  1. Anyone with half a brain would question it, most people would know that E.C. doesn't do that, and that polling stations do not close because of voter turnout. I can understand new immigrants maybe not questioning it, but surely one would question it by calling E.C. themselves, the R.O., or a campaign office. Still, no evidence that the conservative party was behind it either, still speculation and innuendo. As the Liberal leaker has been found, so eventually will these perpetrators. We might be surprised.
  2. Exactly !!
  3. It speaks to the issue of other parties being involved, not entirely off topic.
  4. Well, it's not looking good for the Liberals right now as it was a Liberal staffer (who's been fired) behind the Vikileaks account. Who knows what else they were getting up to ... hmmm the shadow knows
  5. IMO they did, there is no hard evidence to suggest they did not or would have lost if this hadn't happened, but it needs to be cleared up and quickly. No doubt the opposition parties are writing their attack ads as we speak, and they have been allowed to frame the narrative as some people lap up every unverified tidbit they are fed. I don't believe parties have complete ID lists of other party voting preferences, certainly not in some database easily uploaded to the robo call website. The information is not that easily massaged into a useable format for robo calls.
  6. It's likely true that there was confusion over the polling location as often happens, E.C. changes the poll or the voter cards get printed incorrectly, it happens. So it's likely true that the campaign office tried to rectify that with more incorrect information, but not to deliberately confuse voters. But, that will be spun of course as something nefarious, those who've worked on a campaign will know how such things happen. All we have so far unverified statements of what they think they remember, so again there's no hard evidence about anything... I await facts. Mike Duffy is partisan of course but his theory isn't off the wall IMO, I think there is more to this than meets the eye. The problem now is that the media and the opposition have a done a very good job at framing the narrative so no matter how innocent the party is, or proven to be, it will not be believed. Possible Third Parties G & M
  7. Totally agree, even legitimate phone calls to help out voters are being spun as something else, with no hard evidence of anything. All speculation and innuendo so far.
  8. The NDP should be careful what they wish for, my guess they would lose a lot of seats to the Liberals. hmmm makes one wonder about who benefits from this scandal because it sure isn't the Tories.
  9. Elections Canada does change polling locations during an election, and often incorrect voter cards are sent out which have to be amended, it's a scramble. Campaign offices have to get votes out so do call voters to give the correct info. That did happen during the last election and will again, so legitimate calls were made, but are now being interpreted and pushed as being part of this larger problem.
  10. As said in your other thread, there is no personal information on the E.C. voters list other than name, address, birth date and gender for cross-referencing. Birth date is needed for a unique identifier, imagine the no. of Smiths in a d/b. All parties keep their own data bases of their supporter information, I've never seen any information on them other than name, address, phone number, will donate, lawn sign, will work in office, volunteer and for what jobs. These lists are created over the years of campaigns and information collected by workers. Notes would be made on them e.g. no longer a supporter or do not call again and so on. I've never seen an opposition voter list kicking around, except under the one circumstance I mentioned earlier. It's a puzzlement to me how the people doing this would have the Liberal voter lists as they would have to come from that party as there's nothing on E.C. lists. I did read in one article that the Liberals have said it's possible their lists could've been sold.
  11. LOL So the liberals are peeing their panties over the thought of an election - no wonder they are pushing this.
  12. Fine - but you know - they have ties
  13. Which proves exactly what ! The NDP have also used Rack9
  14. Well said, but the 'intelligent or not so intelligent left' on here refuses to wait for the facts... tin foil hat time.
  15. It doesn't make sense to me either, if it wasn't the NDP or a group similar to anonynmous, then it was a group of 3 - 4 morally challenged campaign workers. What I still can't understand is how they would get the Liberal voters lists. It's just not possible for them to have put together their own lists, or somehow massaged the CPC lists, as they had to have names, addresses, phone numbers and actual polling locations for those addresses. So far, it's all speculation and innuendo again with no facts and the media feeding off the likes of Pat Martin and Bob Rae who do have a lot to gain from perpetuating this. Hopefully there will be an investigation and the CPC has turned over everything to Elections Canada, so I will still reserve judgement until we have ALL the FACTS.
  16. No to mention that the NDP has also used Racknine - hmmm they have 'ties' to it all
  17. If the opposition had ANY hard evidence that the CPC party was behind this, they would have announced it by now, instead they have tinfoil hat conspiracy theory and speculation. Coverage has pointed out there is no evidence that Mr. Harper's campaign or those of any of the other candidates were involved in the call. Bob Rae and Pat Martin are foaming at the mouth over this with the media feeding off them, but note that Pat Martin has already been served with a cease & desist order from Rack9. http://www.stephentaylor.ca/2012/02/racknine-says-pat-martin-defamed-company/ (wait for the expletives now) The dialling service Racknine has served the NDP Party as well as NDP MP Pat Martin legal notice through their lawyer demanding an apology for Martin's comments: You have committed defamation with reckless regard for our clients' standing and reputation in the community.
  18. I didn't it was them, I said a group such as they. If we ever find out who did this and the conservatives are absolved, you and your ilk wouldn't believe it anyway.
  19. That's disgusting, Isn’t the woman entitled to privacy, my goodness, and her family. I hope no one with any integrity agrees with what they are doing…
  20. It is interesting, I really don't see the CPC organizing something to that extent, maybe a group such as 'anonymous' perhaps, who else would have access to so many Liberal voter lists. I've seen and used the Conservative system, which does not have Liberal voter lists in it. It appears there is something larger at play here.
  21. I'm beginning to think that it was just that, and has backfired, and certainly the CPC want the correct answers, it's in their best interests to do so.
  22. I don't think the fiscal resources are as high as suggested on here, but you think that the Tories have Liberal voter information/lists just kicking around ? I've worked on a number of campaigns but haven't seen any other lists but their own, how would they get them, they sure don't keep them around any campaign offices I've ever worked on. I will tell you a little personal anecdote from a election where I worked in the Tory campaign office a number of years ago. The sitting federal MP is well known and still in office so no names, but this MP did not like the incumbent provincial MPP who had refused to lend his support to him. (I had a lot of respect for this Liberal MPP and had actually voted for him previously). I won't go into the reasons why he didn't support him. This MP personally handed over to us the Liberal lists they keep, it was huge and contained both provincial and federal names as they do co-operate with each other. We were stunned, he even delivered a pizza with it LOL So, I suppose it's not too far fetched to suggest Liberal lists might have been sold...
  23. Actually I've wondered that too, how would he get the Liberal supporter lists, not just one, but many it seems. That is pretty incredulous.
  24. I've always thought that, it was one the main planks of the Reform party.
  25. Haven't read it and will not, but wouldn't expect anything different from someone as biased as Martin.
