  1. Carrolyn Parish - a symbol of smarmy Canadian misjugement and ineffectualism. A statue of her should adorn both Parlament Hill and our embassy in America so that all who think we stand for anything will see her and know different.
  2. Oh, I didn't know that Bush killed three hundred thousand Americans, eight hundred thousand Iranians.\ all in the name of personal gain to ensure that the two term limit is thrown out to enable him to be king of America for life. Or was it Regan who is still King of America? You don't see a difference between weilding power to enslave and power to do what you think is right? I sure do and that is why you and I can talk here on this internet. In Iraq and countries like it you can't. Don't try to tell me that there was any type of dissent there. There sure is here, reason? Because America and it's war criminals are only war criminals to people like you who need some feeble excuse to rationalize their reasons for not agreeing with them. . Pick a war Riff. Right now we are in Iraq. When it all dies down we can get down to the nicities and all. Unless of course you want the US to invade the world just to make things fair all around. I personally think that the bad guys are getting the message. Lybia and Iran seem to be much more agreeable these days. All without firing a shot. One more point scince we are doing it in pairs, when was the last time the loser held war crimes trials with the victors as defendants? Why did the US invade Iraq? Hmm. Well, I've blown the oil falicy out of the water a dozen times, same with the rebuilding one. You say there was never any WMDs there so what is left? The rest of your counter points are simply red herrings that we have discussed as nauseum in other threads.
  3. 13 US Cops killed by gangs in a decade? Must be one of the safest jobs in the world. Probably more died of rectal cancer or from bad bagel dough. The figures have to be wrong. Freedom of speach and thought is allowed. Leadership is an art. An ability to influence others so that they desire to perform in a certain way. People without a leader often act in ways counter to the desire of normalacy. Frequently violent and anti social. Know any leaders? These kids do. They're the one's singing.
  4. No, I think that here is a no brainer. Get rid of the Queen's Representative in Canada. Unless of course we have to worry about Her Royal Highness's Troops cutting our heads off if we do. I don't so let's save a buck and get rid of the figurhead so we can throw her salary at the playing Afgan kids. Sides, it would be nice to see Adiranne working again, she would probably have a cleaner consience too.
  5. The US went into Iraq to seed democracy. They did not go to get rid of WMD or to erase Al Qeda bases. There was an SOB who was pulling their chain, killing his people, raising fears about the stability of the world's oil supply and gererally tying up a lot of US money and forces to contain him. When 911 happened it was clear that they had to start somewhere to Democratise the Middle East so that the cycle of backward, oppressive, poverty that is traditional Dictatorial Islam could be broken. Iraq was the place. A dictator that wouldn't be missed by either neighbors or people, an excuse - 12 of them, an ultimatum they knew he would refuse, a resource that could rebuild the country, lots of nighbors and others that would buy it and a relatively modern and educated people with which to do it with. What, I wonder is so hard for the left to understand about this? Sure, it's in the US's interest. It'salso in everybody's interest as well, mostely the Iraqis. Anyhow, Saddam will not be tried by a US court. An international court or any other court system other than a FREELY ELECTED IRAQI Court. It's part of the whole vision, the whole message for the Dictators of the world. The message is crystal clear when it happens: 'We, the free people of Iraq, find you, Saddam Hussien, guilty of murder and violence against those who you were entrusted to protect." "The old ways are gone, gone are the days where it is accepatble for those like you to enslave others ...." And those who are like Saddam will listen or fall like him. There will be no drawn out counter argumanets as in the UN courts and stuff. Simple justice by some good elected officials who will hear the case as best they can with as little predjudice as possible. I personally hope they spare him and give him hard labor for life, no parole in order to send another message to the Islamic world - human life is so valuable we grant it to the worst of society. I doubt it though but it would be a democratic departure from the 'draw and quarter' mentality which prevails Islamic Justice. They will not try him until they have a freely elected government. To do otherwise is to send a message to the world that Iraq is a puppet of the USA. The one reason the US went in there was to get rid of a dictator and free a country, not to enslave it. All this talk about International Court and stuff is not even in the realm of the thinkable. Even if Saddam had assiasinated Bush senior he would still not go anywhere but in front of his fellow Iraqis.
  6. Name a place that does or has not done business with America. Name a place that does not hoard US currency. Name a place that does not have an American made item in it's pocession. A place that has not asked America for something or offered it something. Two thirds of the world is dictatorship ruled. Why is it such a revalation to you that America does business with dictators? It's like if you lived in China Town and never did business with an Oriental. You really got to get off this dictatorship shtick. In case you havn't noticed, America is in the process of fixing some of it's past mistakes. Guys like you and your new buddy John should be waving an American flag for all the right stuff they're doing now.
  7. Is your question a question or a statement? Typical of people with no argument is to overload and evade. Get to the point, do you really wonder why there is a code orange over the holidays (a traditional time for an enemy to attack another) or is it that the invasion of Iraq is unjustified? If it is the first then stick with it and if the second please read the previous twelve months of threads. If you wish to discuss the necessity of code orange then lets do that.
  8. That is comic relief Craig! Jennings, what a goodbuddy he is! BTW, I'd like to find some more idiocy comments from the past that are now long proved crap. How did you come up with these?
  9. iI'm a lone woman mounter that has an allergy to wearing rolls of bathroom towel on my head. I'm not able to comprehend more than one official language past rudementry phrases and my system goes into convulsions when subjected to canibis pollution. I do feel that Time has done the correct thing in that it's political correctness has become more important than reporting what is affecting the Continent and World. True to form, it caters to it's target audience, Homos, Dykes, Oppressed Welfare Recipients, Leftist Radicals and all those who are sending this Nation into Socialism through a vote buying Liberal Party scam. When I am in my dentist's office waiting it provides a nice, light, totally unrealistic change to the hard nose journalism of, say .... Canadian Gardening Magazine. Being a bum boy for the Liberals and Democrats. Time continually proves that the cancelled subscription has saved me countless hours of fantasy reporting, reading and allowed me hundreds of dollars that I spend on various other NEWS magazines both here and abroad in my travells. They Rock Not!
  10. What's wrong with you lefties? Must be too much egg nogg or something. Here's a great Christmas Gift for you to throw around and you miss it. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE OF THE POLE SMOKING TRIPE FROM MARGOLIS
  11. LoniusFleaBag Ya, the US is a regular Springer show. Like the following rogues gallery, all they want is cheap shopping at Wal Mart. To them, freedom and humanity is only a glib shtick. Just wondering, scince the US and a select few seem to be the only ones carrying any weight, what makes you think they should be doing anything that is not in their interest? In your world does the University give out diplomas to people that never finish grade two? Do people that have no social skills get to go out with the prom queen? Does a man who has no skills, no experience, no motivation and no morals automatically get to become CEO of Dofasco? Now I also have to ask you why. Why would America be expected to help a world that hates them? Myself, I would place my priorities with those that endanger me, those that blatently need my help and finally with those that ask for it. Under no circumstances would I do anything for somebody that hates me and has no intention of co-operating with me and even publicly works against me. In all, I figure America has it right, for the right reasons. One last thing Lonius. Merry Christmas to you and yours. I hope that it's a peaceful one and that your family is together. Drew
  12. 'The Humanity!'
  13. These leftist clowns have been wrong about so much it's difficult to even call them reporters. They wouldn't even make it as a weather man when it was about to rain. Why anybody listens to them I'll never know. I only wish that we had acess to old opinion pieces, I wish I had saved them so that I could throw them out to show how off track these idiots are. After being bogged down, embroiled in another Viet Nam and had thousands of US soldiers killed in 'house to house' fighting they are worried about Saddam and if he is getting treated right. Anything to make the US look bad.
  14. The UN has stopped being a useless crud bucket and actually crossed over into being a threat to world peace when it didn't have the nuts to back up its own resolutions. It forced the US to take the lead and oust that turd Saddam when all it would have taken was an UNMISTAKABLE message that the garbage he was pulling was not on. If the UN had done what it was supposed to do and ENFORCE it's own rulings then today the US would be $500 Billion to the good and hundreds of US soldiers would never have had to make the trip and die. What's the point of rules when you don't plan on enforcing them? Not much. Matter of fact, they send a clear, stark message out to everybody: ah, duh, I wonder if I can get away with .... ah, duh, I probably can ... Like has anybody ever heard the term "good fences make good nieghbors?" "Line in the sand?" "This is this" and so on? Clear, unmuddled rules! No hit and miss with policy, you know where you stand and temptation is removed from every clown looking for a loophole. You know loopholes, the ones that allow a dictator to flaunt tens of resolutions with the confidence that he has umpteen more chances if called on any of them? The kind that allow him to hide this but not that? Do that but only a little of this. Nah, the UN is a liability to those of the world that would get stuff done. Those who don't like what the US is doing have only to do something themselves, like disarm Korea, find OBL and cause a massive outbreak of peaceaphilia throughout the globe, before the US does. The UN is far from harmless in my books. It is the biggest threat to world peace today.
  15. Really. It's crud. They proved it when they made Gulianni man of the year 2000. Like how did he change my life? Not one iota. Osama on the other hand changed every person's life on the entire planet. Today the US spends so much effort in War and Peace, in Iraq and homeland Defense because of OBL. Guliani? Who?: Time once again, proves why I buy Newsweek.
  16. Lonius, surely you are not so simple as to underestimate the imortence of actually being able to bind the country together with a dependable land route? That is what built Canada, that's what made the Roman empire. Trade, military movement, safeguarding the far reaches of Afganistan. Without a means to project government rule the Warlords carry on as if nothing has happened, complete anarcy. Without it no polls can be taken, no way of moving ballots and such. Surely you know this and are just being a smarmy guy in jest? BTW, where are the WMD that Michael Moore says are in Iraq?
  17. And to all those of the left, Happy Holidays!! Actually, the word holiday means HOLY - DAY. So even that is blasphamy to a true athiest. In the story below, scenes of the Nativity were replaced by pagan idols of trees, snowmen and some God named Santa. Sinners all and should be burned at the stake of political correctness. NOTHIN' MEANS NOTHIN' ANYMORE
  18. So the US is like Hitler in that it gasses Jews? Only one or two though? Or are they like Stalin in that they purge a couple of people? What are you talking about, first you equate the US to Hitler and now you say that the numbers are wrong but they are like him?
  19. It's a discussion board. I replied to a post that was a topic starter. Welcome aboard!
  20. What's hilarious is that Mohmar is a pussy compared to Saddam. He admitted to having all sorts of WMD lying around and he never planned on attacking anybody except through terrorism. On the other hand, Saddam did everything he could to conquer the Middle east and on a scale of one to ten, his co-operation with UN inspections was at best a two. And the left figures it is a stretch for Bush to say Saddam had WMD. That's SNL material.
  21. Well here we are, years later, wating for an attack on US soil. Waiting for Al Queda to do what they say they will do. And all we get are more of the same old 'Months late, delivered by slow camel, ambiguous verbal rhetoric crap spewings' from a leader in hiding. For a bunch of guys that are striking fear into our hearts, why are they in hiding? MORE OF THE SAME LINK FOR LOSERS OK, let's see. Two years to plan an attack that does more harm to fellow Muslims than Americans. Then they lose a few operatives. Leaders in hiding, ineffective terrorits attacks, being captured and decommissioned left and right? These guys ROCK!
  22. Those 'Fat cats' will no longer be in Canada. They will leave quickly like a ship deserting a sinking rat taking their wealth with them before you can touch it. An extremely bad financial move. Thats one out of every thirty Canadians. One out of eight or so working age people. One out of four males aged 18 - 25. Who is going to be left to make the money to support this army? They have a food shortage because they spend all their resources on those tanks and military equipment. They are highly unlikely to change their philosophy overnight and sell their power for pennies on the dollar in order to feed the very people they purposfully starved to buy the equipment in the first place. We have a lot of dead in Korea that gave their lives to keep the communists from leaving Korea. Now you would ask them to come here to help with our defense? And we would really be a bannana republic then. Assuming of course that the US didn't see us as a threat long before and 'Regieme Change' our ass. Although given the sad state that we would be in at that point the population would likely welcome some form of intervention from anybody even if it meant being occupied by a foreign country. Scince MAD is still in effect somwhat with Russia and China, I think that you and your military would then become a definite threat to the USA and world stability. As it is, there is a very big difference between Kim Jong (unelected insane ruler of a brutal regieme for life) and an elected President looking at one more four year term. All in all though, as a right wing conservative, I agree with strengthening our military but not at the expense of destroying our country, and possibly setting it up for pre-emptive attack by the US or even the UN if it ever develops a backbone.
  23. You don't know that, you think that. Recent events in Iraq point to the opposite. By the time the US has finished in Iraq, they will have spent almost five hundred billion dollars, an amount they can never recover from Iraq in the form of goods, oil or cash. Could it be that they were actually trying to stabilise Iraq so that it would be one less place for terrorism to ferment? I suppose that yes, that if sucessful that has the indirect bonus of freeing up US assets to acomplish other things such as doing the same to some other country or even turning out more products at home to make more money. As a secondary effect, it benifits all mankind by taking out a dictator and replacing a non porductive country with a productive one. As an initial effect however, it is not as you say. Furthermore, even if it was, is it not a government's responsibility to take care of it's own first? Let's see, pretend you were a superpower and din't give a damm. All you wanted was money and power. I would tell Saddam to leave or I was going to invade and then invade. No pretext, no reason, just go. If I saw a civilian or a soldier, I would shoot. I would drop a Nuke on a small city to show them I meant business and then using the former Regeime infastructure, enslave the population and start pumping oil into French tankers, pocketing the money. I wouldn't waste time trying to build anything resembling a democracy, wouldn't bother to form a police force or a military and I would be setting up to invade Canada as well to do the same to it's population. Britain would help us take over Scandinavia and we would just keep going from there. Might even drop a nuke on North Korea just so we could free up some troops in the South. Isn't it amazing how cheap things can be when you don't care? Lonius Lonius, the US has not done this amount of human damage or suffering. Why do you equate them to the Nazis?
  24. Yes, as I said, techniques that are not used in mainstream US interrogations. You see people disappear when they go to the local police station? How about police being charged with brutality? How about the Lt Colonel that was charged with torture? As I said, not in the mainstream US policy. And when his term is up in four years he gets to keep it? Where is your proof that he wishes to control the world? Where is your proof that a stable, democratic and prosperous Iraq is not a good thing for peace in that region of the world? Why do you think that it is rigteousness rather than common sense? If you had said that he wishes the US control the world with him at the helm for the next four years, that wouldn't even wash.
  25. Lonius, that's not what we were discussing. Torture in the west is a lot different than torture in the east. More physcological, less trumatic, some would be hard put to call it torture. To force sleep deprivation on a POW to extract an answer or two is not torture even by the standards of a POW that happens to be American. Neither is drugs and loud music, all of which are favorites of the CIA. Not even in the same galaxy as your comment of: Methods that are not used in mainstream US interrogations such as beatings, dismemberments, raping of relatives and children in front of prisoners, electrocution, burning, acid poured on genetilia, blinding, being lowered into paper shredders are commonly reffered to as torture and are hardly what the US carries out on high profile prisoners who have been photographed by the international press. That might be the impression you see but you know as well as I do that this is not the case even in the loosest reality. "Torture and eradicate your enemies?" Wow, Lonious, do you even know who the enemy is? Bet you would say the Arab world if I let this post go. It's not. It's oppression, ignorence. The kind of oppression used by dictators and religious leaders in the third world, the kind of ignorence they keep their people in by not allowing freedom of speech. The freedom of speech that lets them see Saddam being captured, US sodiers being killed by insurgents, bombs going off in Baghdad, schools being built in Basra. You know, bad and good. Hitler and Stalin? Let's try and keep this on a level of reality. Just for one moment try to think of what a 21st century Hitler or Stalin does. Is it anything like USA building a school in Basra or freeing a country of a regieme firmly entrenched for 30 years by taking extra ordinary efforts to inflict minimum civillian casualties? Nope, Hitler would have levelled the place with a few A bombs as would Stalin and dropped a couple on Iran to send a message to be scared and stay away. Then started pumping using slave labor. Simultaniously they would have adjusted a few nukes towards France to let them know they wern't welcome and then prepared to move onto Saudi. Kuwait would just surrender. This is not even fasisim in the loosest sense however the comparisson of Hitler and Stalin is indicitive of the leftist rhetoric that makes them look like idiots. It's akin to the right saying that Saddam is a bum buddy of Danny Glover and he and Sean Penn pray together on Saturdays. It's just ridiculous, has absolutly no foundation in reality and just makes serious dialogue impossible. Hitler - 6 million deliberate deaths would have killed more if not stopped. - purpose, to be a poster child of every Liberal in Canada Stalin - 20 million deliberate deaths would have taken over the planet if allowed - purpose, to take over the planet and to force Liberals to love him at the end of a gun Bush - 3 - 7 thousand unintentional deaths faces an election and may not be leader in a year. - purpose, to remove a breeding ground for terrorists in at least one corner of the ME, and to make Liberals look really really dumb - purpose - free Iraq and place a democratic Arab country complete with industiral complex in the heart of the ME
