  1. Eco-terrorism is irrelevant to the subject at hand.
  2. And which of the groups involved in the suit are eco-terrorist organizations? I can't find any of them on the list of banned organizations, but maybe that will come if the Tories win in October?
  3. It should be a surprise that people who are generally completely distrustful of government to accomplish anything of value are such naifs when it comes to this kind of thing, but it's not. They never feel this stuff will impact their lives so they don't really care. It's just like abuses of power by law enforcement. The Marxist radicals at the Sierra Club I guess.
  4. Free Speech martyr directs minions to dox women.
  5. Nope, never heard of them.
  6. Do you have a cite? I've never heard of this guy.
  7. Win the World Series. Obviously.
  8. There's been some more trouble in Ferguson on the anniversary of the Michael Brown shooting. Cops shot a young man during a set of protests after he (police say) shot at them. The super SMRT police union also chose that day to declare "Darren Wilson Day". Then during the hubub a bunch of heavily-armed white dudes showed up at the protests to just....hang out? Which makes one wonder what would happen if a bunch of black dudes turned up openly carrying semi-automatic weapons and handguns. Just kidding! This is what happens when cops think black dudes are armed:
  9. Jays in first!
  10. But the over the top stuff is the whole point, not the ideas.
  11. I'm going to tonight's game. Getting on the bandwagon for the one team in Toronto I can cheer for in good conscience (because I don't really care if they fail).
  12. To that end, can we talk about the fact that he was wearing a wig when he got his beer bath? Like: what?
  13. I guess I was wrong: I shouldn't have said "gullible or stupid" when clearly it can be both. Big game hunting is small potatoes: the $500M South Africa earns represents about 0.04% of its GDP (it's also a fraction of what is generated by regular tourists) while 97% of that money never reaches local communities, let alone actual conservation or anti-poaching programs. And of course, as this Cecil case shows, the line between legal big game hunting and illegal hunting/poaching can be blurry, with the former serving as a smokescreen for the latter. But the core support of big game hunting is rich white guys with guns, so your slobbering, reflexive support is right in character.
  14. Yeah with all this exposure he might get as many as 50 people at his next event!
  15. Because they have nothing to be ashamed of.
  16. One would have to be pretty stupid or gullible to think that big game hunting does jack all for the local economy or conservation in these backwater places. I guarantee the bulk of the money these rich dicks pay for indulging their bloodlust goes straight into the pocket of whatever local official is handling the licensing and then on to Switzerland or the nearest Mercedes dealership.
  17. For someone who gets whingy whenever anyone follow your logic to make inferences about you or your beliefs, you're awful quick to make inferences about amorphous "others." But then, you've been doing that since you turned up here on your anti "SJYW" jihad. Why?
  18. What does the fact we have a progressive taxation system have to do with your premise, which is itself divorced from the subject of boutique tax credits?
  19. Cheap shale oil will kill the tarsands long before any politician does. Worry about that instead.
  20. In the privacy of your own vehicle? Yeah that's still a right. Which presupposes that everyone has the wherewithal to pursue a legal case, as well as the (huge, enormous) assumption that a cop would actually be held accountable in any meaningful way (other than incurring costs to be paid by the taxpayer). But again, this is beside the point.
  21. Yes, some people are asserting that people should exercise their rights, a concept that I guess is baffling to a fauxservative like you.
  22. All part of the weird overlap of the atheist/GamorGator/gynophobe/racist/anime enthusiast communities.
  23. Blah blah blah.Only the guilty have reason to fear blah blah blah. Funny how so many people who freak out about big government care not a whit for actual abuses by agents of the state. That you can look at an entire community with a profound distrust for agents of the state and decide that things would be fine if they just acquiesced to every demand, no matter how trivial, demeaning or even illegal. Thing is, I bet most people in over-policed heavily profiled minority communities understand the consequences of disobeying cops better than you or I. And they are also aware that obeying a cop doesn't necessarily mean you get an easy ride either.
