Acura Honda Kia Mitsibushi Hynudai VW.....all these have no warranty for being brought into Canada. Subaru ** and some fo the other big ones require special payment and things. Subaru does not offer warranty to cars brought in new, however you can pay for the warranty work and then submit to US Subaru and hope to be paid.................hope.

Yes and no. It appears many of the new condos are being snapped up and rented out in contravention of purchase agreements . Long term rentals arent the concern, its doing it on short term that is. Its a legal problem for those that get caught, but I suspect very few do. I dont think Airbnb have too many concerns apart from the vicarious/shortfall aspect of legal liability.

Rent an apt. Save the hotel money for exploring. Much better to have coffee in the morning in your own kitchen like a normal unwashed person than cleaning up onesself and seeking it outside. Last yr I did Australia this way, cheaper to rent a condo than a hotel room, and the condos were twice the size of any hotel room.

Muni bylaws dont really come into effect as refers to underwriting. They only conern themselves with mandating insurance, not the coverage itself.

Airbnb cover thier own ass, no one elses. The limit airbnb has is over and above what a homeowner carries. Once the homes insurance is exhuasted then theirs kicks in. So if no insurance exists on the home, the level of airbnb, probably a million bucks kicks in AFTER you have coughed up the million.

It can go a couple of ways. If a paying guest and they find out, you could be in some trouble. I would bet that the monies would be delayed in coming if they know. The theft, again, a guest and not paying....then you are covered assuming it is a valid item and not over any set limit in your policy. There is the 'mysterious disappearance' clause on jewellry and the such. If you are charging for the room on short stay basis, then its a commercial B&B and charged for. If a guest slips and sues you are covered under either the OL&T (rarely used anymore) or the more common CGL If it is only a home policy and no coverages shows for rentals, the slip and fall may still be valid provided the person suing does not live there of any permanance. Correct, but what you may not know is the car insurance (UBER. Cabs,private veh's)is heavily regulated and controlled as to who gets what , when and why. For instance, impaired driving, if you crash and get charged the insurance wont respond for the damage to your car, but they cannot deny an innocent party in a suit. Now the ins co may only be forced to ay the minimum in liability, which in this country is $200,000. Home insurance is not regulated like auto ins. Again, all true, however what isnt in play with the above is the profit factor that Taxis have enjoyed. The dumb cost for the plates is one. Its high because its lucrative. The owner of the plate and car (who never drives it) gets his profits, the drivers there cut and the dispatcher their cut. Pay Uber to get the app, and the profit is the drivers.

The Liberals had scandal upon scandal and should have been a cakewalk for the other relevant party the PC's to win. Then the platforms came out, one of them (guess who) included a monumentally stupid position to get rid of a 100 thou civil servants /public workers. That next sound was the same party going "ow ow ow...I just shot myself in the foot!" Then the people voted and the PC's who should have been a shoe-in were not only defeated but resoundingly so. And that is how the PCs were worse than the Liberals . Not hard to figure out.......for most people that is.
