  1. Yes, it's a big name in the vitamin game. So?
  2. Myata, are you taking your ball and going home?
  3. What is 'progressive' about abortions being legal up until the baby comes through the birth canal? That sounds barbaric to me. What is 'progressive' about the harder I work, the more I pay in taxes to the big man? That sounds regressive to me. Why work harder if the government is going to take it all anyways? Adn we wonder about our productivity rate? What is progressive about being anti-war no matter what? That has been tried many times and it only works if the other guy knows he can't defeat you. It is an old tired mantra that has been proven wrong over and over again, so I ask, what is progressive about that? Wouldn't a 'progressive' realize that the world doesn't work that way and that there are, at times, just reasons to go to war? What is 'progressive' about being against increasing the age of consent? In the age of internet and child sex predators, this was good legislation to protect children from internet sex predators. Why were the 'progressives' against this legislation? What is 'progressive' about that? The term 'progressive' is a real bastard.
  4. I agree. gut it. Do it right and have it last for 50 years. otherwise, pick a new PM residence to build and find a good architect to do a nice one. I'm more of a traditionalist on most things, but old is not always better than new, just because it's old. They built ugly buildings in the 1800's too. I work in Saint John NB and people are up in arms about tearing down buildings. That's good, but not the gaudy, decrepit one's. The ones that never had any architectual value at all? Why keep them for the sake of keeping them? Change is good and a mix and new and old makes for the most pleasing landscape in my opinion.
  5. It's illegal in Alberta. there goes yoru hypothesis on the right wing. lol
  6. Yep, and one of the main things they are doing is covering people's deductible on their insurance. (why, not sure)
  7. I live on an island on this offending river and I have sewer backup insurance. and it's cheap.
  8. cite? The pharma companies operate under even stricter rules and regulations and one of the biggest in the world is in Canada. Actually, make that two if you include Alberta in Canada. As usual, your logic is non-exitent.
  9. exactly. How do we know eyeball is not doing the same thing? There needs to be standards in this area and it is a way overdue. Sorry if I say screw the 'small businessman' on this one in the interests of not having another pet food fiasco with humans.
  10. My mistake, how silly of me not to know that Montreal and Toronto are not cities.. Now can you tell David Miller that so he can stop demanding a handgun 'ban'? thank you
  11. I think this is great legislation. About time. I was shocked to see that we did not have this, especially after the pet food fisaco last year. Guess who makes your 'natural' home remedies? yep, come from China too. This is to protect the people that can be hurt by this unregulated industry. About time they play by the same rules.
  12. 1) yes, we are all going to die. 2) You think 'mother earth' is a sentient being?
  13. But you forgot to vote daniel. You are definitely a left footer, er left winger.
  14. ?? Buffy, are you that clueless? It's right there in black and white. You were responding to DOP's post, you even quoted it. Do you think people are stupid or what?
  15. Yeah, I guess the term drunk Indian is pretty self explanatory and doesn't require a definition.
  16. Well, the majority of people on earth live on flood plains. 'Flood plains' is a very subjective term to insurance companies. For example, any valley on earth with a river running in the middle of it, is a flood plain. Manhatten, is a flood plain.. It's how often it floods. Normal people and insurance companies measure the probablility and frequency of the floods to determine premiums. Most of the land that was flooded here in NB this time was on a flood plain that was designated as 1/100. In other words a flood of this magnitude would be expectged to happen once per 100 years. People have and had flood insurance. Do you think they should still be able to live there?
  17. Wouldn't it be important to know what they actually said before we determine that it was racist or not? Or is the mere term of 'Indian' enough to put one off of supper? Was it an Indian restaurant that they were eating in? Perhaps they were talking about food and all this hullaboo is for naught?
  18. Arrrgghhh!!! Arrgghhh Margrace!! arrggghhh!!
  19. Welcome to the boards. Glad to have more reasonable people come here...
  20. don't put your back out twisting logic.
  21. Oh, don't be foolish kitchener. Afghan's want us to stay, heck, they even want the great satan of the US to stay. Wether you choose to believe the facts when they fly in the face of your Ideology is another question, but you have clearly been proven wrong.
