It takes roughly 50 - 60 gallons of gas or diesel an hour to run our boats at full power these days. We've had to add a fuel-surcharge. There still seems to be enough people willing to cough up the extra cost it takes to be a dedicated tourist around here. Fingers crossed. Tourism is kind of funny that way. A lot of people seem bound and determined to enjoy a little pleasure no matter how bad things get. Apparently movie houses did well during the depression. Mind you popcorn and a pop probably didn't set you back $25 like it does now.
