  1. Too young to remember the cold war? But that was soooo long ago huh?
  2. What does that make those pro-lifers who shoot abortion doctors?
  3. Thanks, Derek, for proving my point. People don't change either.
  4. As long as there's a leftwinger (Clinton a left-winger?!), the rightwingers will divert all the blame on him. When was the last time you heard a right winger make an "I will accept full responsibility..." speech?
  5. The only things that change are technology. The people are the same even compared to a thousand years ago. Thirty years isn't long at all.
  6. On Sept 2nd FastNed wrote: I missed his answers. Can you reiterate?
  7. My dear children. Thirty years isn't that long ago. As any over-the-top patriotic American will do, he'll bring up how the Marshall plan saved Europe - and that's even further back than a measly 30yrs. So you think that just because Nixon and his people have been exposed for what they are everything is ok now? That all government corruption is fixed? The names have changed but the kind of people running the show has always been the same since time immemorial. How far back does you memory span take you? Can you think as far back as the beginning of the last invasion of Iraq? Those WMD don't exist and the administration is running circles pointing fingers. Whatever happened to real leadership - the kind that will go in front of the camera and say to the public "I will take full responsibility..."? The last time I remember a speech like that was from Jimmy Carter. Going back to gov't corruption and their thugs - you really think their mandate is restricted to protecting the President? What do you think Tom Ridge's Home Land Security is really up to? There's a bunch of people detained in Guantanamo Bay, held without charge under neither international military law or civilian law. When the United States took itself out of the International Crimes tribunal, you've got to be suspicious. I have no doubt that web discussion forums like this one is being monitored, so it'll be people like me most at risk for speaking out in any manner not friendly towards the United States policy.
  8. Aint Canada great? What would you call those guys hired by Nixon to take out Ellsberg during one of those anti-Vietnam protests? They were hire to do bodily harm.
  9. Craig: I've read enough of your posts to no longer bother. Responding directly would eventually resort to name-calling on your part.
  10. I thought the right-wing was opposed to same-sex mergers. Now here are a whole bunch of guys talking about forming a union together.
  11. The Canadian Prime Minister has a hands-on approach to protestors. The US President has to hide behind a bunch of thugs.
  12. Earth to FasNed, Earth to FastNed: 9-11 and the invasion of Iraq are two different and unlinked events. George W Bush admitted this too. The war on terrorism had UN approval. The war on Iraq did not.
  13. Now that's a real oxymoron if I ever heard one. Maybe that's where Friendly-fire came from.
  14. George W Bush only needs to say two words to the UN: "I'm sorry."
  15. The only thing shiny about Reagan is his hair.
  16. So you still think Iraq was tied to 9-11? Earth to FastNed. Earth to FastNed. The war on terror is being held in Afghanistan in which Bush got international support. Iraq was a personal vendetta - payback for his father's failure. He would have gotten into Iraq with or without 9-11. His case for going in was full of holes and wouldn't even stand up in any American court of law and the international community knew this. Except for Britain, his only support were from countries who were economically tied to US aid. Even Bushie himself admitted that Iraq was not linked to 9-11. That means his deficit was his own doing. It's also funny how you would consider a billion or two chump change. Right wingers in Canada would have heads roll when that kind of money is thrown around.
  17. Bill Clinton may be the liberal, leftist god, but which one of these is your god? Nixon - thug, who hired people to take out anti-Vietnam activists, and who tried to bribe a judge in the Pentagon Papers case; Ford - clumsy doughhead whose only smart act was to pull out of Vietnam; Reagan - need I say more? Bush Sr - do nothing President; "can you repeat the question? I don't understand." Bush Jr - Can Republicans get any lower? Yes, they can.
  18. If not though marriage, is there another way for homosexual couples to obtain automatic rights of survivor?
  19. Bush has turned at $230 billion surplus into a $525 billion deficit. Iraq is costing the Americans $1billion per week and he's asking for another $87 billion for rebuilding. and is looking to implement more tax cuts. Unemployment is up. And you don't get my point? My how the the right wing is fiscally responsible.
  20. Yes, I can make this kind of generalization after being a member for only one day. I've read enough posts to make that conclusion. Lost in Manitoba has had four posts for three weeks without any responses - until today when I struck a chord.
  21. Bush and his sensible economic plans are costing Americans $1 billion each week in Iraq alone.
  22. Nobody has responded to you because 1) they agree with you; and 2) their agreement with you is in conflict with their party-line affiliation. Most of the people in with forum are either Alliance or PC supporters whose party policies are either opposed to what you are concerned about or are in denial that these are real problems.
