  1. Yes I'm sure it's done like this throught the 3rd world also. You have mailing lists for Shiah, Suni, Christian sects, etc. It's just 3rd world religion meeting politics and this is what Canada loves to foster. In Ontario if MMP passes, we'll have even more religion meeting politics as we continue to stab our country to death.
  2. But this is what modern Canada is all about.
  3. Kengs keep something in mind. They are a party based off idealism, not tried and true economic principles. Idealism tends to get us in trouble as Bob Rae and Trudeau both demonstrated. Ontario doens't have any goo candidates.
  4. And Canada has little to do with those countries. Canada is not comprised of a homogenous society as those mentioned.
  5. Dang!! you made my turn on the radio.. i was listening to Norah Jones!! I thought you mean Toronto city council!!
  6. Yes. We need to fix our political system as discussed in the past. It definately needs to go American. In the old days, Tory would have been elected, had no discussion, and just start to fund religious schools a la Trudeau style. The people want to have a say these days. They don't want a daddy. They want a manager and to vote on their own tax increases and spending priorities. You just gotta love the US and their political system. God bless em and all the power to them. We need propositions to be tabled federally and locally on how we would like to live in our country. Not have politicians decide this for us. Shame on Tory.
  7. I don't believe that half of people have never used drugs.
  8. It gets disputed becuase the votes are so close. The electoral college system implemented in Canada would stop parties like the Bloc Quebecois from occupying those numbers of seats in Canada. They would take up 0.8% of the house seats. Not 25%. So dense grops of immigrants could never form parties and overtake our political system. Sigh.. look. The Parlimentary system was meant to be used with honor and was meant for a homogenous society. It works under a certain context. The American system is fool proof. It's very regionalized. It's extremely hard to exploit. Big Pharma, Big Tobacco can lobby all they want, but the vote always comes back to the people. And the reason why I don't go to the US is because they have an immigration system. I am not needed in the US so Im not allowed in. Only Canada just lets people wander in with no job.
  9. Did you not read what Sheila Copps had to say? Listen to what she's saying. Ontario is NOT a homogeneous society. It's a balkan state. You will have nothing but extremists in the parliment. It does work, but ONLY for homogenous societies like Quebec or Alberta.
  10. I disagree. You should be requred to vote of fined. THis ensures true democracy. Currently we do not have a true democracy. Neither does the US. (in technicalities, 100% of people most vote to be considered a democracy). If you have not lived in Canada for 10 years, you should not be able to vote. If you are under the age of retirement and not paying taxes, you should not be able to vote. If you are collecting old age welfare, you get no vote. Oh God.. i'm listening to the CBC radio and they are discussing Thanks Giving.. and now this immigrant is calling in who I can barely understand. He's talking about 'his Country' and what they do there for thanks giving. This guy is from Ethiopia. She's asking if he does anything for thanks giving here.. and he says 'no'. He says he misses back home. Now he's saying that there is a large Ethiopian community here so he's able to still enjoy himself. LOL!! They file applications and simply wander into Canada. No jobs. No prospects. Just wandering into the Canadian black hole of welfare payments and gov't checks. Funny how Xul knows all about our EI and welfare payment system. Do you think he's dumb? What do you think he's going to be doing when he gets here? Let's not insult everyones intelligence.
  11. Simple. You need an electoral college system like in the US. That's why their political system is the best. It just works so well and is hard to exploit.
  12. SEE I TOLD YOU! JBG AND ME TOLD YOU GUYS SO. I JUST KNEW THIS WOULD BENEFIT THEM AND BANG ON I WAS RIGHT. Thanks to JBG for having the honesty and courage to be unbiased, and well read as he always is.
  13. I agree only because if it's not done now, the numbers of ethnic seperatists will grow so large in the next 10 years that Tory might have WON just becuase he decided to attack Catholic schools. So best to deal with it now and leave it in history. The 3rd world does not seperate church and culture from state. We do. That's what keeps them in the thirld world; the failure to seperate religion and culture from state. Now they are trying to bring that way of life here. The more we mix religion and state, the more hot water we get in. In 2020 imagine religious riots and mozzletoff cocktails from religious wars between schools. Look at what happened during air india. Good thing there wasn't Hindu schools Sikh schools. With more than 50% visible minorties in the GTA and Vancouver, ethnic schools will be in each neighbourhood, in each few blocks and wold lead to a nitemare situation. We should also ban religious parties becuase if MPP gets it's way, get ready for mass religious, ethnic political parties wasting presious time and recources in our political system. Our Parliment is NOT meant to be a UN. It's meant to discuss law and policy where religion and culture should never be mentioned. That's what makes us a modern country. To regress backwards 300 years is just insane.
  14. And Ontarians don't want to touch even the idea that it will be brought up again. Immigrants aren't for it, the Chinese community.. err... Chinese people in Canada... don't support this.. I think everyones problem with Tory is that he's trying to govern like God and for his own purposes. Not for the people who live here.
  15. What's the status of Justin Tredeau right now? I've been out of the loop. Last I heard he was given a riding.
  16. Harper needs to realize he's still in a minority gov't. 'Drugs Wars' are unpopular with Canadian voters becuase it's too 'American'. I feel this was a very, very bad move on Harpers part. Let's hope this was just a 1 day photo op. Harper needs ot focus on getting tough on sex offenses and raising the life sentence and remvoing the faint hope claw. The drug war is just not popular with Canadians and one can't help but to thing of Bush and Regan.
  17. Vanier is a dump. Too much crime. What part of Ottawa is a rough neighbourhood? Almost ALL parts of Ottawa.
  18. I personally do not recommed Islamic schools for anyone. I do not believe in their teaching of Shariah Law, Jihad, and how to treat non believers and Jews.
  19. Yeah that was a sheer disaster. I feel Tory could have won. He certainly got most of the media attention. Dalton barely got any. I think people like Howard Hampton the most. He's the people champ for sure. And it's hard to argue anyting he says (unlike Layton). He very straight forward in his answers (unlike Dalton and Tory). I guess I like Hampton the most becuase he understands that real Ontario families can barely make ends meet and the quality of life for Ontarians is going down the sink hole. He truly understands that. Too bad he doesn't really understand the solution to these problems.
  20. Yeah it's well known. Tory's party began to turn against him and he found out he was 15 points down in his OWN riding. He then made an announcment that he wasn't backing down from ethnic schooling, but he would hold it to a free vote and still table the motion (meaning that it wouldn't pass). A pundit on the CBC said that voters simply won't even take that chance and won't touch a politician that is even going to entertain this issue. Thus Dalton is winning. Now there is backlash that Tory ruined the campaign becuase of this issue and the real issues at hand have not been discussed. People are angry at Tory. I've never seen such a poor run campaign. Tory never even discussed how he was goign to pay for all his promises. I'll say this now.. and it's hard to say.. but Tory is probably the worst politician i've ever known in my life. Dion can atleast pick a hot topic, but Tory.. wow. the last thing Ontario needs is to throw us into some Islamic debate and take away our Catholic schools. I mean.. that was the LEAST most important things to Ontario. That's the last thing we needed just when things were calming down here. There are SO many other laws and rules to pick on when it comes to 'fairness'. Why he did this? WHo knows. Those group of 20 religious lobbiests were worth it eh Tory?
  21. I don't feel that she should be citing people born outside Canada, she should be citing visible minorities. the CIA world factbook says that almost 18% speak something other than French or English and I feel that there is a serious problem with that. Her stats are also 6 years out of date when you consider that our population grows 1% each year from immigration. That's 6% now. Mostly comprised of people from the third world who don't really give a damn about Canada.
  22. Yes. I cite minorities because studies show they do not consider themselves Canadian for the most part. They also hold racism and will never marry you or your son. They are not Canadian and vote Liberal which studies prove.
  23. That's becuase most people, including youth, are simply incapable of seing 10 years down the road. 10 years ago we could all get an education and a gov't job. This is no longer possible. Things change in 10 years drastically.
  24. Those stats are outdated. Lets look at 10 years from now: Visible Minorities in 2017 In 2017, Ontario will have 57% and B.C. will have 20% out of the total visible minority population in Canada, or 77% combined. There will also be considerable variation by metropolitan areas. Almost 75% of all visible minority persons will be living in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal in 2017. Furthermore, in 2017, more than half of the Toronto CMA will belong to a visible minority group under 4 of the 5 projected scenarios, and more than half of Canada's South Asians will be living in that city. Montreal will be mainly comprised of Blacks (27%) and Arabs (19%). Languages Spoken: Languages: English (official) 59.3%, French (official) 23.2%, other 17.5%
  25. What's the message behind the CTV site refering to Paul martin as the Prime Minister? Wow we just can't let some things go can we.
