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_transfer_payments
