  1. Wow, me too, what's up with that comment. I was surprised to read that Fisk concludes that the usual UN figure of 5,000 honour killings per year worldwide is off by a factor of at least four. If this is so, then the world needs to speak out more forcefully. http://www.stop-stoning.org/cases http://www.stop-stoning.org/en/node/1309
  2. I just saw this and was upset, I suppose the picture is supposed to do that - the world united against this - I don't think so, does the world really care. http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2010/09/07/honour-killings-the-genocide-that-muslims-inflict-on-themselves/ cont...
  3. Actually, I do believe a church in Alberta lost theirs.
  4. I thought, being politically involved was more than supporting a candidate, ( in Canada) I think it could also lose it's status for advocating on such issues as gay marriage and abortion. The Church has to refrain from partisan political activity. That would include advocating terrorism and jihad I would think. http://www2.parl.gc.ca/Content/LOP/ResearchPublications/prb0590-e.htm
  5. The topic is ' Is Islam Being Political Answer - Islam is always political
  6. If you pay an exorbitant amount then obviously you are not as destitute or in need of help all that much. They do this because it's an end run around a system, an immediate entry into a welfare state. It makes fools of legitimate refugees and immigrants.
  7. It is not subjective, Islam is a political system, with the end goal, for the radicals anyway, being a global caliphate. We know that in Canada (and other countries) they have requested some forms of Sharia law, it is only a matter of time before it gains more ground.
  8. Islam is both religious and political, it is a way of life, Sharia and an Islamic State are their ideals. I suppose it should not have religious/charitable status, but no one has the political guts to do it, unless they have a death wish.. hmmmm think about that one.
  9. And this has - what - to do with the subject !
  10. Yes it is time for reasoned debate, we should be able to debate the issue with the negative labelling.
  11. OOOOOhhhh a secret meeting, should I get a tinfoil hat LOL maybe they just like to listen the conspiracy theorists ranting on I'm more concerned about the left wing attempts to deny SunTV a licence using a foreign organization, couldn't they just write to the CRTC - heck I am, in favour of it. What are they all afraid of, and why such inflammatory, inaccurate language in the petition, at least they have proven what they (leftwingers) really want - you know - freedom of speech only for their point of view.
  12. We certainly do need a law on human trafficking. Severe penalties for the ship owners and captains, ability for Canada to intercept a ship in international waters to turn it back and so on. http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Politics/2010/09/05/15255096.html
  13. I believe a comment was made that they didn't discuss SunTV, but the fervent fervent Liberal partisans would never believe it anyway LOL
  14. Exactly. All they are doing is parroting the left wing who hate Fox with a passion or anything else that gives a different point of view. I didn't hear any 'hate' in Glenn Beck's speech, but if you want a race baiter check out Al Sharpton, his speech was not so great. Al Sharpton ( and Tawanna Brawley) - the David Duke of the Democrats LOL
  15. But they have, the foreign based petition is asking that it not be allowed, using extremely inflammatory wording about hate filled Fox News North. All we know right now is that SunTV wants to offer a mix of opinion and news, but any comments I've read are quite clear on not wanting the station to be allowed at all. They are now asking for a 'must offer' not a 'must carry', it should at least be incorporated into the news package that includes BBC world news and CNN etc. ETA: why should we let professional Yankee agitators influence our choice of news options.
  16. True Blood - can't miss that one LOL
  17. Ahem - this is not about the census.
  18. Yippers - even though Teneyke is involved, there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that Mr. Harper, the CPC or any other conservatives are involved at all. Maybe it's tin foil hat time LOL
  19. Can this guy actually carry out these attacks, or can the west catch them before they do, or is he full of hot air? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/pakistan/7980812/Pakistan-Taliban-threaten-attacks-on-US-and-Europe.html cont...
  20. Sigh - it was in response to the other guy saying - right wing invective pablum There is no answer for Waldo because we don't know what happened or what was discussed at the alleged meeting, anything we say is strictly speculation and conjecture.
  21. Sure, and while we are at it, let's take away preferred status from CBC right now, why should we be required to pay for the privilege of listening to their left wing invective pablum. Really, get a grip, Canadians shouldn't be told what they can watch or can't watch, maybe we should be petitioning to disband the CRTC. Heck, Canadians have to put their hands up to go to the washroom. What is the left wing afraid of, why the hysteria over a conservative news channel they don't have to watch, do their TVs not have a remote or an off button. sheez
  22. Say what !! This should play nicely into the hands of those who believe Obama really is a Muslim. Sometimes one really has to wonder what these folks are smoking LOL http://news.in.msn.com/international/article.aspx?cp-documentid=4337606&vv=800
  23. I find it amazing how Canadians make so many pronouncements about how Fox news is so awful, yet don't subscribe to it - how does that work LOL
  24. Really, again, anything we say is speculation and supposition, no one knows, and so what if there was a meeting, there's no reason why we shouldn't have conservative news channel.
