IF the people of Iran are successful in over throwing their so called religious leaders ,they must insure that the new Iran separates Church from State. For there lies their biggest impediment to basic freedoms.

I think things are out of whack when a garbage man working for you and I make as much money as a qualified mechanic or plumber in the private sector. One is just a warm body who does not have a lot of responsibility or thinking required and no education qualifications. Where qualified tradesmen have to have high school and serve an apprenticeship and in the cases of mechanics have to buy their own tools and as of yet can not write them off. Too long has all levels of government been blackmailed into giving these militant unions who have no regard for real working people ,give into their outrageous demands. Unions are like organized crime. They call the shots. If you don`t believe me then try crossing a picket line to enter a public building. They will take away your right of movement and just may do you bodily harm. I know ,I have had that experience. .

Common House Fly Takes Control Of A President.
Muddy replied to Oleg Bach's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Well he lost the screwballs PETA vote. In China flys were so numerous that a decree went out that all citizens had a duty to kill x numbers of flys each because of the diseases that they were attributed too. A billion or so people hunting swatting down flys for patriotism actually did work to control health problems caused by flys. Oh the agnoy of the mass` of the innocent house fly! Good start Mr . President! -
Chairman Pierre sure took away our freedom of speech with his Charter of Wrongs.

Why many Canadian people have inaccurate knowledge of China

Biri only believes what the party tells him. That is quite evident. -
Why many Canadian people have inaccurate knowledge of China

One has to wonder why so many Chinese risk their lives to escape Red China in the holds of rusty ships to come to North America ? Then there is the Falun Gong worshippers! Freedom of religion is not exactly a right in Red China is it? If I want to go to China I get my passport and an airline ticket and I go. I don`t have to get permission from some Party official. I hardly think Chinese tourists prefer leaky rusty boats. Get real Biri , your people are not much more than prisoners of the state. No freedom of thought, movement or religion. -

Yes Bire we do get some wonderful Chinese immigrants here. They are productive people and persue their dreams in freedom. How did this come about? It was because Canadians of yesterday made it possible. You know the ones. Some are buried in Hong Kong fighting the Japanese. And yes they were mostly European descent Canadians. Millions have been killed in peacetime in Mao`s China. That is fact . Yes peace time ,just like in Russia. Communism does nothing for the people. democracy allows freedom to succeed. -

Then we should ignore the indiscretions of America too? We can`t change history but we must acknowlege that it happened. -
Anarchy is alive and well in Canada for minorities and Native people. Unless of course your a WASP . The police think you should know better. I hope who ever replaces Fantino as head Cop of the OPP corrects this shameful time for an otherwise great Cops career. I never thought I would have harsh words for Fantino. The people of Caledonia have been deserted by the law inforcement . Shame on them and all levels of government who have condoned this anarchy.

Good point ,but the facts came out and the USA wore the scars. The difference with the Red Chinese they will not make public how many were killed, not only in the square but in Mao`s purges. For years the left denyed that Stalin was murdering his own people by the millions. The Chinese still have that Stalinistic attitude towards it`s own people. . -
The Farmers and truckers protested in a civilized manner for one day on domestic politics. They did not block off access to our hospitals in an manner as the Tamils did for days on end for a cause that had nothing to do with Canada other than we declared the Tamil Tigers as a terrorist group. I fully endorse the right to protest, but it must be done in a legal manner. If you and I protest for one legged dogs we better not block off University Ave or we will be discriminated against by Toronto`s men in blue very quickly with a few bumps on our head. Would that be racist because we just might be white? Oh the agony of one legged dogs!

I heard a rumour that young men are finding a shortage of would be brides in China now! Now how did that come about? -

China`s run with Mao killed more Chinese than the Japanese could in WW2. China is still a ruthless dictatorship and we should not have any truck with them until they allow real human rights. Remember just a couple of decades ago,Tinanemen Square where students were killed in mass by the Red Army just for protesting. -
Canada can take blame for Rae being thrown out of Sri Lanka. For years the previous government of the Liberals helped the Tamil Tigers raise money . Rae and his party supported a terrorist organization in a third world country. Now they want to pretend to be neutral and investigate what is going on in this terrible place? I don`t think the government of that country wants to take chances of being under the microscope of known supporters of the Tamil Tigers. Would you?

In Toronto, people go hungry all the time
Muddy replied to tango's topic in Local Politics in Canada
So you agree with me then? I guess you just forgot to say you were working on an assumption. I also have seen this with the elite Officer class in the military. They think lower ranks are incapable of original thought and natural intellectual ability. -
Ignatieff Supports Harper's Crime Bill (C15)
Muddy replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Unfortunately most Liberals think this bill address` their casual weed smoking. It does not. What it will address is career criminals using our children in the trade since they are protected by youth laws. Of course these kids grow up and then have to face the consequences. . -

Oleg ,you have made an assumption that I advocate feeding the corporate parasites out tax dollars . I can assure that I am furious at government giving my competition my tax dollars to compete with me . I believe in fair competition and an equal playing field. I look at corporate bums in the same light as people like benny who feel they have an some God given right to live off of us ,the hard working people. -
That is how Big Brother works. If you do not conform we will teach you a financial lesson. We will ruin you. Big Brother (CHRC) has the power over us. How long before we have special pris.. uh facilities to incarcerate individuals until they conform . I never thought that I would see the day that we would have discrimination against free thought. If someone does not like me because of my religion or skin colour so what. I don`t associate with them. Pretty simple.

Then go hungry ,I don`t really care. But don`t ask me to feed you from the fruits of my labour. You see I believe in freedom and you have the right to starve if you wish. Just do it quietly please. -

For those of sound body and mind who refuse to work to sustain themselves is not my problem. Die if you must. But be quiet about it. -
I am with you up to a point. It is this late term and PBA that gets me squeamish. If you saw the film from the ultra sound that I saw of my Grandson you might be quite alarmed and more questioning about if this is a human being or not. I think there has to be some rules. Abortion up to the point of delivery is just not acceptable.
-
Although I am not an advocate of abortion and it is not for any religious reasons as I am not part of the religious right . But as a man I don`t understand women even though I have been married for 35 years. I don`t know any honest man that can say he does. So I hesitate in telling women what to to do. How ever I do think that partial birth abortion or late term should be subject to great scrutiny . I just watched a miracle of science the other day. My daughter who is six months pregnant went to get an ultra sound that was put on disc and we watched my grandson sucking his thumb and moving about and in my uneducated opinion this was a child I was watching. Everything is formed. This gives me great pause in condoning late term and PBA.The murder by the deranged person who killed the abortion doctor can never be in any way be an excuse , celebration or condoned. Somewhere a balance must be met. I would never want some child who was raped or the victim of incest to have,or forced to carry to term. But surely there must be some rules?

Why ,I am not hungry! Neither is my family. Why? We work! Thats the beauty of Canada ,no one who is relatively in good health needs to go hungry. There are lots of jobs if one has the ambition to get off ones fat bum. -
