Minority PMs don't deserve Sussex Drive!
Alta4ever replied to whowhere's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And these are the people who believe in AGW. Makes you wonder just a little doesn't it? -

The reward is the ability to govern with a majority government no leader prefers a minority. -
2 PC MLA's defect to Wildrose Alliance
Alta4ever replied to Jerry J. Fortin's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Why in hell you do bother to post here you know nothing of Alberta politics. This is not Rural/urban split, considering the first riding won under the Wildrose banner was an urban riding held by the tories since 71. Stick to the other topics you seem to know nothing about like AGW. -

2 PC MLA's defect to Wildrose Alliance

Wild Bill has got it right, I along with most everyone I know feels the same, I didn't leave the Pc's the Pc's left me. The leadership vote was on a preferential ballot means ed wasn't everyones first choice he only won after the second choice on Morton's ballots put Ed in front of Dinning. He is Alberta Stephan Dion, everyones second choice. -
Harper to prorogue parliament AGAIN?
Alta4ever replied to DrGreenthumb's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Just because you choose to not take benefit from these does mean that they haven't benefited Canadians. If you had any brains you would understand just how valuable the TFSA is, if you understand compound interest, plan for retirement and have the foresight to see just how much of your savings is eaten away in tax when you pull it out of a RRSP you just might understand. As for the C-17's what is missing is a maintenance hanger, which I believe is under construction. Even the Hercules sit out in the weather. But Again you can't see past your Harper hating agenda, you just spew bile. -

Lets also not forget to mention the purchase of the C-17s, that the other side of the commons was so against. Turned out to be a good investment, since our DART team wasn't stranded in Canada waiting on the government begging other countries to borrow heavy lift transport to get our dart team in. (like what happened after the tsunami hit the south pacific.) -

Your right you are clueless. Here is just one thing, but they have signed 9 free trade agreements since taking office. It like NAFTA has will improve trade reduce barriers and benefit our economy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Harper The accountability Act Agent Orange Compensation Package GIS allowing hirer earnings Armed Boarder Guards Community Development Trust Income Splitting for Seniors THE TFSA The lobbying Act The Child Sports credit Had the Manley report Approved by The HOC The Softwood lumber agreement No more Taxation on student scholarships A bill of rights for Taxpayers Among many others that have bettered Canadians. -
Harper to prorogue parliament AGAIN?

This coming blindly from a Harper hating venom spitting partisan liberal. Harper could solve all that ills the world and you would still hate him. -
Its been long enough to see a drop in the conservative numbers, but that 9 point drop didn't translate into the same gain for the opposition parties.
-
You really don't think this is the oppositions game to win, that is the whole point of opposition offer something different that you think the electorate wants in hopes of gaining the government in the next election. Harper has stumbled, the opposition should be capitalizing on it, they aren't. So that says to me there is a going number of disaffected voters that don't want what any of the parties are offering.
-
I never said it wasn't disastrous drop did I? What it does show is that the none of the above option is growing, since the other parties aren't moving their support forward at the conservative parties expense. It shows that the other parties aren't offering something that the growing segment of apathetic voters want either.
-
It shows us that everyone is still sitting around base level support.
-
I doubt it is just Harper that has brought us to increased voter apathy, its more likely that all the parties are beginning to be viewed the same by the electorate, all offering nothing that the apathetic segment wants.
-
The question is were is that support going, the other parties have not benefited from the CPC slide, so has all of this just increased voter apathy?
-
What advantage is it that you speak of?
-
Chreiten's last delayed the Auditors report. Trudeau it in 1972 50 seconds into the oppositions day in the house just as the opposition was rising to give its report. That said, Harper could be changing his legislative agenda now that the conservatives have the majority in the senate. but this is pure speculation, like anything else we post on this board, and this session did last almost twice as long as any other session at over 300 days. If I recall Charles suspended the parliament indefinitely only to bring them back when he needed to push something through then sent them packing. The Constitution does have a limitation in it that prevents this from occurring.
