  1. No thanks, fish are to far gone when you catch them that late. Bear gall bladders OTOH can be worth some $1500 or more on the black market. Sure kid.
  2. Yeah, they hand those Nobel prizes out to any old fool that comes along don't they? BTW has any denier ever been awarded a Nobel Prize yet? You could be the first if you had even a smidge of courage to go along with your conviction.
  3. I bet they simply caved to a well-heeled whiny lobbyist. In the meantime... The "Economists' Statement": In one of the largest displays of professional agreement, over 3,600 economists—including 28 Nobel Prize winners—signed a letter endorsing carbon taxes as the most effective "lever" for emission reduction at scale.
  4. Nope, when they say that I expect the government to give them a rebate and to charge more to people who can afford it. You on the other hand immediately start whining about how unfair this is to the 1%. You're merely projecting.
  5. Yeah it's called paying the bills. The difference is I can acknowledge the need to tack on an extra charge to help mitigate the damage paying the bills causes. The minute you people are presented with a bill you switch gears and say it's all a hoax or it's not you ..it's that hypocrite over there causing all the problems. No, and it would be a lot less friendly if everyone flew their own plane.
  6. Probably not, I'm actually smoking some wild salmon as we speak. With old growth alder. The CO2 is just billowing out of the smoker as we speak.
  7. Yup, I've stood up for it ever since Conservatives introduced it, back when you and Justin were busy dressing up your GI Joe action figures with your sister's Barby clothes. So you do disagree with his position that the carbon tax he cut was useless? Takes a liar to know one I guess.
  8. I should have said arguing I guess along with organizing, resisting and acting against. You're the one on the run wheel, not me. You actually don't get that? The left and right clearly have their issues but your right, the real struggle is on the other axis between governed and governments. The left right thing is way way more of a distraction from that. Again, that's you I'm ridiculing.
  9. And trees...don't forget I've killed quite a few of those too. Not as many as Nefarious Banana but then how many trees has he planted? Probably, and I'm also a burden on you because I advocate more of one being placed on you. But seriously, mass transportation is better than the alternative. It would have taken thousands of more boats for people to do the same thing as it takes one boat to do. How many gallons of fuel do bus drivers or pilots burn?
  10. Yup. Another good reason not to vote for them. If you recall I was the first poster in this forum to point out Carney's first official lie, that consumer carbon taxes are an ineffective means to mitigate climate change. You've been tooting his horn ever since.
  11. We also try to be the solution. We regularly upgrade to the newest most emission free fuel efficient engines. In addition to occasional fuel surcharges the company has also collected over a million dollars in environmental fees from guests that is donated to local charities.
  12. Nope, I simply don't attack them the way you like to see them being attacked. If you'll notice, I usually always point at the system they're as deft at manipulating as Conservatives are daft at preventing. After a awhile you have to ask yourself if there's a ulterior reason for ignoring that. The way Poilievre just completely undermined his own case about how useless lobbying is while happily entertaining lobbyists should be a big red flag but you people are oblivious.
  13. Nope, just your lame assed criticism of them plus your attempts to win people over. Try harder. It's easy.
  14. Which is why I mentioned 50 years experience of listening to you people forever whining about the left. The circuit you're on is...
  15. I'm struck by how willing people are to keep ponying up. It's easier to believe the economy is in a lot better shape than people who say it's doomed because of a 0. whatever increase to food inflation due to a carbon tax. In any case Iran will have the world back on track towards alternatives in no time. There's more than one way to skin that cat. All it took to get the ball rolling in earnest was a big fat stupid conservative with a gun aimed at his foot. Good job.
  16. Good thing Canada has lots of secular lefties who know how to stand up to this nonsense. 50 years of putting up with you people whining about lefties taught us a thing or two.
  17. Yes it is. That's precisely why I haven't voted for one in 50 years. As you can see I do agree but alas.... you people aren't really serious about criticizing Liberals at all or you wouldn't be wasting your time accusing random people on the Internet who've told you a thousand times they don't support the Liberals.
  18. If you were serious about trying to win people over to your side you wouldn't be insulting them while doing it. They also reflect the effect you supporters have trying to win people over. Everyone of you is like a drunken Randy White with a head full of yourselves.
  19. You're forgetting I have to burn about 150 - 300 liters of fuel a day at work. I get it, there's always hope we can catch up. I thought that's what edibles were for. 😎
  20. Well sometimes they also have to cut back on the number of trips which doesn't even help him in the end. The guy putting in the electric boat yard hereabouts is probably on the right track.
  21. Sure and look at those food replicators from Star Trek. It just wouldn't work. The future is bound to be more like Oliver Twist's world where there's no free stuff and no shortage of moral panic.
  22. You're suggesting there's some positive way to spIn this? From pointing out how incapable anyone is at holding our governments to account? You sure have a funny way of getting your daily dose of shits and giggles.
  23. It takes roughly 50 - 60 gallons of gas or diesel an hour to run our boats at full power these days. We've had to add a fuel-surcharge. There still seems to be enough people willing to cough up the extra cost it takes to be a dedicated tourist around here. Fingers crossed. Tourism is kind of funny that way. A lot of people seem bound and determined to enjoy a little pleasure no matter how bad things get. Apparently movie houses did well during the depression. Mind you popcorn and a pop probably didn't set you back $25 like it does now.
  24. It definitely sounds like Liberals to me. It doesn't look like Harper had anything to do with it at all.
  25. Yabut they can't hit anything other than their own foot.
