  1. I have no idea what you are talking about. I don't know what happened in the Chatroom before I was a member here as only members can access the chatroom from what I understand. i am not very techy. I usually attend the Pride parade every year as I have several friends who are usually in it, so I come out to support them and the struggle for gay rights and equality. I have never tape recorded or videotaped anything during Pride, I am too busy taking in the celebrations. Many people do video tape the parade including news people from around the world and even some normal people do too.
  2. In our western democracies laws are able to be changed. In Islamic countries they cannot be as they are ruled by Sharia Law.
  3. If those same kids are part of a misogynistic, geo political/religious movement who's laws are ruling some nations and has offshoots that are extremely violent, antisemitic and anti western way of life, then yes I would be.
  4. it might help if you read the context of how I used those terms instead of cherry picking them.
  5. The only thing that stopped that scene from becoming a real riot was the brave policemen who chose to spring into action and prevent it. If they weren't there the protesters would've gotten closer to the memorial service and a huge riot would've cracked off. That scares me. It scares me when Muslims that we are at war with can come to Canada and try to protest a Remembrance Day service that is to remember our war dead, not theres.
  6. Ha! I don't think I am being fairly represented. Muslims are the ones have been beheading people lately. Not all Muslims behead people or are even in favor of beheading people of course. I would even contend that most Muslims are moderate. Most Muslims are simply going through their lives just trying to raise a family and lead good lives as it sounds what this guy is trying to do. It's only the fanatical ones we need to be worried about, the problem is that there is no way of knowing which ones are fanatical and that is the problem. This is what scares me and many other people. When the Muslims come out only when the strange music is playing and all the women have only eyes showing it's scary for a lot of people. If this Muslim man doesn't want to serve women, who cares? He is only losing money and if he loses enough money his business will fail and we won't have to worry about it anymore.
  7. So it seems like Muslims vs progressive women resulted in a win for the Muslims in the first round. Stay tuned for round 2...ding,ding ding...hahaha
  8. Precisely what happened to the Afghan women. They were inciting a riot so where told to go away or risk being arrested. Our war heroes deserve to be respected, they have earned that much.
  9. I think you are mistaken. The one I saw in the paper stated the opposite to be true.
  10. Inciting a riot is against the law. These Afghan women protesting at a Remembrance Day memorial service is inciting a riot and therefore an arrest-able offence. In this case the police acted appropriately and I applaud them. The Afghans and the people with them were there to cause trouble and for no other reason. They were inciting a riot and would have been arrested had they stayed.
  11. What are you talking about?
  12. Someone said that people can protest anywhere, which is legally true. Equally true the law states that inciting a riot is a crime. Meaning that if some groups protest starts a riot the protesters can be arrested.
  13. That is the same thing to me. At least these Afghan women look at it as being the same thing so will I.
  14. I think that PM Harper is a nice man who has a nice looking family, he also likes kittens. It's fair to say that millions of Canadians trust him to do a better job then the other guys available. I was scared at first when he was PM when then PM Martin said that Harper would put guns in our streets and that he had a hidden agenda that included making abortion illegal and making homosexuals go back in the closet. But none of that has happened. They said it would happen when he had a majority and again, none of that has happened. I trust him more and more all the time to do the right job.
  15. of course, of course. Businesses have target audiences no doubt about that but they shouldn't be banning people based on race, religion, sex etc.
  16. I think that a Catholic upbringing provides a good framework from which to lead your life. Plus the schools seem to be vastly superior according to the rankings. Don't let your own feelings on the subject of God poison your children. By shielding them from religion you're poisoning the water.
  17. Sure there would be more money available potentially. But if all the centre of left supporters who support a tax hike sent in an additional 2-3% I thin k that would cover the amounts that the centre and centre right would've sent in so it should balance out. Why not just send it in on your own and leave more money in the pockets of those who do not wish to pay more taxes.
  18. While it's correct to question the government, I doubt many people on this board are qualified to read a budget and see where its flaws are. Sometimes we need to trust our governments to do the right thing and hope they do. If they do not we can all vote them out next election which thankfully isn't for a long time. I was tired of the constant elections.
  19. I don't understand how this post of yours relates to my own post which you quoted sir.
  20. Inciting a riot is a criminal offence.
  21. For all the people who support raising the taxes why not just send your money to the government on your own and leave the rest of us with more of our money for ourselves. Just write the government a cheque and mail it in. I'm sure they would take it.
  22. Religious people always blame a countries foreign policy for natural disasters? I find that hard to believe. I think I would need some sort of proof on that one as I've never heard of that before.
  23. My guess is that you're very young and don't remember or weren't alive when many of these things were against the law. Read my post again please it clearly states present laws or laws from our recent past. Blashphemy is still against the law if my memory serves me correctly or it is no longer it certainly was in my lifetime. Sunday Shopping was banned in Canada in my lifetime as well it was only with the last 20 years or so that stores were allowed to be open on Sundays. Adultry was also against the law for a long time as well and may still be on the books, I'm not sure. That's six for sure. Like it or not Canada was founded on Christian principals. Read the Constitution God is mentioned there and God is in our national anthem as well.
  24. Well it seems that the good part of democracys is that they are always evolving and laws are able to be changed. In Islamic countries laws are almost never able to be changed for any reason.
  25. It seems that most of the 10 commandments are current laws or have been laws in recent times. To simply wipe away the impact of the Bible has had on our society because it makes people uncomfortable isn't honest.
