  1. Well for one thing, you'll notice I never named names. I am not accusing jdobbin or anyone else specifically, nor will I. If I were wearing blinders, I'd be accusing one party and not the other, wouldn't I? Funny though that you attack only me. So who is wearing the blinders now?
  2. And you assume they did... ...as for the Conservatives, I guess we'll find out soon.
  3. No kidding. The partisanship on this board makes it impossible to have an intelligent debate with certain posters. There's really no point when all they do is defend their own party no matter what.
  4. CO2 and VOCs are two different things. Seems you got confused between the two. "Garden equipment emits high levels of carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and nitrogen oxides, producing a surprising 3-5% of Canada's air pollution. To a lesser extent, they are also responsible for greenhouse gas emissions that lead to climate change."
  5. I'd pick Victoria as the nicest place. Only problem is housing is fairly expensive.
  6. He wasn't. He was defending the authority of Parliament. Now who is trying to set up a strawman? Strawman? The Conservatives supported the bloc motion, and Michael Chong defended it. If they didn't want to waste time and money on this issue, they wouldn't have voted for it now would they? So please do explain why the Conservatives, and Michael Chong, supported the motion. If you want to avoid the question again, don't bother waiting for a response.
  7. Then why was Michael Chong defending the motion?
  8. What does that have to do with wasting time and money on the committee? It helps to read the post I quoted to understand what I am arguing, so as to avoid strawmen.
  9. "A parliamentary committee yesterday passed a motion -- supported by all parties -- calling for the athletic body to explain the Doan captaincy a day after the issue was raised in the House of Commons." "Tory MP Michael Chong defended the motion yesterday in an interview with The Canadian Press, saying since the national team receives federal funding MPs have the right to interfere with its decision-making." Link
  10. I love how you blame the Liberals, bloc and NDP, but not the Conservatives. No partisanship there
  11. Probably no worse than standing on the side of the road breathing in the exhaust from passing cars...
  12. This is one of the few times where I agree with you
  13. Why should I pay for someone else's entertainment? I don't ask the government to buy me CD's, or a new TV.
  14. The government is apparently paying money for this team. If the hockey team wants politics out of hockey, they should really stop receiving money first.
  15. naaaah the post is crap. It's so blatanltly biased...but I guess you don't mind that being a conservative and all, just like I don't mind the star so much (though I prefer the globe). The globe is the closest thing to neutral of all the major papers I have read.
  16. I agree with everything in your post...although I only read the Post because that's what we get at work. I prefer the globe.
  17. You can substitute any numbers you'd like, it makes no difference to my point.
  18. Absolutely...but thanks for pre-judging me anyhow. So you do oppose the wall? Or are you linguistically challenged? What on earth are you talking about? I just finished saying I support the wall.
  19. Next time, I suggest reading the post that I quoted to understand the context of my comments. My "statistics" were not meant to be accurate, they were meant to illustrate a point.
  20. So you support the wall? I doubt it. Absolutely...but thanks for pre-judging me anyhow.
  21. If it's so obvious to you, why don't you explain it?
  22. Again, how does having 45,000 loyalists help the Conservatives in an election?
  23. The problem I have is Hamas kills 5 Israelis and Israel strikes back and kills 10,000 Hamas...Hamas then spreads some propoganda and recruits more militans. These new militants kill 10 Israelis, so Israel strikes back and kills 20,000...and it continues. If they had done nothing, they would have lost 5 people. By fighting back, they lost 15. Israel should focus on preventing deaths from happening in the first place, they should not be killing purely out of revenge.
  24. Actually some of them weren't too bad. The ones I am talking about are the attack ads, especially with respect to Gomery/Sponsorship scandal. My favourite though was the one where they said something like "the Liberals are planning attack ads" right in the middle of their own attack ad. That was hilarious.
