  1. Lol!!! Man you know you're a canadian when..
  2. I agree. That would be a great thing that would show the world the direction we need to go in. Becuase we DO need to go in that direction. What will happen to Harper in the polls? And if that happened maybe local muslims would try to kill him because for sure there would be a fatwah issued against him from the middle east. I'm being serious.
  3. When I heard about this I thought 'gee that's a lot of money'. Just think of how much 1.4B really is. That could probably put 2 additional MRI treatment centers in each Canadian city from Halifax to Victoria. I mean.. what land in North Quebec is entitled to 1.4 Billion?? It couldn't be the our gov't is using our tax dollars to buy votes?
  4. See people aren't seeing the bigger picture. People are only sing the 'big' picture. But there's a deeper bigger picture of what took place. People are saying that we are righteous becuase we discuss issues yadda yadda. Well I do believe there is a line between discussion, and *giving in*. What is happening is that we are giving in. We are not respecting our own rules; whether is the policy of an RCMP uniform, or introduction of Shariah law. Shariah law flies in the face of what Canada was founded on. And yes, save the argument, Canada *was* founded Judeo/Christian values and morals which we in the west based our laws after. Here we have a Jewish area which Palistinians are not allowed to be. But no. They have to break the rules and cause trouble. They had to make a statement. Instead of BENDING OVER for these Palistian girls, they stood up and protected their rules and laws! They deserve credit for that and I give them credit for protecting and valueing their own laws. When a terrorist attack finally happens here in Canada, only then people will begin to realize the mistakes we've made letting stonage cultures in Canada with no work prospects and allowed to sponsor in 'just anyone'. They are constantly working on taking over Canada. Slowely year by year. We have Sikh Canadian stamps, we have an exibit of 'Islam' and 'South Asia' in our Ontario musium, we have elected Mulsim and South Asian representatives in our house of commons who cannot sing the national anthem when it plays. We have LMOTP airing with huge ratings. We are funding punjabi speaking schools in BC where non sikh people are allowed to join. We are doleing out 30 million dollars a year to 'ethnic' groups and mosques in Ontario. We have the Islamic Congress of Canada giving grants to students who choose to go into Media or Journalism so Islamic voices can slant our media. And yes, we have terrorists with links back home. Many terrorists of all kinds and cultures. And they are working day by day to gain more control of Canada. Stats show their children born here do not even consider themselves Canadian. They have no loyalties to Canada and our way of life. And that little girl took a stand for people wandering into their land and trying to change their laws. Good for her.
  5. But they smoke much more.
  6. IF the gov't taxes you into poverty you won't have a job and there wont be an economy to take taxes from. Look. Canada deals with about 500B in taxes a year. About 25% goes into healtchare. I'm suggesting that for healtchare to succeed we need to put tripple that amount into healthcare which of course is not possible. Canada is not 'rich' enough to fix our healthcare system - be honest - it's barnkrupt and broken. Time to move on with our only solution to help better our system.
  7. That's what REALLY sickening. Not my post, but your statement above.
  8. No. They were on Jewish land and they weren't supposed to be there. They say it in the video. But I love your wording though. You word it very carefully to say that you support Isreals right to be there, but that's it. Nothing about the attacks, nothing about anything else. Just a carefully worded statement made not to reveal your real feelings on the matter. Just 'yaeh I support their existsanace'. Typical, self hating, pro-Islam, Innocent Little Mosque on the Prarie, die waiting for healthcare and it's 'ya deserve it!' attitude. And I assume you also love our free healthcare and hospital wait times. Oh and it's our fault that we get sick so we should die. Typical, typical canuck. Ok. I bet if Canadians were to choose who they would have living: A little Muslim buy from Palistine or a little Canadian boy, I would wager my house and car that about 30% of Canadians would rather have death to the Canadian boy. It's a self hating left wing cancer that has been placed in Canadians from years of losers in power and the CBC. I say no more. No more being fair. No more trying to please everyone.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8jmmQBf4GQ I support Israel And our PM for supporting Israel I was happy to see the girl protecting her homeland and shoo'ing people out that shouldn't be there. I feel Israel is the greates place on earth and a great country. It's a shame that it has to put all its money into military and weapons and to defend from terrorists wack jobs.. Many which reside in Canada i might add. Actually you know what, I support Harper for only 2 things: 1) The GST cut. 2) Supporting Israel. I'm just shocked how that could cuase him to plumet in polls when the Liberals didn't even have a leader. Canadians and the CBC are pro-Islam as well as many here on this forum. It's the Canadian way. You must be anti-Canadian, self-hating, hate Jews, and defend the enemy - ie: Terrorists. One person asked why there wasn't Jewish protests with 50,000 people marching the streets of Toronto like there were Muslims during the time Israel was DEFENDING ITSELF against terrorist wackjobs launcing missles. The reply was: "We obviously care about the situation.. but we're just too busy working and going to school". Why Canada willingly lets in people who may do us harm and who a have a much higher than usual unemployment rate (see uk studies, see Arars family as an example) - I don't know. We have to start making unplolurar choices soon before my 'I told you so' post happens.
  10. I just recommended that you should try it. Well it depends how high you are. You certainly can fall over, the room can spin, and you can even get motion sickness and throw up. All the above happened to me on more than one accasion so I know that motor skills can definately be impaired when smoking up. ,Well at least you are big enough to be honest here on the forums and admit that you drive under the influence. Part of enjoying life is being at your potential. Most here like to be impaired also. But weed is not widely used regularely for many reasons. I tried way back and it did nothing but give me insomnia and make me slow and dumb most of the time. Drinks just don't do that sort of thing. I'm the type of dude that is into trying new things adn I'm sure you too. How about for the next three days, you buy 3 bottles of wine at $7 each. Don't smoke any weed. When the time comes that you need to smoke, have the drinks instead and smoke ciggarettes or something. Or roll some tobacco. Drink the wine on an empty stomach. After 2 glasses you'll have a great buzz going. But you have to do it for 3 days. AFTER 3 days of this, your mind will become clearer and you'll feel real alert and great. You'll feel hyper and energized. Then come back here and take a look at some of the things you wrote. Then you'll see what I was talking about. You should atleast try it. There's no fun in smoking if your not willing to give it up for a bit. And you just might like the drinks more. And BTW, these two glasses of wine are proven countless times to be beneficial to your health. Everyone knows this. Weed is simply not beneficial to your mind state and physical health. It's don't nothing but costing you money and holding your back. Try for 3 days and you'll see.
  11. Yes now that I'm older I would probably go if a geenie could grant my wish and I could move my life there to work and then retire. It would be like a dream come true. But that's just a dream. Their system is designed to keep people like me out. They only want the best of the best in the world. I'm definately not that.
  12. I've been around countless developers. I have never met a brilliant developer from India. Anywhere else yes, not India. I feel they are very poor developers actually. Chinese also fairly poor developers. Arabs are good actually. Russians are VERY good. Germans are very good. French are good too. India I would place at the bottom easily. Spanish middle ground. The absolute best developers in the world are Brits, Canadians (second gen and up), and Americans. I say that without a doubt seeing as I've had to work with so many people from all cultures for so many years.
  13. Yes I have several times. This is becuase their credentials don't hold value here. Not becuase we distrust the paper, but becuase over a quick amount of time employers have learned that immigrant employees in general are usually not good value to the company and sometimes even have an opposite effect - ie: 2 Canadian software developers can develop a solution faster than if there was 2 Canadian developers and 1 immigrant developer on the same team. Their paper just isn't quality education. You can easily find this when asking questions in an interview. How can you claim to have been trained with all these networking credentials and not know what an ARP table is? This is what filters them out. So Canadians have become un-interested in their paper from back home. Ok. Get an accountant from India. Put him in a meeting and and discuss how they are going to account for the stickers that are put on products meant for a store shelf. Start the talk of general ledgers and payables etc and they will be lost and un helpful becuase back home they haven't gown up in our complex societies. They come from the sand and all they know is how to memorize questions/answers for tests back home. They don't really comprehend our complex first world societal functions or speak english to even begin to comprehend. The increasing problem is that they choose still not to integrate and learn how our economy works. Culture reigns #1 in their eyes. They come from culture based societies, we come from economy based societies. And also, North Americans work much harder than just about anyone else in the world. Some authors have said this was the real reason to our success. The third world is typically very laid back, more involved with family functions and relaxation, and in my experience, they miss many more days of work then other employees. That is false. You just proved why this is false. Don't you see how work permits really work? What's also funny is that Canada already HAS a work permit program. We simply don't use it. If we did, there would be no labor shortages in Calgary right now. That's not true. Go study the H1B program. You first have to meet gov't qualifications, THEN the companies. I meant that Americans don't want to move there. And people under 30 who are single in Toronto shurely dind't want to live there. There is nothing to do there. Nothing. If you want cable internet, you might not get it. If you want to buy something simple like.. i dunno.. a pair of Guess jeans, you might not be able to get it. You have to take up natural things like fishing, hunting, bbq'ing etc. Many of the houses probably aren't on a sewage system, albiet huge houses. So companies in Fargo or Issaque, or Corpus Christie, who need employees simply cannot hire an American becuase these kids didn't go to school to move to these places. What they will do is simply hire someone on a work permit. However, you first have to meet H1B requirements. This automatically filters me out despite the company wanting me. In Canada we have 800,000 people waiting to come to Canada who have already been accepted (gag!). Wouldn't it make sense to bring these people in on our work permits from companies in areas who need them like Calgary? Instead, poeple are coming for family re-unification and just 'wandering in' to Toronto and doing nothing for our country but slowely killing our welfare state and healthcare system. Now who here can REASONABLY be apposed to changing our system to a work permit only system? (i'm sober tonight)
  14. Non-residents of Canada are not entitled to free healthcare. They only need to be here for 90 days to get medical benefits. Basically they are not paying into the system and using these services. Funny, India doesn't allow this, why do we? The suggestion during the Lebanon fiasco was to automatically revoke all citizenships from anyone who has been living outside of Canada for three years with dual citizenships. They would then be able to 'apply again'. The majority both left and right (AT THE TIME) were supporting this idea but of course it's political death in Canada so nothing was done. Now the economy is supposedly good so Canada 'has no problems' at the moment and 'everything is all good' to most people right now.
  15. Far out man. Like, wow. Lol! those were my thoughts exactly.
  16. Are you serious? Weed and acid will also give you motor control loss. Weed more than acid. Why don't you try drinking instead of the other drugs and you might like it more. Buy a bottle of Savignion Blanc and have a couple of glasses on an empty stomach. I'm sure most people would enjoy that more than drugs. I admit you have very good spelling and are intelligent. But the drugs are holding you back from your potential each day. A couple of drinks after work don't do that. The only way you'll realize that is if you stop. I mean you don't have to stop, but drugs will hold you back from your potential IMO.
  17. Ok what about 50,000 people living in Lebanon who are not paying taxes or are not even residents of Canada?
  18. What about his use of our healthcare system?
  19. DETAIN, THEN DEPORT! (now let me go back and read the origional post)
  20. Idioligy, not reality. Most people are not talented at what they do - this includes HR people. THey hire who they feel have the best paper credentials. In Canada, this is a BIG mistake becuase our immigation system is such a joke that basically anyone off the street can get in. However, each country has its own immigration testing. MS wants the testing to be easier so they can bring more people in faster. But they don't realize the reason why they get such good people is becuase of the US's tough testing. Microsoft is really here to save money. That's all. Everyone knows that's the real reason. They're opening a measly 200 jobs. Big deal. They don't have to pay healtchare insurance and can get away with lower wages becuase of our over supply of IT workers. Americans just aren't interested in working at Fargo, or Issagua. Would you like to live in Fargo? The immigration argument is just political football from Microsoft. They have their own immigration lawyers onsite to help with the applications. Bringing people over cost them a lot of money and is not very timely despite all the strings they can pull. So they want a faster, easier process.
  21. Well I would't fully agree. I mean if you are in the third world and born to poor parents, you will have no chance in life. You can't take responsibility for that. I can't take responsiblity for the dumb things my gov't does (income trusts). They are doing things without the will of the people (no voting on propositions). I guess what makes your post correct is your assertion that the 'events' of life is what you make of it. For instance, supose your poor in Pakistan.. a peasant on the street. There is a very good chance that you will live a more happy and fulfilling life than some insecure lame who works on Wallstreet. Kind of like how the hobbits were a poor underclass, yet they were the happiest of the bunch in the movie. At the end of the day, having a good life means having money to most people. But the poorer Canada becomes, the more we'll have to be born into wealth to succeed. I feel true, true oppertunity is in the USA. This one dude called up the radio station saying that his fiance had to go to Poland to get into medical school becuase there wasn't enough seats open despite her passing with an top grade average. Canada closed her oppertunity, not necessarily her. After all, she DID pass and meet requirements. She was just a victim of our countries typically poor policies, corruption, and missmanagement. So I feel the induvidual is not always to blame.
  22. He's the one who brought up immigration first. People don't like to talk about immigartion when their lives are good and the dollar value is high. The latter has a way of making people see everything through a rose color glass. Yes I'm getting paid more than I ever have and actually have the largest savings I ever had and things are the best ever for me also.. I also work somewhere were there are litterally no immigrants so I never have to worry about miscommunication and cultaral bagage like cricket and stonage religions, but I still don't let these facts cloud my judgement that it's slowely destroying Canada month by month. So no I don't see it as a game.
  23. When I was staying at UofT res 3 years back when I moved to Toronto, all the asian international students would go smoke pot in the field. They would go in like groups of 10 and then 15 min later walk back acting all gay and giggling and speaking Mandrin. It was always a funny site. The Chinese were always very giggly, happy, unisex, .. and 'herdish'.. The chinese made about 2/3 of the residence.
  24. So, what you're saying is those "ethnic immigrants" you always rant about are actually MORE qualified than you?? No wonder you are so angry... Yes they are actually. According to the US immigration policy, they qualify and I do not. Note that very few actually make it in. Most asians are there through the schooling loophole and then marriage. Few of the third world are in the US on H1B's. But I don't even qualify for an H1B. Geoffery though might be able to qualify depending on his direct experience. Also if you are a nurse it's in the bag.
  25. Who's fault is that? Are we all responsible for Canadians not willing to upgrade their skills to compete with exceptional foreign workers? I'll take the more qualified guy (or gal) anyday, regardless of where he (or she) is from (English proficiency of course is key). Ok. Serioulsy. It's rare with my experience that you will hear me prop up immigrants from the third world. They had many Vietnamese (for some reason), Chinese, and some spanish. Rarely Indians on the US campuses despite what you may here. Very few muslims. Maybe I've come accross 1 ever. The overwhellment majority are white (i'd say +90%). But the immigrants they did have. I can honestly say that they were the best. The english our of these asians were amazing considerening they did their schooling in China. Their vocabulary and english were excellent. They sometmies made me feel small. I'm just being honest. However, again, this is a VERY stark contrast from the people I have worked with here. People here only speak the English language at all when at work. All personal calls were in other languages. They would seriously struggle to do the most basic of reading and writing. Their comprehension was not at a grade 6 level when discussing a problem or situation. If Microsoft comes here and thinks they will be getting the quality of people that were able to be sponsored in, they are in a dream land. There's NO chance they will get these quality of employees. In Canada you will get people with pieces of paper saying they have an education and yet do not have basic english comprehension which is the pillar of workplace succsess.
