That's why those laws exist in many other countries. You have to understand how the Libearl nominations work. It goes on behind closed doors. This is where the exploitation is happening. it's not so much corruption, but rather exploitation. The higher up in politics you get, the harder it is to do. But the lowest level matters most. Well I guess that would be up to each party. It's not a parlimentary issue but rather a party issue. You would not be able to vote unless you signed a form saying that you did not know the person you are voting for. You could also have proportional representation to measure an imbalance of religion/minority status. For instance, if Brampton is 15% Sikh. And at the candidate is Sikh. That local riding cannot have an audience of 80% Sikh's voting in a Sikh contestant over the other 7 people of other backgrounds. This is not illegal, it's not even corruption, it's exploitation of an honorable system that was designed long, long ago in good faith. People were never meant to vote in their friends or down religious and ethnic lines. But this what happens in the 3rd world. This is how it's done over there. You have 100 runners and you get as many friends as you can from your mosque to elect you in. That is the fundamental thing that is wrong with those countries. They come here and repeat the same thing. The Sikh temple, the Mosque, they are more than just religious churches, they are political power bases. It's how it's done back home. But I'll never convince you of that.

I'm talking at the nomination level. The very low level of it. These are private, card carying functions. This is the exploit portions of the poltiics that many poeple don't understand. While it's within the party, it has been exploited.

It's not democratic. A minority of people in Canada determine the rules for the majority. That is not democracy. This country does not have a good quality of life when you are living in 400 sq ft hobble and waiting 5 hours in emergency becuase your own healthcare system is leaving you to die (In Ontario Tory was ambushed by someone who was in that situation).

Yes she did. She cheated and hijacked her way into the riding after graduating from school and did not represent the greatest proportion of her riding. Yes Brampton has lots of Sikh's, but the majority is not sikh, nor Liberal. Her and her tribe took exploited our political system. Doesn't matter. She's racist. One person on this very forum went to go protest outside her office. Her aid said 'maybe she would come out to speak to you if you were 'brown'' or something along those lines. He should have went to the media with that story. But we would see more immigrants. Right now immigrants are FAR under represented in our political system. I like it like that. I feel this will help promote rogue parties of immigrants wedging their way into our political system kind of like how it's done in the middle east, pakistan, africa, bangledesh, samolia.

I doubt this will pass becuase people just don't understand it. It's typical politics as usual. While I still fully don't understand it (even after an hour of discussion on the CBC), basically the 'yes' side said that most of the people who will be appointed these position will be chosed by the politicians and are typicall chosen to be "Women and Visible Minorities". That's all I needed to hear to not like it. I certainly do not want some arab, 3rd world style of parliment. We don't live in an Islamic cultural dessert regoin, we live in a North American work based economy. It's time to stop the country from heading down the tubes.

Canada is not a democratic country. My brother got 2 T4 slips and only mailed in 1 for a tax return. He got some money back. The next year, CRA wanted their money. They decided to also double his payment back becase they basically found him guilty before trial. He told CRA that he only recieved one t4 slip in the mail becuase he moved to Toronto. They didn't care. They said that he got charged double the fee because they feel that he tried to cheat it. They basically found him guilty without trial. He had to pay it. $3800 to our gov't. That wasn't very fun. If he takes it to court, they will re-emburst us but first we have to go through tax fairness center. There is no way to call them or contact them. They call you if they feel like it. And they have not. Combine that with property taxes, and there's almost $8000 a year alone in taxes. Those are just lump sums. Those aren't even income, sales tax, gas tax etc. Canada is a corrupt, morally corrupt, and 'third world like' country. I spend taxes to give the money back to immigrants and gov't unionized jobs.

If you saw the video, would see something completely foreign to you. Something that happens in NO OTHER country in the world. You have no idea how grass roots American politics is. Us Canadians only see the federal news. You should watch the US satellites and local channels to really show just how much Americans control their own policy. It would be something completely, utterly foreign to you if you saw it.

I agree. Natives teamed up and did business with Americans. They actually faught along side Americans also. Same with India and the British. These people learned trade and enjoyed material items. They learned how to work in exchange of something. And they like it. I'm sure natives back then weren't whining and crying about saving trees and such. They were probably too busy enjoying new found riches and a new quality of life. Even till this day, supposedly the natives are in amazing positions of prosparity becuase they have land which contains forestry and minerals but refuse to create industry. Natives just act like Indian from India. Both act like a visible minority group who panders to political party for political gain and handouts. They should go and smoke the 'peace pipe' and let it all go and move on.

I went to go fishing in my own lakes and couldn't go without getting licences. It was over $50 for two licences. I couldn't believe it. An American was infront of me and he got raped for like $30. Yeah I think that was so damaging to Tory that no one even wants to talk about it. I've cringed so many times during this election and today was the biggest cringe. I think everyone politician in Canada learned a big lesson from what happened tonight. I've been saying over and over, the modern Canadian does not want a visionary, they do not want an idealist, they do not want a daddy, and they do not want a leader. They want a manger. Nothing less, nothing more. Just a manager who works for the people. Tory is not that. McGuinty is. BTW, sources cited from a news anchor on a local radio station said that this happened over pressure within his own party and lots of in fighting. He was supposedly in phone confrences last night with concerned members threatening to go public and turn their back on Tory if he didn't abide. After all this, he still refused to back down and then the poll released showing he was 15 points below in his own riding. A pundant on the CBC said that Ontario voters won't go for even a 'chance' of this and it's simply not enough with what he proposed. A couple people said that he wasn't cut out for public life. I just cringed all day long. Believe this or not, they did a chinese/indian debate (all three leaders) and now the tone with the chinese 'community' is that they don't trust his *judgment* (not leadership) in important affairs and most immigrants in the Chinese community were against private funding for religioius schools. (note that Chinese in Toronto are largely athiest or christian). The lady said that Chinese get very wary of people who make poor judgement and will outcast them as not being able to be trusted. Not for promises, but for judgement. And I agreed with her. Tory would have been a great Permier. Our Ralph Klien even. But he fell victim to mass immigration. The Immigrants interfered with our political structure once again and look what happened. Tory misjudged Ontarians becuase he is an elite. He's not grass roots. He doesn't know how its like to stare out your window and see 8 minivans with women in Hijabs grabbing big green garbage bags of 'who knows what' into and out of their house. He doesn't relate to the common person in Ontario. He has probably never had to even speak to a Samolian in Ottawa or even knows they exist. He's completely out of touch. (God.. imagine a Somali private school... wow..) Time to change my signature I guess becuase the election is pretty much over.

Ok I'm going to have to spend time and read up on this.. Immigrants are extrememly organized from the Temples and Mosques. Things that were deemed not possible have happened. I wish I could find that letter to the Toronto Sun from a life long Liberal member who said that his membership was hijacked when Wajid Khan get elected. He said he looked around and for the first time most of the audience seemd to be or an arab, islamic descent and he found this a very serious problem for things to come. If we are proposing to give minorities more a voie in any other way, I find this very serious. I still have no idea how this works. BTW, there is already a Chinese party in Vancouver. A sikh party would dominate ridings in Ontario that's for sure. While just a seat to you, they can mobilize with all other immigrants demanding things they all have in common - wanting free money, wanting a free ride becuase there aren't enough jobs to go around.

If you want to have your own schooling system that cators to your own kind only, then that sir, is racism. If you have a cultural group in a University that ionly welcomes to people of a certain skin color, then that sir, is racism. If you hold a parade down a street to celebrate a color and creed, then that, is racism. Just saying the 'N' word isn't racism. Now ask your self, how many 'white Canadians' do you know that are guilty of the above? Thought so. Look in the mirror and tune in, turn on, and tune out of the CBC.

did you really come down to Toronto this summer? How could you even question that? I guess there's always an off chance you stayed in a 'white' area like Oakville or the Beaches. Good portions of Toronto proper around the condos are also largely white believe it or not.

They don't speak it. I used the subway system for the first time here because I went down town for some festival that was a waste of time. The subway is pretty simple. Chinese in one corner, Jamaicans in the other, Indians in the other, Muslim women with hijabs in the other with a few Canadians here and there. It's a completely segregated society. It's an extrememly racist subway. We sat there and couldn't believe the segregation right on the subway. People of certain coloured skin only talk to each other. All you hear on the subway are foreign languages. I don't think i heard english once. And wow there is low income poverty all over Toronto.

Canada is not the entire world. It is our small country with borders and laws. We decide what goes. That's what's wrong with you young kids. You think that Canada is somehow the 'entire worlds'. The 'entire world' has no right being here. Only we do.

When you examine modern gangs in the west, the root is realy the fact that civilized nations let aliens into their country. You aren't allowed to discuss these things. Especially when it comes to crimes in the US. There are black crimes in the US. There are slums which are mostly black and latino. Now we have ghetto's in Canada. Murders in Toronto, Vancouver. .. not many in Montreal though.. hmm.. The root, proveable cause is a nation let in foreign born aliens into a culture where certain people, from certain countries were incompatible. Now the US is stuck with a major problem that they've learned to live with. Canada's problems are just beginning and we need to stop it now.
