I'll wait for the reader's digest version thanks. Like when broadcasters switch to breaking news of Trump flapping his gums. He's practically a cure for procrastination.

Why does Japan have six times more MRIs than Canada?
eyeball replied to I am Groot's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
We should turn Cuba into a medical paradise. Line a bunch of sunny beaches with hospitals and send everyone there for treatment and recovery. A buddy of mine was commenting the other day he had just about every other tooth in his head worked on in Thailand for what it costs to get a root canal done here in BC. And we have some 13000 doctors in Canada dying to be doctors who're flipping burgers and driving Uber Eats instead. It's fùcking pathetic. -

I think one thing that's indelibly imprinted on Canadians concerns is that having more money will facilitate queue jumping. As for more doctors let's not forget Cuba has some 9.5 doctors per 1000 people and Canada has 2.5. We shouldn't be overlooking this if we're truly committed to looking at healthcare systems around the world. I mean, health outcomes in Cuba, at least up until very recently with the world trying to squash them into complete submission, have been amongst the highest for a reason. And I doubt it's just low wages at $120 a month per doctor. -
America is forever being led around by the nose in the ME. How else do they get to the End of Days without Israel? In any case Britain did a lot more to help create the Nakba and was especially effective at miring America in the ME in 1953. And of course who can ever forget Colin Powell's comic books?🤣 How Britain has evaded so much of its responsibility for the original mess speaks to how outclassed and pathetic the US is when it comes to big power geopolitics. It's why America has been such a sitting duck for Putin ever since he mesmerized Bush Jr. At least as important as letting a bunch of other Russians carry on with causing a disaster in Europe.

No doubt they'll kick up a fuss and forget how well the gamble paid off in terms of putting the pandemic behind us. If we'd waited for a conventional fully tested vaccine we'd still be waiting and the death and illness rates would likely resemble those of the Spanish Flu. Hopefully next time they'll come up with a vaccine they can just add to the water or use chemtrails to disperse it.

In either case I think both levels of our governments are far enough away from the ground where people need healthcare that accountability to those people is easy to avoid. Germany, often touted as having a better system than ours, is far more decentralized than ours. Close enough to the ground that people matter and are better positioned to influence policymaking. Germany: Highly decentralized via approximately 1,000 autonomous statutory sickness funds. These funds are regional or employment-based and operate independently of the federal government for daily management and funding. Canada: Operates a single-payer system where provincial and territorial governments act as the sole insurers within their respective regions. There is no choice between different public insurers. It occurs to me that Japan simply being an island and a much geographically smaller place would similarly make it more difficult for administrators to distance themselves from the public they serve. -
A lot of these boomers are also struggling to hang onto those homes so they'll have something to pass on to their kids. That said it wasn't long ago I recall boomers being told to scrape off their entitled offspring so they'd learn something about the value of a hard day's work.

About the same as always for COVID but I can't help but notice how much disbelief and mistrust in general attends so many more controversies than before. It's just not healthy.
-
It seems to me he's probably read enough to come up with a snappy wisecrack. But seriously, and because I have family members who think like you I have asked my team what they think of all the controversy and they all just shake their heads at how sad it is there's so much hooey out there.

Trump aiding and abetting the enemy?

What people everywhere do when they've had enough. And if Russians are determined to be a bunch of mindless donkeys and follow Putin the way MAGA follows Trump then fùck them too. -

Squarely in the path of his own people. And then we help them. -
Trump aiding and abetting the enemy?

Why now if it's been high time for so long? Its just another typical example of the political capriciousness that's characterized American interference and vandalism in the region. -

Nope. And you're the chicken-heart who's always worried about Ukraine going nuclear should the West grow a spine and put Putin back in his place. What's surreal is that after decades of containment and a better dead than red stance towards Russia America has emerged as such a cowardly mouthpiece for its expansion. What point is there to the west spending trillions to defend itself against this if the US is just going to cave? We've got trillions of dollars worth of weapons already. Use them first before demanding more that will likely never get used. -
Canada's State Broadcaster had a Ban on Conservatives
eyeball replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Okay, but what do you believe given your thread title that says the CBC banned the CPC and your corroborating article that says the CPC banned itself? It's easier to believe you're a raving lunatic. -

Well, it's pretty obvious why it might be hard to hold an election at the moment don't you think? Like I said there's no need to know more than the fact Putin represents just about the bleakest blackest sort of future humanity could be faced with and Trump is not just telling Zelensky to accept it, he's trying to catch up with Putin ffs. I cannot recall ever reading a single dystopian, surreal fiction that even comes close to capturing how bent out of shape things are in today's world. I sure hope I live long enough to see how it turns out. -
I came across a drone off the west coast of Vancouver Island last year. I wondered, what the heck is that, and pulled over for a closer look. It was about 3/4 the size of a stand up paddleboard. It had solar panels and a couple of antennas and radar reflector sticking out of some sort of brain box fibre-glassed into place that probably also contained the drive and electronics. It even had red and green running lights. It was being remotely operated from Victoria University. It had a camera that turned to look at us as we stopped and it bobbed up and down when we waved at it. It couldn't have been cuter if a sea otter was riding it.

What about people like me who've been jabbed as many times as it's possible? I've lost count but I should have dropped dead 4-5 jabs ago by now according to you. I've also had at least as many CT scans and echocardiograms of my heart since COVID and aside from bicuspid aortic stenosis everything else looks good. That said after last week's scan it looks like there's a couple of lines on a statistical chart moving inexorably towards an intersection that says open heart surgery...the end of next summer by the looks of it. My cardiologist looked at me like I was a crackpot and said 'not another one' when I asked him about myocarditis from vaccine. I told him I was just asking for a friend.

Zelensky doesn't assassinate his political opposition. They chose to live under a murderer's thumb. There's something wrong with them. -
l No you didn't, you posted hooey. It's impossible for COVID vaccine to shed because it's not alive. I'm rejecting hooey not science.

Trump aiding and abetting the enemy?
eyeball replied to Barquentine's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
AFAIC there's something wrong with anyone who would move to a dictatorship where the government assassinates their opposition. That's all I need to know. -
Nice try but you were more afraid of bits and pieces of vaccine shedding off vaccinated people. You don't fear the virus itself, you've made it patently clear it's just a nothingburger.
-
No, more like when you started worrying about getting cooties from vaccinated people. Is that why you moved to the most vaccine hesitant region in Canada?

You fear resisting a bully to the point you're willing to cave to him. This will only serve your family poorly. -
Apparently not.

Why not go a step further and hire the best to manage and operate our healthcare system for us? We clearly suck at it, we've proven that with 13 seperate jurisdictions that can't get it right. Maybe Cubans...they had healthcare outcomes that were amongst the best in the West before the West squashed them. They'd probably work for less than Europeans.
