Attack ads prevented a summer election: Harper
Borg replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I consider them "Truth Ads" If there was no truth to them, the libs would have pulled them through the legal process We need more truth and less window dressing Borh -
Well, I am active and unable to access You Tube in the desert - military censors deny access to any networking sites - so I do not have a clue about what your are speaking about But I fear little and death is not something to run from - so what is your big point? Borg
-
Hardly We are talking about indians not looking after themselves - instead needing a babysitter Time they used some of that grant money for someting other than wine - ing Adults with personal responsibility? Or babies that needtaking care of? They pick? You pick? I no longer care - they can walk of the cliff and the world will continue - they never have anything good to say - and they never seem to have anything on their mind but more money from thetax payer Almost as bad as sending money to Africa - it disappears down a dark hole Borg
-
Funny thing is I do not believe the feds have a dog in this fight Time for those lazy assed chiefs to find some personal responsibility and man up - if this stuff is important to the indians then go out and get it - they have money and they have telephones and they can stop acting like whining babies with no ability to fend for themselves. This is simply another political whine No one buys it for me and the family Borg

Why do we allow the cell phone companies to rob us?
Borg replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No one says you need to carry a cell phone - got by without them for years - we could all do it again I spend less than 15 bucks a month on cell phones - an intrusion on my private time Borg -
Alberta economy to take biggest hit this year
Borg replied to jdobbin's topic in Business and Economy
Got that T-shirt - but they will be back with a vengance - energy will always be needed. Even the greenies heat their house, drive to work and wear / eat petroleum by products Borg -
Your attitude and response just proves everything I stated about you Even when I attempt to engage you seriously you pull the superior and entitled canadian act It is a shame - you could very possibly become a serious embarrassment to your family through this superior attitude No one is good enough for someone such as you Your life will be an interesting one - but when you kick off many years from now your family might be surprized at how many show up - not to mourn your passing - but just to be sure the body in the coffin is actually yours Everything you do effects people around you and the world itself - ignore the majority and someday it will cause you much grief Out of this thread now - you can run it Borg

When you finally grow up you will find there are far too many inequities in the world that are created by people who have never been anywhere or done anything - sometimes those new laws are far reaching and always twisted by lawyers to fit their own specific agenda - precendent, money and power - you pick the order of priority You will be one of them - perhaps you will actually get out and do something of value before you get to where you are going - that will allow you to actually grow up - otherwise you will be one who provides more problems than solutions in this world - a self fulfilling prophecy - all in the name of "good for canada" by those who would impose their will upon the majority through legal razzle dazzle - yet they have never been anywhere or done anything - that silver spoon they were raised under made their life very easy. The less government interference there is in canada the better - however you would have enforced rights to minorities that exceed those of the majority I gave you some solid advice once - you chose to ignore it - therefore I know how you will turn out - and it will simply continue the downward spiral of the country - and you will be proud of it - an entitled Canadian It is because of you and your ilk that we have moved cash and assets off shore - we intend to NOT let you and yours take it - and that is where the country is going - we have simply joined the train of business and individuals that want to keep what is ours and not be bothered by bullshit legislation. And we treat our employees so well in the family businesses that they kicked a union guy off one of our largest properties - they do not work for us they work with us - and some have partner status which is reachable by all in time - our benefits, profit share and financial rewards exceed anything the "competition" could hope to offer - when our employees come to us they generally never leave - that is how good it is for them - and to think it all started from a rented corner gas station 25 years ago. I travel extensively and have found canada is not the revered country it once was - because it stands for very little - yet you will continue on and think you are doing well. What goes around comes around and the pendulum will swing the other way some day - hopefully before it is too late. Borg

Of course you do not Borg

I knew that Borg

China keeps them sort of under control - are you planning to be there when that small one goes off? Force is not simple - do it and China will step in Obama does not have the capabiity or courage to go this route - perhaps a good thing - and their country is max'd out - a bad thing - and the rest of Europe are for the most part plain out and out cowards. Yeah, if I speak you want answers and if I say it without proof you laugh - but for the most part it is true - Europe = untrustworthy bastards. It is already too late - and you can be sure Canadians will howl in protest as there is no direct effect on them from Korea In the end one cannot be cavalier about this type of situation One artillery nuke will do a lot of damage - which sons and daughters do you pick to be killed? I serve in the middle east now and even in my fairly safe place we had some "fun" today. Heart pumps fast - sometimes those who advocate war should come to the front with those who fight it. Probably be a lot less war. Borg
-
It is not a small thing to go to war with a nuke capable country - especially one that borders China. That may be an extreme comment but remember - do anything to these guys and it will come back in spades - of that you can be sure It is not a stable regime and to date the US has played the game admirably - if it gets out of hand it will be very bad indeed This in not little Johnny down the road that will send his Dad over to beat your Dad - this is a madman - and his replacement will possibly be even worse. How far are you willing to go? Borg
-
I find this quite hilarious Damned if they do and damned if they do not The activists have to get their story together or else all us little folks who pay the taxes to support both outfits will start to wonder who to believe - the feds or the indians Heck of a choice Borg
-
Who cares - once the tough times are over it is over. Start with te following: No government money to foreign aide - want a limit(?) - if a country has received aide for 10 years - cut them - it is not working No government money to special interest groups No government money to corporations No government money to international charity groups No government money to racial, religious groups No government money to support immigrants - come in only if you can support yourself No government money to lawyers All government departments will take a 10 - 20% cut across the board All government people will take an immediate wage freeze. All government people with a salary over - pick one - 100K, 150K, 200K will take a 15% wage roll back All government support to canadians of convenience - people who do not pay taxes - is hereby revoked - do not pay in? Then you do not get. All government money to fund the arts - gone - if it needs federal funding it is a form of welfare You want more cuts - I can give them to you Plus - reduce energy costs to all canadians by creating a "made in Canada" for canadians policy I know many will never agree - but there are a pile of cuts that can be made. Hell give every indian 500K and kill department of indian and northern affairs - cheaper in the long run All it takes is balls and creative thinking - something very few canadians seem to have Borg

How ...... governmentish. Give me a break - put it out to the public - government still collects taxes It is a rare day that a government can run a business to the maximum effectiveness Borg

Ottawa moves to create national securities regulator

Oh waaah! I have asked the question and no one appears to think it is important Borg -
Ottawa moves to create national securities regulator

Stop answering questions with questions. You almost got a serious response out of me but once again your superior intellect and your high and mighty entitled attitude loses me Now go take on the day - if you can Borg -
Federal Court to hear election challenge
Borg replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Hey, I am just one of your apathetic canuckleheads who really does not care one way or the other - I would bet there are a lot of others out here as well. I have been successfully socially re-engineered to not care about what the feds do unless it affects me directly Still seems like a complete waste of time and resources - but then again I am sure there will be some lib judge who is happy to make a case of guilty as charged In the end there will be an election and someone will run - and someone will win - and it will have minimal effect on me as a whole Borg -
To get rid of garbage in Toronto - first it must be sanitized so there is no potential of it coming back to you. Hint: Wrap it in many bright coloured papers - then drive to a lower quality section of town and leave it in your back seat with the window open - step away and watch - it magically disappears. this is how I got rid of it in New York some years ago - worked like a charm every time Borg
-
Seems those booze dispensors in Ontario are about to hit the streets as well Between the indians and the unions a lot of folks will be inconvenienced this summer Might be time to spend the vacation at home making beer and wine Cheaper and less problematic - why drive somewhere to get drunk when you can do it at home for less money and no travel detours around closed bridges? Federal Court to hear election challenge
Borg replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
How much federal funding does democracy watch receive? Seems a bit like closing the door after the horse gets out Surely there are more important things to spend money on And if they win - then what? Hold an election? Gonna' happen anyways Sounds like a bunch of crack pots with too much time and money on their hands - most likely they all come from well to do families and have never got a blister or a callous Borg -
Ottawa moves to create national securities regulator
Borg replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Who regulates the regulator? Unlike the average canucklehead, I am always suspicious of federal regulatory outfits - all powerful and therefore very dangerous Borg -
Court orders Ottawa to let Abdelrazik return to Canada
Borg replied to Smallc's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
From today: Abousfian Abdelrazik, a Canadian man living in exile in Sudan who the government has been told to return home, is a member of a Montreal terrorist cell and has close ties to senior al Qaeda leadership, a new United Nations Security Council document alleges. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...?hub=TopStories Of course, because he is a canadian he is all sweetness and light - but then again he would never acquire a canuck passport for evil purpose - or would he? Oh, wait a minute - he is canadian - so he must be OK - after all he has been cleared by an investigation that probably did not see many RCMP go to that hell hole and talk to the friendly folks he was associating with. Always more to the story - and the media loves a sad tale - so do resident canadians Sigh - yeah - he is canadian so he must be a good guy Borg -
Obama is losing control
Borg replied to JerrySeinfeld's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Perhaps I need to care even less - managed to get a good boy home in one piece today - but it was close - we are all quite tired and I am a bit banged up but will enjoy the ice cream we stole tonight. Hard and cynical though - I do not believe so - I believe it to be realistic - one must counter the effects of those who would cry when they get a splinter. Cheers Borg -
Sigh - you are right - I will just keep my money off shore as I have always done - and bring it in via credit card when needed. Makes for free travel advantages as well. Unfortunately I am of the opinion the government runs far too many operations that it should not be involved with. Taxes? To send to those places where the money is wasted? I could knock 40% off Canada's annual bill in a heart beat - but then again those who have been successfully socially re-engineered to NOT think for themselves would be devastated Yeah, you are right - it is futile Borg
