NDP says kevin page is the man, carney knows nothing.

There is no recession there is just a downturn in wants. People have what they want. Overproduction is a bad thing in the big picture. While it is true overproduction is good for resource driven economies like Canada, being a solely resource driven economy is a bad thing. There are no recessions just bad uses of labour. There are plenty of things people can do, but the REAL problem is is monetization of the economy. A real measure of economic success is based upon peoples needs/ and wants - demands being met. That is all that matters. Are there unmet demands... if those unmet demands are work then put people to work. But it is clear that the problem is monetization of the economy, and for us to end idiotic paranoia about economic success we must destroy the monetary system. Like the Americans only with purpose and intent. -
The $50 bill is part of Canadian heritage and a lot more people get to see it each year. Spread the culture. I'm sure a 1 billion dollar new building would quickly become part of our culture too. We could include a museum that held all the parts that would have been fixed inside it so when biologists create money trees our descendents can follow their dreams to restore history to the greatness it once was. It could be bigger than disney or just plop an aircraft carrier ontop of parliament hill, people would love it. Nothing says Capital like an aircraft carrier.. and with rising sea levels it could be used as an arc it could be called the CNS Noah totally forward looking and prepared for the worst be it rising sea levels, tsunamis or war in the middle east.
-
This is rediculous http://www.theglobea...article4823775/ over 1 billion in reno costs. You could build a massive building for less. You could build a second parliament building for less.. who the heck made the call to pump 1 billion into the west block? That is basically like $50 per tax paying Canadian just to keep the west block looking good. YOu could probably build like 100 federal apartment buildings that provided low income housing for people and generate revenue for that, then use proceeds to keep parliament upkept. This is just pissing money down the mouth of the public.

Its the concept not the equipment. There are many concepts. It does require 250 million dollars. There are many alternate options. Not really. I don't get your connection here. You can't count air shows as combat experience. Probably in training for the f35 helmet users?

Yes, Russian stealth modules able to be attached to their jets to offer ECM stealth. Havn't you read about it yet? They've been around for a few years now. I would. No actually you don't if you can modify the circuit. All you need is a trajectory. It needn't be by laser, that is the sensor designation part which then relays information, any alternate sensor or designation system can be used in its place including virtualized information. The world moves at a pace of about 4 inches per second. Figure it out. It is a simple fix. The answer though, is that maybe they don't want to. That is what pilots and gunners are for. What combat history? Such as? -Sound -smell -chemical analysis -mass, displacement -visual band -apparently UHF cross analyized radar -point monitoring -EM sheild sphere invasion -point to point verification -human verification based on trajectory of sighting -others (like quantum tunneled analysis) I'd be more than willing. Of course it would be nice if monies were received for consulations, as well as flight expenses etc.. as applicable. I'm sure anyone with half a brain could tell them these things if their hands and hopes wern't in other peoples pockets with the draw string being held by corporate execs. Or how about or Now don't get me wrong, I've been behind the lightening for years now, I just think the procurement plan needs to be balanced and financed with existing money.
-
No its not. It is in no way the same. You making that post is like the kind of cheap, short sighted approach that was used in the past for CF-188's, leading to absurd situations requiring panic shuttles of training FLIR pods across the Atlantic during the Kosovo War, lack of updated radios, and obsolete IFF.
-
Good enough for the French. None the less they have semi-stealth capabilities. However a russian type ECM stealth module could be added to give similar stealth capabilities to the the f35. See stealth capabilities of the T50. As for bombing of the ground for "sovreignty defence" I really don't get it. Also the ground based bombing without laser designator can be done by installing a simple and very small computer system tracking ground systems and/or smart bombs. A ground based force is not required. Except for exactness and you need that with the f35 too. Its illegal for the US to authorize a bombing run without calculating collatoral damage and assessing via JAG. Also these planes would be for domestic missions or where they were enough. A ground war in Canada using air forces is not very good. But I could come up with a solution to your problem in 10 seconds. So no you are wrong. Also the F35 doesn't have real stealth capabilities it is like saying plug your ears and tell me where I am. It has one form of stealth and many forms of being detected. While it does have advantages technologically, technological advantages are short lived, and there is no war they can be advantage of, and no one to invade Canada to put them to use. So it is just throwing money away to a large extent. You have to look at it in terms of, what missions are required, and which ones can be performed by the f35 and not by the rafale. I could throw on a 5 million ecm unit the the rafale and get the same results as the f35 in term of stealth abilities (actually less) and save 100 million dollars or more. Also what about criticisms like: http://www.popularme...planes-13506974 This trumps things Greenert (although from the Navy) effectively says the financial investment in stealth will have little actual return in terms of mission capability due to detection systems out there and those that will be out there. So stealth simply cannot be relied on to allow indiscriminate bombing and planes that won't be hit by missiles. The opposite is true. There will be fewer planes and they can still be hit by missiles, or rail guns or energy based weapons.

Speaking of being prepared... could get worse... http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/story/2012/10/31/f-climate-sandy-superstorm.html Apparently the more sea levels rise the bigger chance of increased flooding ... what use to be a once in a century event, atleast in New York may become more common. Also note that these sorts of storms would occur due to "change" in the gulf caused by the BP Deep Water Horizon Oil leak that results in the climate model shifting out of the gulf and into the Atlantic....

wow I'm happy it was pretty light, and temperatures stayed above 0, good thing we have global warming to help us against another ice storm caused by a tropical storm and freezing weather.

Justin Trudeau Would Take Liberals to a Majority

He was a teacher in BC before making the move into politics. He actually strangely I beleive finished his first degree in the arts then moved into the sciences after his Bachelor of education. I beleive he was working on that engineering degree or something at the time as well as teaching or something of the sort. For his age and position he has toured quite extensively since going professionally into politics, for example his tour of Canadian Universities a couple years ago under his Youth shadow portfolio. Of course his brothers died in that avalanche and that is when people first starting talking about him entering politics professionally. He is currently trumping a policy of moderation on language, in regard to Quebec's Language Laws being good enough as they are with no need to strengthen them. there have been others. He positions himself as someone in support of the Status Quo, and middle class centrism. (according to the press) -
No their work must feed back in directly to their demands. (as well as steady import demands and also other market forcast needs especially those with deficit. It is business but business also tied into availability, also non perishable resources can be to a certain extent stored like grain in a pyramid ) You are trying to champion a failed model as my model but my model is not that failed model so stop trying to fit baby shoes on a giants toes.

No the Rafale would allow low cost interdiction without stressing the f35 frame. Is that sarcasm? They havn't even finished 80% of the factory default source code for the plane yet Sure they arn't. Why are you defending stupidity. That is because they made it. countries that don't design and make aircraft have the privelege of seeing how the plane performs before buying into it. The Rafale is still being developed by the French. Its not twice as many it is 60-70 jets instead of 50. F35 costs more and is more of a pain in the but. The fewer of them and more rafale in the fleet the lower the overall cost, lower replacement parts ect.. If you fly the rafale forwhat missions itis good enough for you will see major cost savings.
-
The vital missing link blueblood is that you get the people you pay to do productive work. This step allows the economy to realign itself to meet everyones needs rather than waste production and luxury.

They wanted to do a stampede running of the bulls on Baystreet. $500 friendly bet? for attacking third world countries. It needs a cheap fighter that it can modify and replace parts on at will. Ideally something that will be low cost to maintain, and will be able to fly in arctic conditions or at bear minimum Canadian subarctic winters. Its newer, and new ones will still be able to fly after 2018, and they will perhaps be more available than the f35 since the program is run out of the US. The f35 isn't tested and loosing one is a bigger deal than loosing one rafale That really is a problem because these things will be yesterdays plane by 2025. The project lifespan is way too long. It is buying too much on tommorrows money. they don't have the money now they shouldn't be buying now. We don't need all the tasks for every role. Keeping flight hours down will be important that is why having a mixed fleet with a lower cost jet to fly is a better deal for the tax payers. Why drive a porsche or bugatti when a toyota will do the job?
-
f35's will only be useful in attacking 3rd world countries by 2025. I don't like the all eggs in one basket approach. While I think that a few flights of these will be complimentary (to be purchased perhaps 7 a year up until 2020 (perhaps 35-42, I think a much more ambitious plan needs to exist for defence aquisition for Canada.) The price is way too high though on these things. I can't beleive that the costs are as high as they are, it doesn't make sense in my mind that companies should be profiting off these things due to the bloat. Price has like doubled, that is massive. The price should be lower not higher, there are no shortages it is just gouging. They are just way beyond Canada's needs for defence. I don't see why Canada should be projecting as an invader and destroyer, when its old image was peace keeper. It doesn't have the weight for that role. http://en.wikipedia....File:AFwing.png That is basically what the f35 will be in Canada. But it isn't sufficient for defence, it isn't designed for defence. While wing 1 may be f35's wing 2 should be another type of jet for homeland defence. Like f35 being able to be used for counteroffensives while wing 2 a lower cost perhaps even gen 4 model(not saying cf-18's) primarily for other roles within Canada even onemade in Canada and completely owned and modifiable in Canada. Something like the Rafael may be a better choice for wing 2. http://en.wikipedia....Dassault_Rafale Cutting 10-15 F35's off the block you could put together about 20-30 rafaels. Or perhaps some sort of f-18 rafael hybrid that maintains the rafael's benefits such as fuel savings on supercruise.

The only flaw is that we don't need more crap. The solution is just to make money and give it to poor people. Then poor people who do need stuff will buy it. and you have that demand go up. and then the unemployed(likely the poor people) won't need free money anymore.

This is just a cosmic teapot argument. Of course 80+% of the federal service is unneeded. They go to office buildings and do nothing constructive, waste office supplies and talk to people. The same as pretty much any other office worker. Is there some mysterious mining operation going on underneath those buildings I'm not aware of? Or are they the ones behind importing Chinese Slave Labour for mining operations in BC? The Chinese would have done that themselves. Roads are expensive, get an ultralight. Nothing like the wide open northern roadway. http://www.beliteair...com/how-to-buy/ I bet they have electric and derigible models kicking around too... http://www.uflyit.com/instock.htm These things go faster than cars too... what are you waiting for.. http://www.copanatio...ngaAircraft.pdf Look at that sexy pinup on page 4. Get an offroad vehcile. I do tend to agree with you but I think the only new roads should be coming out of forest fire prevention programs, etc.. no paving etc... just dirt... people should buy better vehicles that can handle off road conditions.

Since Canada is getting dumped on too, just thought I'd check to see if anyone thinks there will be effects, eg. putting the reserves on standby for flooding, power outages etc.. sure perhaps only 100km/h winds and 100mm of rain here in Ontario and only indirect colatoral so far in Wawa, but I don't get the feeling anyone thinks this will be more than a thunder storm. Apparently lake Erie may see 20+foot waves. Is this worth discussion? The red cross said people in Ontario should stock up on a few days of food, batteries etc.. is this any different then donate blood? Anything gonna happen? http://www.thepeterb...a-in-its-sights http://www.lfpress.c...a-in-its-sights

Why in G-D's name does Canada have a blasphemy law?
login replied to a topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Blasphemous lible is a type of hate speech. Sections 318, 319, and 320 of the Code forbid hate propaganda Section 319 prescribes penalties from a fine to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years for anyone who incites hatred against any identifiable group (for example GYPSIES) " Section 320 allows a judge to confiscate publications which appear to be hate propaganda." Curious because god calls for the extermination of the Edomites (genocide) in the Torah and Bible, and calls for the extermination of the Jews in the Khoran (genocide)... better confiscate all those books huh.. hmm god would get up to 5 years in Canada, or is that Blasphemous lible to call god a crook? he did reform after the flood and moved from drowning to fire and brimstone to sociopathy as a means of exterminating identifiable groups he wasn't down with. Or would god be unconvictable due to that supremacy of god thing in the constitution. Hey its not like it is White Supremacy or nothing, god loves Jews like his own children in the Jewish version of gods message. -
