  1. So, you choose to be here. What's with all the whining then?
  2. Let's understand this correctly. In August 2008, before the recession started, the PM predicted it would end before the end of 2009. And then in October during the election, Harper kept going on about how Canada is not in a recession. And then in November/December he said everything was fine. And then after the prorogation, he said we have to respond to the recession with a stimulus package. And then every month after that he kept saying we're recovering. Keep repeating "recovery" and eventually you'll be right. Does that mean you'll stay? There's still a lot of immigrants here.
  3. That's exactly the problem. They are getting along and not killing each other. That's when there are no spoils left for Mr. Canada to loot.
  4. Or when the impoverished and the downtrodden revolt and another civil war erupt, he'll be looking for another safe-haven.
  5. Ha ha. I'm not surprised you couldn't understand the findings.
  6. My statement was in reference to then-immigration minister Sergio Marchese (?) back in the 1990s in response to the Reform Party calling for restricting immigration. His statement went something like, If we end immigration, the last Canadian will die in 125years.
  7. The perfect right-wing example of misinformation. A usual tactic to create general public confusion. Here’s the original.
  8. The idiot-factor in action: From today's Toronto Star
  9. Mom: Jimmy, make your bed. Wash your dishes, cleanup after yourself. Jimmy: But why mom, it's only going to get messed up again. Mom: Don't make excuses. It's not respectful nor considerate to leave your mess for others to clean up.
  10. Is the word "incineration" used generically or specifically? I'd attended a seminar several years ago in which an engineering firm an emerging technology that "cooks" the garbage at high temperature. When asked about the garbage being incinerated, he specifically clarified that it was not incineration, that this process did not involve burning. I totally forgot what the process was called. It has no emissions. As landfills consume for valuable land, costs will eventually skyrocket. Eventually, it would become economical to send our garbage to the sun.
  11. So to conclude that raising global temperature levels within 100 years and comparing it as equivalent to temperatures hundreds of millions of years ago credits the deniers alot more imagination and creativity they don't have.
  12. By the past, you mean several hundred million years ago when all the CO2 (we are emitting back into the atmosphere) was already roaming the planet in the form of dinosaurs, tropical plants and other animals that could withstand such heat. Then suddenly by some catastrophe all that CO2 got buried.
  13. Not even for immigrants? If immigrants don't commit suicide, they'll overpopulate the world!!
  14. According to Canada's organic growth rate, under this criteria the last voter will die in about 100years.
  15. Right-wingers always talk about more choice. But their actions have always been to limit them.
  16. And just days from Harper talking majority this again: http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/685820 and so with the Republican, Shady will again be disappointed.
  17. That's the point. If people had done what they should have done, the garbage would have been much smaller and would not stink at all. But people are makers of their own destiny and prefer to just whine about it.
  18. I guess it figured out if it was going to survive, they have to give Harper extended coverage. Odd considering Harper hates the media.
  19. See? and now they're trying to blame the people who were against the invasion.
  20. Ha ha, sounds like me lecturing my kids about behaving like a mining company leaving their mess for the public to clean up. ...or like the people whining about the stinking garbage when all they had to do was practise separating the recyclables and food scraps from the real garbage. Nice try. Now you're whining about (not the strike)...me!! I didn't have any problems with the strike or its outcome at all.
  21. Oh, mother earth will heal itself - or better stated, reach a new equilibrium. Our problem is that humanity and all we depend on or affect won't be around. It's as if the earth (or the universe for that matter) belongs to humanity as the Bible claims. We're alarmists when everything predicted since the '80s is coming true. Meanwhile those who call us alarmists still believe Iraq had WMDs without question.
  22. There already was a report published a while back stating that the cost of fixing global warming would sky rocket if we do nothing and that it would far out-weigh any benefit (if any). Global Warming is now accepted as fact (except for a few hold-outs). Now the deniers are talking adaptation.
  23. Ha ha, commenting just for the sake of posting is almost like whining for the sake of ...well that's what you do.
