  1. I think the senate should stay and be downsized to 13 people to represent each province. This was mentioned before. But you know what though, I have a question. So, if people were to elect a senator, how special interest exploit this vote? Like.. who gets elected? Are they a member of a partisan party? Or are they a leader of a Mosque? Like how would this work? As people know, i'm very worreid about exploitation of our political system.
  2. I agree. It's well known in the immigrant communities that he's anti-immigrant. They paint Harper as being a racist. Harper is diong his best to win their vote because he's going to have to if he wants a majority. Either that or he's going to have ot do better in Quebec. im not worried about Canadian ridings. They will never elect an internationalist with 2 passports and from Quebec. They simply wont do it. It's the immigrant ridings that are the issue here. Harper has to show that they can trust him. He has to promise immigrants money. Like litterally buy them off. Like 'settlement cheques' or somethign along thoose lines. Immigrants will play with the powerbroker of the day... eventually because it helps their powerbase. The question is, when will their tide turn and when will they jump on board? It will be Chinese first, but everyone else, who knows. The chinese ridings are not enough. It's the mixed immigrant minority ridings that are the issue. Ontario and BC has a lot of them. When you are sitting in your $300,000 semi detatched brick home collecting gov't cheques every month, your first goal is to bring your family over and the party you vote for will make this happen. Harper needs to gain their trust and become one of them. He's been doing this, but he needs to go even further and litterally send them $500 'minority help' cheques. People come to Canada to take advantage of an easy life filled with freebies. Not to take part in a country that has no jobs for them. Why else do you think Xul knows all about our welfare and EI system. Hell, he even know the abreviation. Harper needs to call an election now and hope Quebec gives him a majority. If I were him, i would not bring up immigration or Lib wackos and the CBC will black list him which could cost him at the polls. If immigrants do not vote CPC this time around, each and every seat will count. Quebec will count. It will be extremely close. Laton - tarnished and stained. Dion - a matter of time before he's gone. Ducept - getting tired in quebec due to ducepts pro immigration stance. There is only 1 winner this time around. Immigrant vote or not. This is it guys. This is probably going to be the last election until the balance of immigrant ridings are so great that there is no turning back and a majority is no longer possible. Ottawa - now fully immigarnt ridings (except Orleans). Calgary, AB - soon will be immigarnt ridings popping up everywhere. Rural parts of Ontario, Quebec, and BC - will further become immigrant ridings like Hamilton, Kitchener, Waterloo, etc.. They all vote Liberal so it won't matter anymore what Canadians think. This is the last shot. This will be the last ever that Canadians STILL hold political power to give a certain gov't a majority. We've lost political power.. well.. not yet. But we will in less than 10 years if we don't put Harper in office now and let him eliminate our immigration policy.
  3. Naturally, I feel our lagest issue is Immigration. We need to align ourself with a US style of system that does not allow people to enter unless they have a job lined up. Brampton grew by 33%. Calgary by 12%. People are not moving where there are jobs. The easy way to resolve this is to allow work permits only. It would basically be an immigation overhaul that would no longer allow sponsoship or marriages into Canada. Also absolutely NO foreign students. Our schools are for us, not them. I thnk manay immigarnts would support this. the ones who dont, are the ones who are not benefitting Canada. And they can leave if they don't like it. And we would abolish our Refugee policy completely and only accept refugees from places in crisis like Kosavo when there is a VISIBLE refugee crisis. (to meet our nato agreements) I know, i know, there wouldn't be anymore Pakistani's, Sikhs, and Chinese coming but oh well. And I know, I know, youg people like Jennie would be able to go to shcool and get a good job and buy a house and have children rather than sit in wallow self hatred. But yeah I guess those will have to be the concequences we'll suffer through.
  4. John Tory is the type of stuborn *** that we all hate working for. You know, the guy who's always the boss and you wonder how he got there. The guy who simply is incapable of 'getting it'. The guy who is a road block to success. The guy who blocks out everything that you have to say. Tory is a textbook example. I was listening to the radio yesterday and the host of the show was interviewing John Tory. Tory was not in campaign mode and was speaking as if he already left the party. Tory said that with all the poeple in the last 2 days that told him 'I would have voted for you, except'.... that he said right now he'd preparing his throne speech right now rather than doing the radio interview. And right or left everyone will disagree with this statement: He then said that his job as politician is not only to manager the budget and make laws, but he's also there for a 'GREATER CALLING IN SOCIETY'. And he still said that it was the right thing to do. Is he for real????? Listen Tory, the RIGHT thing to do as an ELECTED politician is to REPRESENT the will of the PEOPLE - NOT YOUR PERSONAL IDEALISMS. The Daddy days of politics are over in Canaada. Dion and Tory can want to be our Daddy all they want, but they are not. And I do believe there is a sect of Canadians still alive and on this forum who see politicians as some sort of Daddy. A father of our country with their hands out asking for a bigger check. Working on not working. The old style of voter that reads a party platform and votes for A or B because they have 'good ideas'. Those days are in the past and we know how much trouble that can get us in. Canadians want managers. They want impartial managers to do their jobs and represnt constituants. McGuinty is a manager. When it came to banning cel phones in vehicles, he said NO. John Tory was all over the radio wanting a complete ban so he can excersise his control and power over us. Canada needs a much smaller gov't, much lower taxes, no capital gains, and to get out of the healthcare business. We need a new day in Canada. We need the gov't to step back and let the people decide. As you saw, the people are capable of doing this. We need to stop our clown politics and gov't rot and corruption. ok basically this is what is wrong with Canada. When online trading came about in the 1999 and such, it finally got approved in Canada. Our trades were not $6, they were closer to $50. The reason is because the gov't decided that the people trading their own stocks could not 'think for themsevles' and that a human actually had to oversee every single trade. How dare our Daddy gov't do this. How dare they. I took offense to it then and take offence to that now. And many, many people here on the forums openly said that Canadians are dumb and can't think for themselves and letting Canadians have a say was a bad idea. I remember Geoffry saying this in specific. But our issues are not rocket science. They never have been despite what the intillectuals and elites may have you believe. Ontario voters were certainly smart enough to realize what the implications of Tory's ethnic schooling experiment would be. Ontario voters realized the necessaty of tax increases to fund a hospital system that is designed for mass, mass immigration and excused McGuinty for breaking that promise although don't want to see that happen again. Ontario voters were also smart enough to not want 20 different parties in our Parliment with some wacko voting system. To the CBC and all the itelectuals let me tell you: - While we did not understand it 100%, we did know the result would be MORE parties in our already laughable Parliment and we DIDN'T WANT THAT. Now lets move on and encourage more refurendums. I just hope poeple here take a lesson from this election. This election was not poltiics as usual, it was basically a referendum. This election was historic in the sense that we voted on our own issues. Even taking away immigrant ridings, the Tories still lose. The people spoke loud and clear. Let's hope Harper calls an election which is rumored to possibly happen. Lets show Canadians that we do have it within ourselves to decide on issues like immigration, taxes, spending, and regulations. Trust in yourselve, not you Daddy.
  5. Thanks for the link. My favorite part: Break down the credentials barrier. We need new Ontarians practicing their skills, not working at inadequate jobs while fighting to get their foreign credentials recognized. We will simplify the process of credentialing and make every attempt to accredit newcomers before they arrive in Ontario. If necessary, we will amend employment legislation to get around the ‘Canadian experience’ barrier. Immigrants that need to upgrade their education and skills will be eligible for student loans, just like any other Ontarian. Wow that is a devistatingly dangerous step in the wrong direction actually forcing employers of who they can and cannot recognize. Tory you are not our daddy. BUTT OUT!
  6. Same with Muslims, Sikh's and Hindu's and other stoneage cultures that are in the millions of our population. There are many here on the forum that truly hate jews. I am not one of them and consider Jews to be brothers and sisters that help build Canada.
  7. What is your opinion on this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Y0lB7dNc4M
  8. Wow you are just totally lost. Completely in another world. Not on the planet earth.
  9. The NDP doens't count. They are Liberal x 10 and I believe they want even more immigrants. Immigrants are NOT voting conservative. Not one riding. They fear that Harper does not want immigrants. Harper needs to fix the reputation amongst immigrants. This will only be done by him becoming one of 'them'. Spending lots of time with the refugees in Quebec, lots of time with the ghettoising poor in Toronto, and lots of time with the alien segregationists in Vancouver. Then buying their votes. He also needs to be more inviting of the Sikhs. They hold too much power in Ontario and BC. A group of political aliens who do not work that we let in Canada to do this here in Canada: Wow! Come move here. Please do.
  10. The low voter turnout is human nature. Just llike many, many other laws like paying taxes as a civic duty, you also must vote. Politicians don't want this because each side believes that they are benefiting from people not voting.
  11. You only need a peice of paper with your address printed and an ID with a signature. You do *NOT* have to prove that you are a Canadian citizen. It's designed like this so refugees and other newcomers can vote Liberal and it's worked very well in all modern elections.
  12. I prefer Canadians first, everything else second
  13. Hmmm.. you know what. The Green Party (in Ontario) came accross as the new grass roots party (no pun). Maybe that's why they got the most attention in this election. You should have heard him talk about faith based schooling on the radio. It was great. He was the only one who didn't dance around the issue and said that it was wrong and racist. He also seems to be a likeable guy. But their far too idealist based party and would lead us to ruins.
  14. I agree. Everyone else should too if you know what he's talking about. The reason why our immigration and tax system is the way it is is because of what he said above. That's why nothing gets done about the latter. And then our healthcare. We need elected members and representatives who do not belong to a party to represent us based on their platforms. Naturally, the US comes closest to this system.
  15. People like you who are fortunate enough to be able to invest are desperately needed and I feel that you should not be taxed at all on your investments. I agree that anyone making that money is not on T4'd income. There are rare exceptions like Doctors I guess who might have to pay lots of tax. I wouldn't say the rich person is using a 'tremendous' amount more. But that's what they worked for and is the social class they have been born in so that's how it goes. Americans have a luxury tax. You are talking about a US when you talk about guarding borders and immigration. i'm talking about willingly letting in people to saturate our job maket. But that's ntohign you have to worrry about. You never have to worry about losing your job to immigrants so naturally you support it. And immigrants aren't your neighbours either so again you don't have to worry about it. But you are a small, small sect of people in Canada.
  16. Talking about the NDP.. When did this party become an 'international politics, nato, UN, global warming, pro-terrorism ' party? Wasn't this party meant to represent the interests of low wage, low paid hard working Canadians for the Interest of Canadians? Isn't this supposed to be a grass roots union party interested in the protection of Canadians and against labor saturation of our job market via immigration? What happened to this party?
  17. Sorry Jennie. Women wearing headscarfs is human slavory and evidence of abuse against women which Canada should not endorce or support. If you are a true NDP/Liberal, you would never support what they do to women.
  18. I am talking about federally. And you are wrong, immigration is also a provincial matter. Ontario has the power (if it wanted) to refuse immigrants like quebec does.
  19. I agree. If you didn't get enough votes in your riding, you lost. Free vote systems work indeed on social issues like gay marriage etc, but not in a regional land like Canada for every day representation.
  20. What I'm saying is that if 1 party rules over us (as typically seen in the third world), then they have the ability to control us and we are at their mercy (just like the third world). This is what will happen if immigrants keep voting Liberal. They are only growing in numbers all over Canada. The only way for the Cons to get the ethnic vote is simple: -Raise immigratoin to 500,000 people a year. -Give all Immigrants $500 a month bonus just for being an immigrant. -Family members can arrive to Canada first, then go through processing and be entitled to ALL of our benefits and social programs including welfare and healthcare.
  21. Name me a visible minority that elected a green party member? Why do you let your emotions override truth? Not 1 minority riding voted Conservative. Do you not find that troubling?
  22. He's been asked those same questions so many times on the radio and has canned responses for each.
  23. Yeah but just becuase a politician lies, it doesn't mean that he's necessarily destructive for the province. Harris decided to CLOSE hospitals and lay off nurses despite mass, mass yearly immigration. It doesn't take a brain surgen to figure that one out (no pun intended). Then he sold the 407 which was meant to be a public highway. So lets see. Public tax dollars built a highway that gold sold privately for profit. Gee.. i didn't know the gov't was elected to be in the real estate business.
  24. OMG you know what it does. Unbelievably it does. When you take away the immgirant vote from this election, these numbers are to the tee. I'm serious. 10/11 x 3 = 30 PC/NDP and 33 Liberal seats. Amazing! (I was tallking about these poll results on this topic and then comparing within ration to the real results. Unreal)
