  2. The only people trying destroy Israel are the surrounding Arab countries ( et al) http://www.robinshepherdonline.com/prepare-for-media-onslaught-as-freedom-flotilla-approaches-gaza/
  3. This was planned propaganda and Jenin all over again. More violence and plans of violence against Israel. and Youtube footage of what happened http://palwatch.org/main.aspx?fi=157&doc_id=2339 cont..
  4. I totally agree, also about your suspicions, (what happened to him ? ) I find that some forum posters invariably blow things out of proportion going off on unrelated tangents LOL However, I've also found that some uninformed posters will accuse someone of being a party operative if their posts and information are questioned.
  5. The question really is: how do you know who is a party operative?
  6. Probably it's a waste of time because IMO people who post on these types of forums will not change their minds based on fact or new information.
  7. The 50plus forums are no longer functioning, the whole forum remains for reading only. Taken down by Moses Znaimer for financial reasons, so I don't see how you can say what is left is Conservative - what is left btw, where are you talking about. If you mean Zoomers, it's huge but not much there politically. Is there another site you are speaking of? Moses Znaimer is of the liberal persuasion, one of the reasons and no coincidence that his radio station is promoting the NDP state run pension scheme. http://network.nationalpost.com/NP/blogs/fpcomment/archive/2010/01/11/terence-corcoran-stop-the-music-carp-speaks.aspx
  8. Canada has weathered the recession better than most countries, we are in a much better stronger position also. Some people's partisan and ideological hatred for Harper destroys their vision, to say the least. http://www.gallup.com/poll/126116/canada-places-first-image-contest-iran-last.aspx Canada retained its top position in Gallup's annual country ratings. http://www.israeli-occupation.org/2010-05-06/huge-international-bbc-poll-has-israel-19-favorable-opinion-germany-most-beloved-country/ According to the poll, the most favorable viewed countries are Germany (59%), Japan (53%), Britain (52%), Canada (51%), and France (49%).
  9. Would somebody please explain to me what is wrong with enforcing the law on illegal immigration for pete's sakes.
  10. As far as I know, it is not a common practice, but considering the internet and how many people now get their information, it's not a bad idea. In fact, it's about time the gov't had people out there on forums correcting the left wing propaganda and disinformation.
  11. Do we have any comparisons to other PMs ? He is doing a pretty good job of raising Canada's profile favourably, travelling to help out Canada isn't all that bad.
  12. And then some. Sheez - sometimes I look in here and see a lot posters drinking the kool aid.
  13. The Toronto Star admits is it a liberal-progressive paper and follows it's ideals and mandates of the Atkinson Princples... so at least we know where we are at with the Star. It's a no brainer, Other papers might have some modicum of responsibility but the Star follows it's own lites.. LOL
  14. You sound like a fanatic yourself, please show where Harper is some kind of rabid fundamentalist and where he spoken about this. Please note that Stephen Harper actually attended the United Church ( you know the NDP of prayer)until he went out west. Please show where it says that any non atheist is not allowed a democratic voice, or where only atheists are allowed to run for office.
  15. The political reporting award was a hoot, too bad bias in reporting isn't a consideration. http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/809978--star-wins-6-national-newspaper-awards?bn
  16. Yes, I did know they were married. I can't see it going on for 11 - 12 years either, but maybe a couple more anyway. Wonder what he'll do now he has the kids to look after ?
  17. Hubby and I are Dexter fans. I don't see how you can say it has a potentially brief shelf life when it's 4th season will start in the fall. We only subscribe to the movie channels while Dexter is on - Did you read the books - I did, they are a bit different especially when it comes to Doaks.
  18. Actually what it said was, that he was acting in everyone's interest, he acted quickly to defer further partisan attacks from the opposition. Had he not acted quickly, they would be foaming at the mouth because he hadn't acted quickly. So far, all we know about her is that she allowed Jaffer to use her office and emails, which she should not have done. We do that the drugs and hookers were simply creative thinking on the part of the reporter, there was no backroom in that place, the so called 'busty hoooker' was Gillani's girlfriend, and there is no proof of any cocaine use. So far it's all third party allegations, so I'll wait to pass judgement until we know the whole truth. As for the rest of the first post, it's not worth replying to.
  19. The initiative was Harper's but not the abortion discussion, that was introduced by Ignatieff as a wedge issue some time back. I do agree that total maternal health package for third world countries should include access to safe abortions but where is it written that Canada has to provide it, not to mention it's contrary to the U.N. position. Not providing abortion clinics does not mean that the initiative is useless and women will be denied health care, abortion is only a very small part of a maternal health package. There are many, many other health problems for both mother and child, which I would bet is the first thing they would want help with. Actually, I'd doubt that Canada has any influence or say over how abortions are provided in foreign countries, or who gets them.
  20. So - it's only low when the conservatives make charges - now that is low LOL If Derek Lee was not in fact, lobbying, then his company obviously lied, but why would they do that. I bet the Star won't do any 'investigative reporting' on this one.
  21. You just hit the nail on the head here !! The only issue is with how far the opposition and partisan followers with go to make it another issue LOL
  22. LOl 'twas ever thus the only difference here is that the opposition complained about something they have always done. -
  23. Last but never least, Scarborough-Agincourt MP Jim Karygiannis. “Cheques like that have been delivered since parliament was invented,” he told Maclean’s. Huh Huh
  24. Yes like the Liberal prop cheques only they were all red LOL any one complain about them?
  25. There certainly are better causes, but this whole thing is a contrived issue started by Ignatieff because the wanted a wedge issue using anti-Americanism as the fuel. remember this provocative statement: “advancing the failed right-wing ideologies previously imposed by the George W. Bush administration in the United States.” It's working but not enough to change any numbers or votes, and, the policy could still be changed, meanwhile poor, starving women and children seem to be left behind.
