Trump got... exactly what was already offered last December. He also got a united Canada that no longer trusts the U.S. as an economic partner and that is actively looking for other markets to sell its resources because it doesn't trust the U.S. anymore. The U S. has jurisdiction over who enters their country. Why would the U.S. want Canada to tighten up who enters Canada from the U.S.?
