They might be soon! It's Over As we head into the weekend it is interesting to look at today's gold chart. It seems that a lot of people did not want to head into the weekend without holding gold. Gee, I wonder why! Gold prices today are at the highest they have been in 16 & 1/4 years - check the gold charts to see the trend. And the Canadian dolla is up 1.04% today against the US dolla. And keep your eye on silver US$7.57 today. /859

Pateris.....there are always alternatives. If we spend the money on research into solar power that we spend on non-renewable resources for example. -
Unless we find some way to break the lock the multinationals have on our planet, nothing much will change. Now that they have been allowed to infest our educational institutions by weak-kneed administrators, they are starting to control everything in our lives from the cradle to the grave. You should see Wal-Mart's plans for our future. There will not be another store left standing if we allow this to continue. Has anyone seen "The Take" by Naomi Klein & Avi Lewis?

blackdog........I have seen those horrific figures as well. Unfortunately I don't see anything that will stop the US unless it is there own citizens that are dying in too high a number. And baring some major catastrophe to the US troops I think the US is just in the beginning stages to conquer the planet. I think we should start calling a spade a spade. It is the executives of multinational corporations that are the warmongers, that are making all these decisions to use their killing machines. -
New Mad Cow case in USA possible

Cartman.......excellent post. We are in major denial here about what we eat, and where it come from. Klein is one of the worst perpetrators of this situation, always wanting to take a shorcut and risk people's lives, and then bailing out the big boys when the shit hits the fan. -
Of course it is. They are both inappropriate behaviour, and there are consequences for one's behaviour. One you go to jail for, and one you get killed for. Time to wake up. We are four years into the 21st century, get used to it.

Peter MacKay apologizes to Italians MacKay is quite the actor. This was in relation to some previous situation. -
It should be pretty obvious who is next on the US hit parade - it is going to be Iran. And the reason is not complicated - just take a look at the earth's oil reserves and it is should NOT be hard to figure out: Greatest Oil Reserves by Country, 2003 2002 rank Country 2003 proved reserves (billion barrels) 1. Saudi Arabia 261.7 2. Iraq 115.0 3. Iran 100.1 4. Kuwait 98.9 5. United Arab Emirates 63.0 6. Russia 58.8 7. Venezuela 53.1 8. Nigeria 32.0 9. Libya 30.0 10. China 23.7 So how does the US go about it - well let's see: Powell accuses Iran of trying to develop nuclear missiles Bush Confronts New Challenge on Issue of Iran

Maybe we need to demand independent international lab testing for these situations. Just like we don't like having the police investigate themselves. -
Looks like Klein will get another majority, although it may be a reduced one according to a poll out today.

Third Test Is Ordered in Possible Mad Cow Case There are lab records from other tests on other animals that they will not release to the public. I wonder why! -

Waiting for Iraq I was watching CPAQ today and there was Gwynne Dyer being interviewed. This latest article of his is, as usual, exceptionally on target.

Parrish is probably a follower of Gwynne Dyer, who has a different perspective on things compared to our RAW RAW USA compadres on the right. Gwynne Dyer -

Why especially US citizens? America BTW is comprised of North & South America and includes many countries such as Chile and Equador. I know that is not who you meant. -

Argus.....whether you like it or not a lot of Canadians are very unhappy with the US, and it is a growing phonemena in Canada. And they have every right to express their point of view. A lot of people don't think our government represents them, and why should they, as the Liberals are governing with, what was it, 36-37% support. Most Canadians are opposed to missle defence. If the government represented what Canadians want, maybe there would be less shrillness. -

Liberals latest buzz word for dealing with Parrish: ACCUMULATIVE It is bullshit of course. Peter MacKay will never need acting lessons when he leaves politics. Jeez what a clown! He must have been taught by Paul Martin. -
