  1. Not at all. I think you are misunderstanding what the pentagon does. No not at all, there are other factors to global warming not just CO2. example: Carbon dioxide Carbonic anhydride (CO2) 365 μmol/mol 87 μmol/mol 1.46 0.819 Carbon Monoxide Carbonic Oxide (CO) 11.1 μmol/mol 46 nmol/mol 0.89 1.013 Methane Marsh gas (CH4) 1,745 nmol/mol 1,045 nmol/mol 0.48 2.191 Nitrous oxide Laughing gas (N2O) 314 nmol/mol 44 nmol/mol 0.15 0.88 Tetrafluoromethane Carbon tetrafluoride (CF4) 80 pmol/mol 40 pmol/mol 0.003 1.33 Hexafluoroethane Perfluoroethane (C2F6) 3 pmol/mol 3 pmol/mol 0.001 0.067 Sulfur hexafluoride Sulfur fluoride (SF6) 4.2 pmol/mol 4.2 pmol/mol 0.002 0.074 HFC-23* Trifluoromethane (CHF3) 14 pmol/mol 14 pmol/mol 0.002 0.064 HFC-134a* 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane 0.001(C2H2F4) 7.5 pmol/mol 7.5 pmol/mol 0.001 0.007 HFC-152a* 1,1-Difluoroethane (C2H4F2) 0.5 pmol/mol 0.5 pmol/mol 0.000 0.04 Gas Alternate Name Formula 1998 Level Increase since 1750 Radiative forcing (Wm−2) CFC-11§ Trichlorofluoromethane (CFCl3) 268 pmol/mol 268 pmol/mol 0.07 CFC-12§ Dichlorodifluoromethane (CF2Cl2) 533 pmol/mol 533 pmol/mol 0.17 CFC-13§ Chlorotrifluoromethane (CClF3) 4 pmol/mol 4 pmol/mol 0.001 CFC-113 1,1,1-Trichlorotrifluoroethane (C2F3Cl3) 84 pmol/mol 84 pmol/mol 0.03 CFC-114 1,2-Dichlorotetrafluoroethane (C2F4Cl2) 15 pmol/mol 15 pmol/mol 0.005 CFC-115 Chloropentafluoroethane (C2F5Cl) 7 pmol/mol 7 pmol/mol 0.001 Carbon tetrachloride Tetrachloromethane (CCl4) 102 pmol/mol 102 pmol/mol 0.01 1,1,1-Trichloroethane Methyl chloroform (CH3CCl3) 69 pmol/mol 69 pmol/mol 0.004 HCFC-141b 1,1-Dichloro-1-Fluoroethane (C2H3FCl2) 10 pmol/mol 10 pmol/mol 0.001 HCFC-142b 1-Chloro-1,1-Difluoroethane (C2H3F2Cl) 11 pmol/mol 11 pmol/mol 0.002 Halon-1211 Bromochlorodifluoromethane (CClF2Br) 3.8 pmol/mol 3.8 pmol/mol 0.001 Halon-1301 Bromotrifluoromethane (CF3Br) 2.5 pmol/mol 2.5 pmol/mol 0.001 As you can see N2O and CH4 have increased too. Methane raised a startling 1,045 nmol/mol and this in mind that the melting permafrost is releasing yet more. http://www.time.com/...1969767,00.html stopping forest fires does tie into the CO2 debate though if you can't geuss the connection I'll give you a hint PRESS >E>E>S> the S> gaurd the president LIGHT THE _R_E_ ARE YOU WATCHING H_U_E A DISCUSION ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING SHOULD INCLUDE DISCUSSION ON GREEN HOUSE _A_E_ AND FINALLY like CO2. If Stephen Harper can't stop forest fires, who can?
  2. aha http://www.guardian....n.climatechange Hmm it seems that this is due to the polar ice caps melting. It is fairly obvious to see what is happening. I live in an area with trees, this means the government should act to reduce the threat of forest fire to that community. oh reallly. I would say the conditions that need to occur are almost defaultive. No, you are talking about CO2, this thread was about global warming. I see environmental devestation as a far greater point of discussion on the topic than CO2. You arn't going to reduce CO2 to a level to reverse the process, end of story move on in life. No Global Warming does cause water pollution too. However human made water pollution is much easier to determine.
  3. ehhhn, sorry try again. I beleive climate change is happening because I'm not an idiot who doesn't pay attention to rising water levels, the melting of polar ice, and climatological effects such as the expansion of the Sahara, the shrinking of global fresh water supplies, and other factors. I feel that the net effect will be war, as the pentagon has planned, not capping co2 levels. Global warming won't be stopped, my angle is planning for it, not against it, it is too late. I'm not the left. I'm a rational moderate, social libertarian, and hardcore fiscal conservative. My support for "environmental damage recouperation fees" are to prevent environmental dispoilation that polutes the water supply and environment in general, because it increases health care costs, and it a public asset that should be protected. Because abuse of the publics resources for private gain needs to be stemmed off insuring that the public resource is protected. This does not mean private action cannot occur but it means I cannot go and out and kill people to make a dollar. Shooting someone or poisoning their water has much the same effect. Its not ethical. I am ethical. CO2 is not very toxic, it is other contaminants I am far more concerned about, for instance estrogen in the water supply that is turning male fish into female fish and giving human men moobs, hormonal imbalances and psychological issues. I wouldn't be suprised if it ain't making people gay too. example "Researchers found that disabling the fucose mutarotase FucM gene in laboratory mice – which influences the levels of estrogen to which the brain is exposed – caused the female mice to behave as if they were male as they grew up." I don't like cold weather. It is redundant though because once the global mass redistributes the occurence called polar shift is highly likely and it is a crap shoot at that point. Ok now your humour http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Lhs7VR52Bg
  4. He went to China.... They named a meal after him.... obviously he wasn't in the meal... Maybe upon seeing China, it dawned on the PM exactly what China really was. Perhaps it takes experiencing a country to know what it really is, even with state security grooming every millimeter of the experience.
  5. Are there people out there still denying climate change and global warming? I thought we were beyond the doubt stage. I think most of the world is on Bargaining with all them envrionazi's in their anger stage I went through my depression (sorry for not being conservative enough for you) but Acceptance is great, you will feel so much better after you get over here. Come on we can all get through this together. Shock, Denial, Bargaining, Guilt, Anxiety or Anger, Depression, Acceptance We can't get caught up on that it is happening or who is responsible, we should be trying to get those few extra happy years in, and solve the issue by organized management of the critical period that is approaching, global war is what we must avoid, because that is the outcome if we don't pull together. http://www.nativeremedies.com/articles/the-seven-stages-of-grief.html
  6. First off you have to cut the budget. Too many federal service employees which in turn cost many millions more for benefits and pensions. Very little of the budget is actually required. If they just attacked the debt there would be collatoral earnings simply by removal of the debt. Just make business pay for the services they need. The cost of doing business. Get rid of the paper and put it online. Put the military to work like in Afghanistan back in Canada. Self fund the prison system with prisonner labour. These things are no brainers. Meanwhile let people pay for the services they want. Offload poverty services to the provinces except for self funded crown corps. Offload the debt to the public, then earn income by imposing a "Canadian Tax" for all immigrants, and increase residency fees. start killing off income tax from the bottom up by shaving off percentage. The old way of doing business won't solve yesterdays problems. Meanwhile inflate the Canadian dollar through printing after debt held in canadian dollars is all that is left to pay for any costs that arn't covered by donations and fees (that is pay off foreign currency debt first), And a public bank managed by the government with high interest savings accounts for pensions accounts, that the interest can be tapped on retirement. Further a wealth export tax at 40% when funds leaving the country in a tax year are larger than $20,000 ramped up to the 40% maximum 10% on the first 10k over 20% on the next 20k 30% on the next 30k and finally 40% on anythingover 60k over the 20k limit or more than 80k unless moved through approved merchant bank accounts where goods are coming into the country or for approved business applications or exceptional private circumstances. cash or goods. One must realize the debt is monetary... not one of goods, Canada has plenty of goods. Just kill the debt and the issue of the debt is gone. It is not fair to extort money from the public for purposes of partisan self interest.
  7. US used apaches and SOF to take out the air defence network before putting the jets in in the first gulf war.
  8. Radar is like a 100 year old technology. Yeah cause that's what I want to be flying in. If you are flying at 100ft you got more to worry about than being seen. Your post almost comes off as desperation. (just a note observation is not always horizontal....) Sometimes it goes like \
  9. F35 stealth is just a reduced signature though, how many birds fly at above the speed of sound? I'm not sure it is undetectable, from what I've read it is, just "less detectable" It is also visible no need for infared detection when it is in the visible light band. Your claim it doesn't need support of electronic counter measures is patently false. stealth bombers are detectable by cell phone mast arrays.. the flying suites arn't "perfect", only third world countries have problems with the stuff. This from like 4 years ago for instance... and 4 years is a long time in technology... http://www.electroni...s/Military/1230 There are many ways to detect it, but I must say "radar" is not the end all of "stealth" If you take a close look at the f35 you should realize it is not the size of a golf ball, nor does it weight as much as a golf ball in mass. Its like putting a bunch of mirrors on an elephant, there is still an elephant under those mirrors. Is a clan member any less homo sapiens because he is wearing a table cloth? The same analogy can be applied to your so called "invisible stealth multi purpose strike aircraft" They are big, and don't look like a bird. If you have seen one then you know. I read about the stuff in "British Team Claims to Detect Stealth Aircraft?" well before 2008 and in terms of China not the UK. China as an example has probably the largest cell phone industry in the world. While these things may be useful for bombing third world nations, they are not "invincible" nor are their current configurations opitmal, nor will they defend against 1st world technology currently available and existing, that would be a threat to the US. This is from the same bin of nonsense as, US cannot even defend against commercial airliners... bs. This is just the tip of the f35 http://www.theregist...tem_disappears/ circa 2001 Say what happens with? http://en.wikipedia....l-wave_detector http://arxiv.org/pdf/1208.2377.pdf This is not to say the plane is useless, it is rather to say that your idea that the plane being invisible is wrong, and these things should not be seen as more than a tool for bombing third world nations and performing duties under NORAD, up to perhaps 2025 with any reliability.
  10. You are quite funny. Do you say this with a chuckle? I assume you are a smart guy so this must be a joke.
  11. Like the Canadian government wouldn't send in the troops if the police failed to subdue violent protest. Look at what happened at the G20... force was used, Canadian protestors are just pussies and heavily embedded with government moles, even some organizers. Same stuff maintain peace order and good government. Just different standards, the government and police arn't jesus, they are brutal bastards if you oppose them. You are only as free in Canada as you are a lapdog yesman. If you don't have money you are nothing in fascist Canada, a well pacified police state. Same rules different story different faces... its the same stuff just different people. JTF2 is also a "policing organization" for when the police can't handle the job. The Canadian Forces will put down insurrection, and have been trained to do so. Don't pull the, we are all nice people that let everyone do whatever they want here. That isn't the case. People move to overthrow the Harper government, cabinet is highly unlikely to sit on its hands, it would likely declare a state of emergency and if brusing force wasn't enough they'd send in all 5 tanks available.
  12. By picking a riding to vote for. It really doesn't matter, the concept of representative is a personal chocie based upon ones easiest access to a representative. The concept of riding is based on individuals with a single point of residence. The only past requirement to vote was to be present at the time of the vote. People could even vote in multiple elections at various locations as long as they could make it there on the same day if the vote occured on the same day. I think the system would be much better if people had one vote and could vote for who they wanted, but they can choose someone else at a later time if they so choose, but this is secondary. The bottom line is one vote for each federal election. The issue however with bylaws. The idea is that you must have a residence but this disadvantages individuals with multiple residences as well as individuals without a residence. The system is perfect but the main point I am trying to get across it that individuals should be able to have who they want to represent them, the first past the post system just isn't perfect. There already is mail in voting. However elections Canada sets up show everywhere, all votes should be recorded in a database. This database can then be used to verify the vote.
  13. Why not? *because detection technology doesn't advance?
  14. People should be able to vote anywhere they want. But Elections Canada should assign a number/letter combination to everyone eligible to vote, and that should be used, and ticked off. Then afterwards Elections Canada should perform an audit of where and when the person voted and match it with the tag number/letter code assigned to them as being used in those circumstances, actually engaging those voters and verifying the information. People should be able to "self audit" also. Ideally the vote would also be logged and people would be able to verify thier vote, but we know people are too paranoid in a "secret" vote system. It should be public. Peoples vote should be public. It would effectively make elections fraud impossible. Since only the number/letter is public.. the public won't know but people should be able to flag their vote as "Appearing wrong" in the database. They should have a week or two to verify the vote, before the election results are released, then people should have a couple more weeks before it becomes official, depending on any irregularities. We must destroy super partisanship. People should not have fears of who they vote for... it is wrong to support that type of system. Electons have to be made "peaceable" fear of reprisal is not something that should be in the Canadian mindset when it comes to democratic rights. This fill out a ballot anyone can stuff or rig is total nonsense. Allowing politics to become or allow it to continue to be so scued as to require that sort of backward practice is totally contradictory to establishment of a free and fair society in support of liberty and freedom housed in a legitimate democratic society.
  15. contradiction1 also I said human has the right to defend themselves using reasonble force which in the event of an act endangering their life is justified to use lethal force as a legitimate defence, citizenship is a construction. Canadian citizenship law is fabricated, it is not consensual. Contracts are bilateral, unilateral imposition of citizenship is not moral. false, he is a legitimate combatant, niether canada nor the us officially declared war! you don't know what the hell you are talking about. using your logic turkey is at war with syria right now
  16. bs it is just negligence and irresponsibility. The solution is easy.. split the debt , give half to every canadian per capita with a "leaving canada tax" equal to anyone who bails a entering canada tax equal to the cost issued at time of original issue then dump the other half as a production and import tax, then cut income tax by 25%+ outright and kill the gst the people will pay when they have no choice the government wont the solution is simple,
  17. It's not global instability it is the regular economic cycle. It is so damning not to apply income taxes to their original purpose. The debt is just a yolk so corrupt government can milk the people. shame on corruption 1. no deficit spending 2. tax dollars to the debt first. This is just plain fiscal incompetence. If they can afford to lend they can afford to be taxed.
  18. charter applied to them in what way? Is there some reason why the charter wouldn't apply to the government, sans notwithstanding clause?
  19. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dagenais_v._Canadian_Broadcasting_Corp.
  20. The Federal Court can hear cases about cases involving federal Crown corporations.
  21. what bs is this? so not the case. a bunch of countries allow non citizens to serve in their forces.
  22. If it is "any" personal aquaintances than it is a conflict of interset and the minister should remove themselves of those matters. Part of that though is if they "have knowledge" of an aquaintance having a personal interest in a matter. A conflict of interst exists in making a decision regarding anything in which themselves or their aquaintances can be benefited through the nature of decisions or actions that are held for the public trust and wellbeing.
  23. The deal looked ok, I'm not sure what is in there people don't like, can you clarify what is bad about the agreement? I do think "agreements" should be parliamentary approved unless it is a state of emergency though. All deals should have parliamentary oversight unless the emergency act is invoked. When you have a non functioning democracy from majority rule due to partisanship though where representives represent their party's intersts, it is pretty much just a waste of time though. If people care I think MPs should be given a parliamentary journal that the Library of Parliament will keep for an MPs so they can file their positions if they don't get the chance in Parliament. I think that MPs have the ability to bind the crown on foreign arrangements they just need to put it to law. That isn't likely due to majority rule. This particular agreeement though, I don't see the issue now that China is WTO. If this agreement is issued, Canada should just leave the WTO but that isn't likely either. Canadians get screwed because they won't enterprise. if you want to stop the loss enterprise, that is the bottom line. If your answer is, but they have the business. Well if you don't have business then what the hell do you want to do make rock art? Plenty of rocks. The planet is going to hell and whining about this is one small papercut on a bloodbank. I felt the agreement protected Canadians doing business in China from nationalization without renumeration. Canadian governments are too capitalist to nationalize industry so it is a moot point over here. If China opens up more then it leaves more room for Canadians to do business. But if we are seeking chinese markets, chinese operated companies in Canada are a sure way for that. Loss for Canada but its not like the US and Mexico couldn't do the same thing already. Lots of Chinese people... lots of land in Canada. Canada could use directed chinese settlement into Canadian hinter lands to develope the country and improve general world quality of life. it is the same sort of context that could develope in Siberia. What the hell do people want? Use it or loose it. join the ride. cause you ain't stoping the picnik. Beat em or leave em. Has me question why freaks can't mount a successful insurrection against brutality and crackdowns. That is the bottom line. -- There is something called ratification though.. that is making it "domestic law", agreements with no domestic force don't propose a domestic jurisdiction to enact it in proceedings except as a mitigating factor thus non binding in Canada. But this is a WTO agreement more or less, meaning it is WTO arbitration or bilateral relations that will be "issued"
