I don't know much about them, I don't know the legalities of who owns the airlines or whatever.

We don't have an emergency. We have a city, province, and federal government that failed to act for weeks and enforce the law.

People who break the law should be fined and/or arrested. People who don't break the law should be able to go about their business and walk the public streets that they own.

Justin Trudeau is under the mistaken assumption that Parliament Hill belongs to him.

Planes owned by a private business can have whatever requirements they want. WTF is the point of going to ottawa to protest vaccines? They don't make the vaccines in Ottawa. You even have a few Nazi flags at the protests, but it's not a pro-Nazi protest.

Most at the protest don't like Trudeau. But it's not an anti-Trudeau protest, it's an anti-mandate protest.

No i think people breaking the law should be punished and arrested if necessary, while those not breaking the law should be left alone. But they have declared downtown ottawa a "no protest zone", meaning Charter Rights do no apply there.

Some people (the ones in parked trucks or otherwise blocking the streets) were protesting illegally. I don't agree with that. Most of the people left out there are pedestrians protesting peacefully. I support their right to peaceful protest, and I support their cause. They aren't a threat to democracy, they are exercising democracy. You should join us! Why are the police in riot gear bothering these peaceful protestors downtown who are on foot? The police should get rid of the blockade and let the peaceful protests continue.

I think blockading a city with trucks and with police is equally illegal. Freedom to protest. Our hard-fought right.

You have no rights whatsoever to enter another country. You do have rights to enter and leave your own country, and to move freely within your own country, as defined by the Charter and UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights to which we are a signatory. You will comply. You will coerce compliance of others by taking their jobs. Tell me, using science, how do the trucker vaccine mandates make Canadians safer? What is the difference between hauling a truck through Toronto or Alberta versus through Michigan or Montana or Washington state? Maybe this would make more sense if omicron hasn't spread through Canada yet and had been inside the US, but that isn't the case. The policy makes no sense. It's overreach.

The mandates for truckers went into effect Jan. 15. A week later truckers started driving to Ottawa. They don't like Trudeau in this instance because of the mandates.
