Look at Europe, the Muslim population is growing and so is the frequency of public beheadings and honour killings.

Countries with large Muslim populations are becoming more extreme not less extreme. Look at Egypt which now has the Muslim Brotherhood in power.

Very good news to be sure Squid. The problem is that Islamic rule and Islamic Law are spreading. This is a serious concern. If we weren't allowing immigrants from these places I really wouldn't care but the fact is that we are and with them they bring these backward ways of thinking. I don't want any more beheadings, honour killings or any more Islamic violence at all. I don't want to see stonings in Canada, this is what scares me. If we're allowing these people to move here from places that allow these practices how can they just switch it off overnight? One day they live in an Islamic nation where these things are common place the next they are in Canada where we don't do these things. Can these people who have this type of violent lifestyles inbred into them over generations really switch it off like that? Do they want to switch it off? how many Muslim priests are in Canada who are wanting them to continue living in Canada the way they did in the old country? This is very scary. Western nations are setting themselves up to taken over by Muslim extremists in another 50 years or so simply by them out breeding the population that is currently in those countries. I like freedom and I only want people to come to Canada if they believe in the same freedoms I do. I don't want my great grandchildren to be living under Sharia Law.

Islamic nations are not as free as we are in the west. I hope that this table will help clear that up. I've been reading about these Islamic nations for a while and some of the things happening there are coming to Canada. The Muslims tried once to get Sharia law enacted in Canada, they will try again. They may just wait until they have bred enough children and immigrated enough in order to vote us out. This is terrifying to me.

Ok some of you are saying that Islamic countries are a beacon of human rights and are countries that Canada should model itself from? If no then why are so many of you defending the human rights records of Islamic nations?

Being fully versed in the Catholic faith is very complicated. it is simply knowing the basics about the Bible. There is a ton of tradition and rituals to know.

The Catholic Schools are protected by the Constitution.

If non Catholics starting working at the Catholic school board it would destroy the board as it would be no different from the public one. The Catholic school board must uphold the Catholic values, if one isn't Catholic they don't know what those values are. Catholic values are inserted into each facet of school life for the child, again if the teacher isn't Catholic they cannot do this.

A priest is a generic term and isn't religion specific. Canadians born in Canada are raised in a majority Judeo-Christian society so most people think of a priest as being a Christian priest only.

Saudi Arabia beheads people for witchcraft regularly so I don't think they are a beacon of human rights in the Islamic world. Turkey flirted with democracy for a while but is now turning away from that model and towards Sharia nowadays. Iran hangs suspected homosexuals. Women are stoned to death for being raped. All in Islamic countries. I don't know of any Islamic countries where basic human rights as outlined by the UN are at a high standard. Do you?

At the protest a lot more than two women were there. A fist fight broke out, check my first post in this thread for the video of the event. Many more than two were present, it was scary when crazy people are yelling at me. I am disabled so I think that I may be targeted because of my disability and that I may seem an easy target for them. We are at war in Afghanistan which is a Muslim country. These women are from Afghanistan and are Muslim and said that we were at war with them. So I use that to frame my argument. I don't see how name calling will help at all. How are you so sure I am a male? I am afraid of being beheaded. Many people are beheaded in Islamic countries for being a non Muslim. Many people come to Canada from these countries, how many still hold the beliefs that non believers should be beheaded?
