  1. If you paid $104k in taxes, you paid 3X the amount of the 87Million Dollar company I worked for....
  2. thank u, Sometimes experience in government matters....
  3. The government is in freefall...
  4. Conrad black took millions ..... if he ever paid any taxes... the government needs to give it back to the people he diverted funds from. The Cons want Conrad Black back in Canada.. Good for the Conservative Party. Cocktails at 7
  5. The true communist colors of the NDP are starting to show.. "Excuse me Mr.Mulcair, your Stalin is showing".. They called Tommy Douglas A bolshevik... and virtually all the CCFers communists.... I like Socialist Hordes.... So... who is in bed with Communist China... never mind...
  6. I think Kenny and Harper are hiding behind public servant skirts. This is a government that has little hesitation over ruling and second guessing public servants. If Harper wanted to keep the convict out, he would certainly indicate his intention to do so as he has done in other instances. The Conservatives are happy to have Conrad Black back in Canada. Daddys coming home...
  7. Stick up for the Criminal. I am sure the Nanny Harper will take care of Conrad.
  8. I think its optics and I think its more pallatable to the public. While the partisans would like to do as you have suggested, I think the general public is more accepting of sitting as an independent vs a by election. I just believe that is how it is. I think there are now two independents in parliment today. One is a Former Conservative.....and one A former NDP. lol....I guess they are pairing off
  9. Yes..On the 2nd day if not the very day.. along with his riding association.... and on his FB page. However, the biggest difference is that he is choosing, at this time to sit as an IND MP, athough as of today he has suggested he is ready to return to caucus. I personally believe people are more offended if they switch parties then if they choose to sit as an IND. I believe, just as did Reform, that a person who wishes to leave should either leave immediately switch parties and run in a by election, or sit as an IND then run for the party of choice in the next election. This prevents people like Emerson from scoring a cabinet position 45 hours after being elected as an opposition MP. As for Quebec... I am sure that they Quebec MP who went to the Liberals made a Career Limiting Move or has the best and worst set of judgement. Scoring a surprise NDP win then tossing it away to join the LPC thinking the NDP would continue poorly after Turmel. I believe the most recent Crop Poll has the NDP above 51% in Quebec with 500 Quebecers surveyed. that would mean the NDP would win all but 2 seats...

  11. http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/politics/article/1169568--walkom-ottawa-s-low-wage-immigration-policy-threatens-turmoil On Wednesday, Finley journeyed to Alberta to announce that Ottawa will make it easier — not harder — for employers to hire temporary foreign skilled workers. More importantly, she said Ottawa will allow employers to pay such foreign workers 15 per cent less than the prevailing wage. Up to now, employers had to pay temporary foreign skilled workers the going rate. If comparable Canadian workers in an area received on average, say, $20 an hour, foreign workers would have to be paid the same. No more. The temporary foreign workers program began as a stop-gap measure in 2000, specifically to deal with a shortage of software specialists. But under pressure from employers — particularly in the Alberta oil patch — it has vastly expanded.
  12. I don't know who it stung.. While I don't like the Prime Minister to be laughed at, I gotta say, it is funny. As for your spin on history... it was those Commie Russians who captured Berlin... and operated on 80% of the Front.... If the Prime Minister Of Canada is of another party and ever calls the Opposition Leader Hitler, I would expect him to Apologise if not outright resign. There are alot of yahoos on forums on the political spectrum who say crazy things. That is not the role of the Prime Minister of Canada. lets all praise the Oil going to China and their Labour coming here...
  13. I hope he scores more like this.
  14. No, the Prime Minister shouldn't resign. I had heard he was funny, I had just never seen it before.
  15. its a $28 Billion Deficit if it continues at this pace...No surplus, just a budget based on their dismal record in 2010 makes this look good. I guess YOU, (as you seem to be part of this when you say WE) , have no reason to solve the deficit on the backs of Seniors now.
  16. .. when you use Professor talk you have to leave the island Jk...
  17. I don't think its safe at all...The Liberals nearly won it in 2003 and they will put in everything including the Kitchen Sink to gain that one seat back. They need one seat to get back a Majority (if the speaker is required to vote) WSIB changed a long long long long long time ago. Its run like insurance now..... She will fit right in. It doesn't look after injured workers... its not compensation.
  18. Ouch.. this is a direct hit on Hudak. A byelection in 60 days... and I see this Conservative Seat changing hands...
  19. I am sorry, but I am laughing to hard to take the Conservatives seriously.
  20. About as fair and clear and concise and answer as anyone could give. And I would agree.
  21. Kool.. Nice picture of Bernier... lol.. how timely... He seems to be surrounded by questionable people.
  22. Missed this thread.. Fantino is an amazing fundraiser...
