  1. Did you notice how at one point humans were in little pockets? Goes along way to explaining why there is such diversity. Isolated groups, creating genentic lineages that became the different races we know today. Did you catch in the 2nd link where the Europeans and their modern weaponry, the clovis spear point, were thought to be responsible for wiping out most of the large animals? 15,000 or 500yrs ago somethings never change. This is who we are. We are ALL immigrants to this continent.
  2. That must have hurt. Sorry for laughing but after seeing this I had to check the weather in Hell. Just to see if anything was frozen.
  3. LEt's see, I have brought forth scientific evidence to back up my claim, while you offer nothing but your own oppinion. Where has the Bering strait theory been debunked? DNA suggests otherwise. There were definitly multiple migrations from Asia into North America. You want to dismiss DNA evidence? Just what kind of crackpot are you? You a member of the flat earth society or something? Do you still believe the Earth is carried on the back of a giant Turtle?
  4. 60,000 years in America? Human Migration The Kennewick Man can blow goats. Let's talk DNA. European/Native DNA link
  5. So should I take offense if I am asked if I am "Canadian"? I was asked that. Less than two weeks ago. My job put me in contact with a large international group. The girl that asked me was from Iran who was here to get a good education and then planned on returning home. Now most of my family has been on this continent for over 200yrs. I am a direct decendant of a "Native" American. (unless you believe they spang out of the earth they are immigrants too.) So I took absolutly no offense to being asked if I was "Canadian" since I believe I am just about as Canadian as you can get. But most of my heritage is English, Irish and Scottish. I mean no offense when I ask "Where are you from?" Ofcourse I tend to phrase it as "Where does your family come from?" We Are a multicultural country. Everybody comes from somewhere. YEs even the "Natives" who not only come from atleast 2 migrations from Asia but some also have European blood from 14,000yrs ago. So to ask someone where they are from, is not an insult but a chance to share their culture. Perhaps discuss issues/events past or present occuring in their former homeland. If I were to add up all the time I have spent talking to people about where they or their family are from I would have easily a month or two on my hands(including sleeping). It is part of what makes this country great.
  6. You can search my posts and find I am more likely politically aligned with the poster I'm "take(ing) to Task". Hilter/Holocaust is an automatic disqualification. Soviet era propoganda, is not far off everyday American propoganda. To say someone would deny the holocaust is immediate failure.
  7. OK You brought up Hitler/Holocaust. You automatically lose. Keep doing what you are doing. Eventually enough people will get pissed off and the hammer will come down.
  8. "Lefty" Give me a break. Any free thinking person can see the double standard here. Drawing aline between political leanings is stupid. This is far beyond partisan politics.
  9. If you want to call arson a peaceful protest. Is this the same law you flaunt when committing arson and assault? Does it subtract the expenditures the GOvt. has made on behalf of the native? Lack of tax revenue from property and education taxes? As well as the money from hunting and fishing licenses? The taxes on all purchases made by a native during those 200 years? The only reason Canada is in the wrong is because there is still enough public sentiment to make it so. Keep pissing off the public and that sentiment is going to change. Soon Canada won't be in the wrong because the majority of it's populace says it isn't in the wrong. Try and grasp the big picture here. Your antics are only tolerated because poeple have sympathy for you. Keep pissing us off 1 by 1 and the landscape will change.
  10. Exactly. At the G20 I saw a lot of non-natives gettin their arses tossed in jail. While at an armed stand of of natives nothing is done. It doesn't matter if it is in the constitution or not. Discrimination is discrimination. Once you give special rights to a group based on race, religion, age, sex or any reason it is discrimination. So does your calculaions take into account the Crash of '29 and the Depression of the 1930's?Any money held in trust would surely have been invested. Certainly there was a huge loss of equity. HEy I'm not saying compensation isn't due. But an armed occupation is going to make me vote for the guy who'll call in the military.
  11. My credibility is not in question. I think they should care about how I view them and their struggle. I do vote. Big difference in voting someone in who wants to use the military versus someone who wants to negotiate a fair settlement. Arson and assault are not tools of the righteous. You have the right to protest. Use it. Educate people. When I see this crap on the News all it does is detract from the Natives and their cause. Your tactics will come back to bite you. What goes around comes around. At some point a group will try this illegal action in the wrong place and the entire Native population will lose. Complete assimilation. Taxes for everyone. No preferential treatment of a certain race. Equality all around. Even if you alienate people one by one eventually they will make up the majority and there will be a backlash. Personally I can't understand why new immigrants aren't completely pissed at the benifits Natives recieve. I am part Native and my Wife qualifies for a status card, but step back and look at the whole picture. Armed occupation serves no one in the long run.
  12. I gotta laugh at these people in power thinking they are fulfilling the biblical prophecies by recreating Isreal. This is a situation entirely created by the western powers. The whole situation is stupid. This is an issue that never should have been.
  13. WHile I respect a groups right to protest, I cannot help but wonder what would happen if myself and a few dozen people blockaded a road and burnt houses and the such. I am pretty sure the police would have tear gassed us, rushed in and put us all under arrest. To treat one group of people any different, ie. Give them privledges not afforded to others, is discrimination. If we want to start adding up money, vis a vis the "trust fund" v. "expenses, taxes etc." I find the idea of hundreds of billions of dollars being owed to be a total joke. I am not saying that there might not be a few billion that is owed, but upwards of 1 trillion is lunacy. I cannot go to the person who bought 1/2 of my great grandfathers farm and tell him he now owes me the additional $745,000 that the land is now worth, plus the compounded interest on that money. BAck to Caledonia, I agree with Argus that it is the Tactics being used that are the issue. I cannot have sympathy for a group that quotes laws and treaties and then breaks the law at every turn trying to get it's message heard. To hold an entire community hostage is dispicable. To commit multiple acts of arson, vandalism and assault and then expect people to listen to you is laughable. The Tactics being used by the Natives have destroyed their credibility, and cost them my sympathy.
  14. At the very least the quote in Shady's sig should indicate that the answer is not finished with a simple YES. Even "Yes...", would be a much more honest representation of what was said.
  15. Thats funny because that is how most hardline conservatives I meet think. Why the hell should they foot the bill for your surgery? OR pay for your kids education? Screw the unions, give me my money and piss off.
  16. The rich have it better. Always have, always will. I know if I had the money for a heart procedure I needed, I would pay to get the first available operating table.
  17. It's called a J-O-B. I've been on both sides of the fence and there is nothing better for the bank account than a steady job.
  18. I am thinking the correct title to this thread would be the Word of Man. Man wrote it. Most of it centuries after the fact. Think of a game of broken telephone that goes on for centuries before someone decides to write down the message.
  19. Man you are on fire lately. Where is the money? Money is such a mundane concept. How about a can of Coke for every kid in the world?
  20. Stop it. I'm still laughing from the first time I read it. And no replys of "Read what? ______?
  21. The women were crying because he is OFFICIALLY off the market. The wife will have him wearing a GPS and a shock collar before this all done with. The men were crying because now their hero is gone. There was a man who told his wife he was going golfing from Thursday to Sunday no matter what she said. Now a humble man mumbles something about returning to golf someday. *sniff* Truly a tragedy.
  22. JUst who the HELL do you think allowed everything to get so bad in the USA? Giving a free hand to the TYPE A, greedy, gimme gimme, Wall Street types has done wonders for your housing markets and economy as a whole hasn't it? Wanna buy a house in Detroit? No? Didn't think so. How about Phoenix? You have entire portions of your biggest Cities that are becoming ghost towns, and you are missing the idiot who put you there!?!? Forget "GOD BLESS", "GOD HELP THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA."
  23. A girl asks her doctor: Could I have got pregnant from sitting on a toilet seat? Doctor says: Sure, as long as there was a boy between you and the seat. Joseph is a mystery. So much of what was originally written was thrown away, when the secular Christians got toether to make one manuscript that all could follow. Trying to find the bits of truth throughout the bible is the difficulty. As you said the leaders have turned the religion into something Fantastic. I believe that one popular theory is that Joseph and Mary were Ethiopian. Which would make Jesus black. I hope that doesn't bother you. But the description of his hair fits. Hair like that of a sheep. Now what is more like a sheep's hair? The long blond locks that we see adorn the Jesus in every picture and statue around the world, or the tight curls of someone who is Black? Serioulsly how dumb is the idea that a guy born 2000 years ago in the middle East was blond? All the blond people were in Northern Europe and the British Isle's. NOw back to Joseph. IF he led Mary across ethoipia up to Isreal, he had to be a heck of a man. That is one heck of a treck to make on foot. You are absolutly right in that we need to know more about this man.
