  1. Well, it's pretty obvious why it might be hard to hold an election at the moment don't you think? Like I said there's no need to know more than the fact Putin represents just about the bleakest blackest sort of future humanity could be faced with and Trump is not just telling Zelensky to accept it, he's trying to catch up with Putin ffs. I cannot recall ever reading a single dystopian, surreal fiction that even comes close to capturing how bent out of shape things are in today's world. I sure hope I live long enough to see how it turns out.
  2. I came across a drone off the west coast of Vancouver Island last year. I wondered, what the heck is that, and pulled over for a closer look. It was about 3/4 the size of a stand up paddleboard. It had solar panels and a couple of antennas and radar reflector sticking out of some sort of brain box fibre-glassed into place that probably also contained the drive and electronics. It even had red and green running lights. It was being remotely operated from Victoria University. It had a camera that turned to look at us as we stopped and it bobbed up and down when we waved at it. It couldn't have been cuter if a sea otter was riding it.
  3. What about people like me who've been jabbed as many times as it's possible? I've lost count but I should have dropped dead 4-5 jabs ago by now according to you. I've also had at least as many CT scans and echocardiograms of my heart since COVID and aside from bicuspid aortic stenosis everything else looks good. That said after last week's scan it looks like there's a couple of lines on a statistical chart moving inexorably towards an intersection that says open heart surgery...the end of next summer by the looks of it. My cardiologist looked at me like I was a crackpot and said 'not another one' when I asked him about myocarditis from vaccine. I told him I was just asking for a friend.
  4. Zelensky doesn't assassinate his political opposition. They chose to live under a murderer's thumb. There's something wrong with them.
  5. l No you didn't, you posted hooey. It's impossible for COVID vaccine to shed because it's not alive. I'm rejecting hooey not science.
  6. AFAIC there's something wrong with anyone who would move to a dictatorship where the government assassinates their opposition. That's all I need to know.
  7. Nice try but you were more afraid of bits and pieces of vaccine shedding off vaccinated people. You don't fear the virus itself, you've made it patently clear it's just a nothingburger.
  8. No, more like when you started worrying about getting cooties from vaccinated people. Is that why you moved to the most vaccine hesitant region in Canada?
  9. You fear resisting a bully to the point you're willing to cave to him. This will only serve your family poorly.
  10. Why not go a step further and hire the best to manage and operate our healthcare system for us? We clearly suck at it, we've proven that with 13 seperate jurisdictions that can't get it right. Maybe Cubans...they had healthcare outcomes that were amongst the best in the West before the West squashed them. They'd probably work for less than Europeans.
  11. Nope, the same we you mean when you refer to everyone here. What's really at issue is the lack of power you people put into countering the hooey you believe about the media. Like I said you're similar to people in the Dark Ages whose world was filled with malevolent imaginary forces out to get them and they couldn't think straight as a result.
  12. What we're doing wrong is refusing to swallow our pride and admit we suck at governing our selves efficiently compared to our peers. Everything usually starts at the top but I also have serious doubts about the willingness of Canadians to be governed without putting up a big fuss. It could well be it's us that sucks too.
  13. You're the one forever going on an on about the power of the media. You've been doing so for years around here. It's at the heart of virtually every single thing you post about.
  14. Things look like they could be even better if we started shrinking our population.
  15. Then stop spamming it with superstitious crap more fitting in a forum from the Dark Ages.
  16. You even named Bill Gates as one of them last time I asked who they wrre. Even getting up a little earlier in the day won't protect you from the lack of a search function around here. We all know where you're coming from.
  17. I thought you said it's just a psyop dude or two somewhere orchestrating everything for shits and giggles.
  18. I'm sure I'm lacking a few, no one's perfect. Speaking of which is your willingness to kiss a dictator's ass your best feature?
  19. Maybe they're just better at healthcare than we are. Is there any reason to disbelieve we'd be better at it too if we adopted their system? In the meantime it's their ability to maintain a better health system with a significantly older population that's shrinking at an accelerating rate that we should really study and try to emulate. It seems to defy everything we're led to believe about growth.
  20. Yeah, I wish I had Putin's ability to strategize. He's apparently amassed anywhere from $40-200 billion on a $140000 annual salary. Ordinary Russians seem happy enough, they must reckon no poor man ever gave them a job. I see we realized 13 new billionaires ourselves last year. I'm sorry, what were we complaining about again?
  21. These days it happens because so many huff conspiracy fumes while trying to figure it out.
  22. There was pressure on Zelensky to cave.
  23. You're suggesting there's some redeeming quality to Russia I'm not aware of here?
  24. It's a love hate relationship really, I burn anywhere from 200 - 300 litres of fuel a day at work so.... But yeah you could drop an asteroid on the whole Gulf Region. Drop one on the Washington while you're at it. No, risperidone...it comes in a monthly shot too.
