  1. The one that illustrates how Canada is going to be in twenty years of so is that tripe flick with Stallone and Snipes called "Demolition Man." It's so close to the direction the Liberals are steering our country that, unlike the movie itself, it is not funny
  2. As a right leaning person I have to keep the record straight as that is what we do best; Senator Clinton is spending the holidays in Iraq and Afganistan as well.
  3. To our American Neighbors, From the Soldiers on the Front Lines to the families on the road, may your loved ones come closer with each moment. To those who are at home with families, count your blessings and know that all of us wish you a Happy Turkey Day! Drew
  4. Looks like Bush has been taking lessons from Jean on how to buy votes with your children's money. Most Conservatives will eat this one for the time being as it ensures the War on Terror wil continue but all the Democrats need is a candidate that backs the action in Iraq and they might get in.
  5. Actually Right, he is not even acting withing the discussion but simply posting an essay of sorts. It's kind of insulting to us all as he appears to not address any of our posts.
  6. My fav is Bush giving rebuilding contracts to his cronies. It would be pretty silly if he gave them to his enemies, our enemies, people who were against the war, people who are against rebuilding Iraq and installing democracy now wouldn't it? I have an idea, find some companies that are not American, were pro liberation, and not tied to any country that is working against the US. Comon, anybody using this as some sort of argument give us some names. Furthermore, if I became president, should I help those who helped me win or those who were opposed to me becoming president? I think I would favor those who helped. I would certainly try to give contracts to all however, if there wasn't enough to go around then those who worked against me can have the crumbs
  7. Believe it or not, I was hoping to get a real article. This is slanted so badly that it is difficult to sort facts from rant. As an example it starts off implying that it is a genuine May 15 article then moves into how the the US Military hoodwinked the press without a beat. No names, ranks or identities of the reporters who were given the briefing were mentioned. I'm not being a stickler on purpose here, but don't feed me crap. And crap is what this report is, read it yourself with an objective mind and you will see what I mean. Then find an article that has detailed info of when, who, what, where and when without story bias. Questions that were asked, replies given and let us all decide for ourselves. Sometimes the left is their own worst enemy, I wouldn't in a lifetime consider this as evidence of anything because of all the obvious leanings. Please don't get me wrong, I, like many search for truth, this may be but in it's present form gives off the odor of a rant.
  8. I am not saying that somebody's fetus is a human as I am not saying that it is not. I know I would consider mine a human but I am not you or anybody else. I also think that it is wrong to take away a right from a woman. That all said, a fence sitter I am not. We all know that there is nothing right about abortion. Anybody that says there is I would consider insane. My dream solution is not to take away a right to have abortion or to outlaw it, but rather take away the need for it. In order to do this there is a lot of fronts that have to be attacked; economic, morality, education, support. Abortion I think, is not a problem within society but rather a symtom of a larger one.
  9. Did Iraq declare all it's WMD programes to the UN in accordance with Resolution 687 and 1441? This was of paramount importance to being in adherence with the ceasefire from the first Gulf War. No, they did not. . This is a continuation of the same war and therefore no declaration is necessary. I think you botched your premise.
  10. Riff, read my damm post before you quote it. It says that laws are already in place to take care of the problems you speak of. A suggestion, before you and the "New World Order Gestapo" come in to clean up the internet, try using those laws already in place to clean up the existing REAL problems, ie: murder, theft, idiots like Saddam, starvation, your hypothetical naked woman and such, not who is saying what in cyberspace.
  11. Yes Mien Furher. We are all animals with no brains. Can you save us from having to make decisions as well please? We are not talking about cat by-laws here, basic freedom of speech, freedom to assemble and move. Laws already are in place that prohibit theft, murder and interfering with other's freedoms. If the governments do not like what we, the free people of the planet invent to pass information then they can always just use tin cans and string to communicate, but leave us alone.
  12. I wasn't trying to save money here RB, my intent was to say that in order to stem abortions you have to think of the undesired economic and lifestlye changes that happen to teens if they do not have an abortion. One of the ways to negate this is to fire money at them. For the reasons you have shown it is possibly a losing proposition. Would the pro life crowd be willing to try and solve the problems you brought forth?
  13. Hugo I think you have the solution here, in theory anyhow. I always thought that money talked. If morality doesn't get through then another approach may. It needs a lot of work to be sure, but I like it a lot better than simply provding freedom for a being that is considered by many, not to be a human by taking freedom from one who we know is one. The pro life crowd can still educate and so forth but I think that here is an area that they also should concentrate on. They, no, we all should start to pressure the government to work on this problem from this direction. It, like you said, also crosses over into the realm of welfare. A system that stinks from the bottom to the top. Reflective of the "society owes me" mentality of our population in general is it any wonder why fetuses are considered a complicatin in life rather than a blessing?
  14. What about para 3c, subsection 4, to the charter of Dictatorial Rights in which it clearly states that yada yada yada ...... ..... and forthwith while enabling the killing of his own said people may, when presented with a situation whereby he/she/it must comply with .............. ............ and furthermore, allowing to engage in open debate while massing troops on ................ ...........shall be treated as an actual G8 nation even though he/she/it is running out of open ground in which to bury bodies killed by summary execution ............. ....clearly states that it is the RIGHT of said dictator to rape any person he/she/it chooses ...........
  15. I predicted this a few years back. I called it "errosion of personal freedoms and rights." At the time it was in response to C 68 and used it as an example of how the government does the old "divide and conquer" thing. Gun owners are a small minority, nobody will really miss them as nobody will miss smokers as nobody will miss those who go to strip bars as nobody will miss a political forum. To a guy on the net who does not hunt C 68 means nothing, and will not defend his right. So gun owners are a minority. Most hunters are not on the net so wil likely not bother to defend this new wave of attack on freedom as they are too busy dealing with their own swamp full of crodadilles. A smoker may or may not hunt but is unlikely t be defended by other groups as they are deemed unworthy of defense of their freedoms. A political forum? Very small minority. Watch, the nature of a government is to continue to errode rights, to bring the flock into the safety of the pen. One by one they will all fall separately.
  16. Sorry Farris, you are right and I posted maliciously and appoligise, glad we settled it before too much time elapsed. I'm not a hard core right winger. I don't (at this time) think that Saddam was a real threat in the conventional sense of the word. Rather he is kind of like the wrapping on the jigsaw puzzle, just one of the things you have to deal with to start putting it all together. Like the wrapper, it's in the way of solving the problem and is garbage to be thrown away.
  17. Ah, got it. Not the defense of NATO then, (like it's mandate dictates) but rather "premption"?
  18. "Sistahs doing it for themselves" - Sister Sledge circa 1978 The lawyer had a grudge against the regieme, they took out his daughter's lung after deliberately misdiagnosing it for a disease. The thing was then given to a reigime officials kid.
  19. And Kay is securing a country so the US can oull out in a year's time. If he finds what you are looking for he'll send you a fax, in the meantime if you are so interested in finding the stuff yourself, give him a hand.
  20. Pay attentiion yourself professor. Not much of an outcry for a story that according to you is tantamount to hijacking the minds of the American people. Like I said, blame the press. Is investigative journalism dead here or what? Direct quotes. Hmmm, now the journalists are getting fed the news wheras before they were reporting it. They never complained? Like I said, the way you portray it it amounts to the destruction of all America stands for, make a hell of a story. It hasn't been reported as such so far though for a good reason; the press made it after getting briefed erroniously. Tell you what, you show me a reliable source that says that the press had nothing to do with JL until they were spoon fed the story. Then show me how they asked no questions, but simply ran with it as the brass kept on feeding them with body counts of JL playing Rambo and so on and forth. Show me where this was anything more than a egar press running with a story before they had verified it. Show me this and I will say that the Pentagon (a non prtisan organisation) is fabricating it's own press and then ask why nobody except you and a few others cares about this loss of freedom of the press. I know I would.
  21. Prove your claim. The following persons were elected to the Stop the War Coalition Steering Committee in 2001: I checked a few out by actually going to the website of their organisation. Even the begnign ones has socialists everywhere. Other agenda? Seeing as how they only come out when the USA is involved and ignoring other atrocities such as Saddam killing his own, others (Kuwait, Iran, Saudi) and seem to be too busy to protest things like Bali, 911, Turkey and so on I think it safe to say that many, if not all have other agendas. BTW, where were they when Saddam was filling the mass-unmarked-graves that the US is finding everywhere?
  22. So which is it? CIA gives good intelligence or bad? When I point our Kay's report you deem him a pupet of the CIA and when you say a general statement it is from the same source we are to take it as chisled in stone. Farris, I went over this in another thread. I'll condense for you. WMD were an excuse to take Saddam out. That's it. Your first heads up was when the US started talking about "Regieme Change" rather than "Disarmament." I know your whole argument on whether the US is good or bad hinges on them not finding WMD but that was not the reason for the action in the first place. However, if you are intent on persuing the WMD thing then be aware that Kay has found enough to vindicate the US action. Yes, Saddam was not allowed to have anything and so far all sorts of things have turned up. You don't accept that evidence as it comes from Kay? Why is Kay in Iraq? To secure the material so that it is not reconstituted. Not trying to save Bush from a bunch of ponytailed Socialist/Islamic Fundementalist peace activists. In short seeding Democracy was the objective. To make a prosperous Iraq a symbol of what democracy can bring to the Middle East and stop terrorism from having a place to grow. An example. Other than the American Civil war, when was the last time a democracy declared war on another democracy?
  23. Of course it does. If one is too rigid to adapt then they might want to take some lessons in 'Flexibility 101.' Positions for Penguin Anthropologists are somewhat limited in a society where the focus is on commercial productivity, however some of the migratory patterns of animals can be crossed referenced into urban and human movements I'm sure. Just need to take a few extra classes.
  24. However, it has been proven that freedom of sexual preference can trump freedom of religion.
  25. Or just acknowledge that wages are going up. Or am I the only person in North America who is better off now than I was ten years ago? BTW, I'm not a Billionaire.
