Does the Sandra Bland story outrage you?
blueblood replied to Boges's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Unfortunately yes. What worries me is witch hunts taking place when sometimes force is necessary. If it gets to the point that they cant do their jobs then society is in trouble. -
I dont agree with much of what cybercoma says, but at least his opinions are researched and have some meat to them

That might have been what the officer was trying to find out until she decided to be difficult -

It can mask symptoms of being under the influence. -
I think that might happen sooner than later. The housingg market is over heated and the fundamentals that were supporting it are getting knocked back: natural resourse workers living, foreigners buying property, etc. that and with interest rates so low, people are borrowigg like crazy. Its going to be early 1980s saskatchewan all over again. The silver lining is the regulation stating that the borrower is on the hook for the loan and cant walk away. In the words of ned stark, winter is coming!!

I wouldnt go that far. Why risk throwing a career in the toilet and getting sued? -

That depends on how the stop goes. That cop made a mistake and the judge rapped his knuckles. -

Her possibly driving under the influence... Had she not had a hissy fit and lit up the cigarette and listened, she would be on her way. -
Yet harper agreed to how many debates? Doesnt sound scared to me. I dont think your going to get the shouting match or hollywood dance off movie duel scene where the crowd goes "oh snap"
-
Once again, same thing with ignatieff and layton. If your expecting a shouting match for this debate your going to be disappointed. If i were tom mulcair, id be watching for mr duceppe...
-
Lol they sure made an attempt to but got their hands caught in the cookie jar!!
-
mulcair asks a question, he wins!!!

Yes, in your world the non white person can do no wrong and witg affirmative action policing , the population distribution in jail will be the same as outside, and the crime rate? Well lets not worry about that! Lmao! -
Yet we still have elections. Thats not my problem the other parties cant obtain enough support to win the past few elections. Im sure the ndp was "stifling" democracy with their kerfuffle with canada post.
-
How in all that is holy is democracy threatened in canada? I mean really. We are having an election. Just because the party with the most seats wins and passes legislation without input from the opposition doesnt mean democracy is done. "We lost, democracy failed" - the mating call of the left
-
Yeah last election when jack and iggy were supposed to mop the floor with harper, how did that turn out?
-
I also support my boy/girl getting in, and if part of the pathway to power is a bauble like that, then thats the cost of doing business.
-
Also of note is to look at what happened to chretien. Paul martin had the confidence of the house for all intents and purposes and chretien had to throw in the towel. The MPs at the end of the day determine who is prime minister.
-
Said monkey would probably be better than the whole lot running in the election as mps/party leaders lmao!!
-
Its the leaser of two evils. I can choose the party that lessens my tax if i decide to swap out the toilets or the party that plans to raise corporate taxes which makes doing business for me more expensive. Good luck trying to streamline the tax system. Id love a nice low flat tax that everyone pays with no deductions. But that isnt "fair". And our accountant friends will lose quite a few customers.
-
Ive heard that fairy tale before from when ignatieff was going to take out harper as ignatieff was an ivy league professor. And there was jack layton too!! We both know how that turned out!!
-
Well i prefer a flat tax, but fat chance of that happening. Given the budget situation, ill take any kind of tax relief i can get.
-
And a lot of canadians think everyone should be footing the bill for said services not just rich people. Fortunately a lot of canadians see the forest for the trees and realize that keeping taxes low helps encourage an environment that benefits everyone. Its why since the late 80s federal government has been cutting taxes in general and cutting spending. Your welcome for the services!!
-
This is why we save our money. Keep playing that fiddle!! Taxes still get paid, just not at the sky high rates you want them. A lot of canadians dont believe in punishing success like you do.
