  1. Now there is a whopper...... The Title of the article is Tory senators face Elections Canada charges over campaign spending whereas your title is ..... Ottawa Bureaucrats vs. Conservatives Lets look at these CPC bagmen... Patronage to the Senate. Those charged include Senator Doug Finley, a former party campaign manager, and Senator Irving Gerstein, a major Tory fundraiser.
  2. The No Side has just taken the lead on MLW> Still a dogfight I see...
  3. Wonderful commentary. See u on the Amazing Race.
  4. Pure nonsense... to the point of you being completely exasperating. You haven't shown one piece of evidence to support your statements. I have provided all mine from American Sources including the American Government which provides the "licenses" to those for travel purposes. To Suggest that Americans can travel as freely and without the restrictions as Canadians with regards to going to Cuba is completely absurd. At this point, I figure you are just toying with me to get my goat because there is no "reason, rational or evidence" in your responses.
  5. I am insulting no one and so stop running for false cover. "are u insulting Americans that didn't emigrate from Cuba." Your Getting Absurd with where your arguments is going. Its only because you don't have a leg to stand on. I recognise that because of a 50 year feud you don't have the same freedom and access to Cuba as other Countries. While there are minor changes for Cultural/Religious exchanges, American Freedom to travel to Cuba is heavily restricted and prohibited.
  6. Come Bush Cheney...give it up... Americans do not "Routelinely" travel to Cuba. Americans would like to Travel to Cuba. I posted those " LOOSENED RESTRICTIONS" from JAN 2011 Here they are again. And here is Obamas context
  7. HOW MANY ODA THREADS DO WE NEED? CHARLES JUST MERGED SOME LAST WEEK AND YOU START ANOTHER ONE!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
  8. LMAO!!! Try again.... Segway to http://www.usacubatravel.com/ And then this lol http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1097.html#entry_requirements
  9. It depends on the trend lines. If Executive Pay continues to rise while their Productivity continues to decline (and many executives at the top pay scale are figureheads) while the desire for greed and profits and larger executive salaries continue to press upwards, then the economic pressures will ultimately be put upon those of lesser economic status and those not sitting around the board table. Pay Executives nothing.. no one suggests this. But Executive pay vs real earnings and productivity are never matched. However Executive protection of their self interest has no limit. They will defend their desires for more and more and justify "their needs" as greater then others and making bold statements of why they have earned it. Fact is, if you are at the top, you have the power to set the bar. This thread really isn't about the hardships of executives. But look how quick one is to defend them
  10. LOL.... Enjoy ... We can travel the entire Country, but... not the US leased Naval Base. Fact is Americans Cannot travel to Cuba with the same Freedom as Canadians. You are not as free as your speech lol.
  11. Yes We can Travel to Cuba... And You cannot! Canada is more free then Both Cuba and the US.
  12. If any broadcaster engages in False and Misleading News, there is recourse. Of course, you as a Supporter of "False and Misleading News" would rather have this recourse removed so that more BS can be spread without recourse.
  13. Very close poll so far. Its Too close to Call. Lets see if more votes come in before the iron cools. I believe this issue is going to fade after this weekend.
  14. Obviously proving my point. Conservatives are for "False and Misleading News" Well done. I applaud your effort. Lets make all the news false and misleading. Then lets have the advertisers follow suit. U can see that your post has nothing to do with the CRTC and its ruling. Its one thing for thread drift. Its another to jump into a thread completely off topic...
  15. Its such a simple thing to understand. Apparently Some conservatives have dropped the KIS and just kept the Stupid. Bill already mentioned it was a stupid thing for her to do, regardless of intent. However, If I submitted a document and then someone changed that document and portrayed it as mine.. well, thats forgery.
  16. No, I am very pleased. Not only did you put your post on Guns in a thread about the CRTC and Broadcasting. But you put it in the thread titled "Conservatives for False and Misleading News". I think u are well on your way... Happy trails.
  17. When in a hole.. stop digging.. Whats fun about this... Conservatives must love digging holes.
  18. Maybe u can find a thread to put that post in....
  19. If Harper has nothing to lose.. he will orchestrate an election. Just like 2008.
  20. Better go back and look at that 2005 election again. 1) Paul Martin called an election and essentially pulled the plug on himself. 2) Paul Martin lost confidence in his own government. 3) A confidence vote came up a few short weeks before Paul Martins official noose date. 4) I believe the NDP didn't have enough seats to keep the Martin Government in power, regardless of which way the voted on the confidence measure. IIRC Chuck Cadman was deceased by this time and it was Chuck Cadman, who kept the Liberal Government afloat. The NDP received Concessions in the form of Corporate tax cuts and investments into Canada instead for their support. In late 2005 Paul Martin was paying no heed to the NDP. And therefore, never expected their support. Only Liberals who realized they lost the election, rewrite history to lay blame on the NDP, when it solely lies with them. ANd yes, the NDP is much like the old Social Credit. They will pull the plug regardless of polls.
  21. I believe the NDP and Tories will have many seats switching hands. Expect the CPC to lose a few to the NDP and visa versa. I can't tell you whom the net benefactor will be, but your line above is poor thinking from any strategist.
  22. The Liberals pushed through this set of Corporate Tax cuts, not the NDP? Infact what is Ignatieff saying? We voted for it but now we are against it, even though we can't stop it? Compared to the NDP. We voted against it, and its going through because it cannot be stopped. Its ALREADY passed. If the Harper Government was coughing up another round of corporate tax cuts. I am sure, both parties would be against it... well, I am not sure about the Liberals.
  23. The NDP never want an election. Their MPs are always vulnerable and the NDP have always believed they can get more done in the house then in an election. But the NDP doesn't support any government without the government supporting the NDP on some issue. Thus if there isn't anything on the table, the NDP have never hesitated to vote against the government. And if there is nothing on the table, the NDP won't support a government even if it means going to the polls. THe NDP watch the polls like any other party, but it doesn't seem to affect their decisions. The pundits and media alway say that... "oh it doesn't look good for the NDP in the polls". Well for a party with a range of 15 to 20% support that is their traditional range. I think the NDP were at 13% in the 2008 election and came out with 17 or 18% support. I don't believe the NDP has asked for HUGE things. They have asked for changes to current programs. This is hardly in the realm of Douglas and Lewis who brought in Health Care or Fira. These were totally new programs. I also don't think that this meeting has anything to do with Bev Oda issue. All party leaders normally meet with Prime MInister before the budget and normally the Prime Minister humours them then blows them off. Returning back to ODA. Thats a separate issue that doesn't look like its going away soon.
  24. R you sure about that? Its been my understanding that the Conservatives have only ever required one party on board to get any bill passed. I thought they were roughly 12 seats shy and the NDP, has 39 seats.
