  1. Whether you support a party fully, or only support them a little, it makes no difference. Either way you get only one vote. Besides, it only shows that the Conservatives have 45,000 full supporters. It's hard to win an election from the votes of 45,000 people.
  2. I don't think I've seen all of them, but the ones I have seen do look better than the ones from the 2006 campaign. Then again, the election hasn't even been called yet (and won't necessarily happen anytime soon)...
  3. The number one mistake in that campaign, IMO. With all that money to blow on attack ads, you better hope the CPC don't do something similar.
  4. Exactly. I've heard of people waiting in line for gas that is a few cents cheaper per litre. Even if you're filling up, you'll save a few dollars at most. If you spent that time working instead, you'd probably end up richer.
  5. Yep, "soldiers in the street" worked real well
  6. Do people vote for who has the most money?
  7. See my edited post above.
  8. If you want, we can impeach them too Note: The winking smiley denotes that I am only kidding.
  9. Ah yes, a lie about a consensual blowjob is much worse than a lie that results in the loss of hundreds of thousands of lives, and hundreds of billions of dollars
  10. Are you saying you have no problem with non-whites in this country? If it were up to you, Canada should continue to allow non-white immigrants into this country? That's not the impression I get from your posts.
  11. I didn't bring up hitler. And there is nothing wrong with bringing up hitler depending on how it is used. If you say "you are hitler" or "bush is hitler" then yes you lose. But there is a lot to learn from history, including hitler, and there's nothing wrong with debating that.
  12. Ok, so you believe it's a bad thing for white people to only hang out with white people. I guess that means we need more non-white people here for them to hang out with?
  13. Did your ancestors who immigrated here consider themselves to be "Canadian"? Or is it only non-white immigrants you dislike?
  14. Of course obesity is a problem. You dont' have to look very hard to see that. I'm going to have to agree with geoffrey here, excerise is the key, not cutting calories. Biking to work (if you live reasonably close) is the best way to get in shape, IMO. You have to get to work anyways, why not bike? You'll save time not having dedicated exercise time, it's good for the environment, and most of all good for you. Oh, and Atkins is the biggest scam there is. Eating huge amounts of fat (and cholesterol) is very unhealthy for you and doesn't help you lose weight. Losing weight is a very simple mathematical formula: Calories burnt - Calories consumed. Besides, your brain needs carbs and you won't be at your sharpest without them. Not to mention that if you consume too much protein, your body will break it down into ammonia (hint: ammonia is not good for you). Your body will also break down fat and protein into various ketones like acetone (again not good for you).
  15. If you acknowledge that carbon dioxide causes global warming, and that global warming is a bad thing (maybe not so much in Canada, but in most of the world it certainly is), then the logical thing to do is cut emissions. The only question then is how to enforce this?
  16. Then tell the cops to stop shooting them
  17. So you agree that Kennedy's lack of a University education "isn't that big a deal"?
  18. And that would have been a valid issue, as well as his weak French. I take it neither of you are a fan of Ralph Klein? A University education, depending on the field of study, is over-rated. And this is coming from a PhD student...
  19. What exactly did that quote prove? Let's pretend that "pull it" really does mean bring down the building. You'll notice he said they made the decision to "pull it" AFTER the planes hit the buildings. Is it not possible that WTC7 was demolished because it was already badly damaged after the world trade centres were hit by al qaeda?
  20. Mulroney did some good things, namely free trade and the GST. But to say he was clean of any major scandals? Heck no. And how exactly did Trudeau or Chretien destroy Meech Lake?
  21. I too find it odd when people complain about high gas prices, when it is still cheaper than bottled water, especially considering that it pollutes the environment.
  22. The NDP really do need a new leader, IMO. I don't mind the NDP, but I'm not a fan of Layton.
  23. You have a reference to show how much they promised? You don't have an actual rebuttal? Unnecessary laws are just as "big government" as unnecessary spending. Government interfering in people's lives? Prosecuting them for something that does not harm anyone else? Yeah, I'd call that big government. Oh well, at least the Conservative Party of Canada is not as right-wing as those who want the government to control what a person can and can't do with their body. Now THERE'S big government.
  24. Fiscally? Who knows, we'll have to wait and see. Even the Martin minority propped up by Jack Layton didn't spend as much as this government. At the very least though, Liberals stand for staying out of Iraq, decriminalization of marijuana, same-sex marriage etc... It's funny how Conservatives always criticize the left for wanting big government, but they conveniently forget that those on the right want big government when it comes to social issues.
