  1. It's the networks choice, they can invite whoever they want. If May wants to be in the debate, have her party actually win some seats.
  2. Cut him some slack, he did come from a communist country and is jaded that that many ordinary people pick who's in charge, not elitists pick who's in charge and everyone follow obediently. You guys forgot the other option of dissatisfaction of our democratic system ---> emmigration.
  3. Trudeau did that in the 70's with semi socialism. It gave Mulroney the biggest majority ever. As for scare mongering, Dobbin is right, the MB tories tried it and lost, the fed libs tried it and lost. Scare mongering does not work in Canada, let it die. A majority is not the key to the Candy store and the federal PC's found that out the hard way, Harper won't make that mistake twice. It's time for some people to start laying off the pot, tinfoil hats, and toasters.
  4. On pepper spray a person can still fight back, cause injury etc. Sometimes pepperspray does not affect anybody. Those cops only get a second to formulate a plan to perform an arrest and that means no time to determine if the threat is high. Being high should not be a free pass. Don't want to get tased don't break the law. Pepper spray has its problems too, someone could have a severe allergic reaction to it as well.
  5. about as relevant as the greens as a viable party in Canada. This is just seeing where posters on the forum are going to park their vote.
  6. Wrong again, I'm a farmer and I'm just waiting for the crop to dry before my long harvesting days. I have a pefectly good example of how companies operate. And yes I watch CNN, and no that is not socialism, those are tax dollars being given back, it's like a tax cut. Socialism would be the US spending that money on daycare or something like that. There's jobs a plenty in Saskatchewan, if people in eastern canada are too lazy to fill them, then open the doors up with people who will. It's better than letting in people who clog the services system raising my taxes. Harper's not giving Canada's oil away, he's charging market value and making hard working Canadians rich off of it. Why does Alberta owe you free oil? The economy out west is not tanking, it's booming, maybe if Easterners wouldnt tax business's so heavily they might turn a profit and help out their economy. Canada's own refineries can pay the price. The facts are speaking for themselves the economy is not tanking, western and atlantic canada are booming, the sooner ontario and quebec get off their socialist horse the better. My life and others has been a lot better since the tories took over. 4 more years!!! Time for a new toaster.
  7. This poll was a legit shot at forming gov't, who got entered was done alphabetically. Sorry the tinfoil hat green party didn't get included. When they elect members, they'll get included the next time.
  8. just give him a little beard and i guess you have a point.
  9. Honestly, this hidden agenda stuff just doesn't fly with Canadians anymore, it didn't fly in 06 when it booted the Libs out of power and it won't fly now. To suggest that is wandering into tinfoil hat and listening to toaster territory. If that's the best the opposition strategists can do, it's tory majority.
  10. He's not wanting to open a can of worms, that's just smart. Let's ask Jack Layton his stance on communism while we're at it.
  11. Fringe parties go in the other column no matter how popular they are.
  12. No argument there, that's why I emphasized recent record. I think the Liberals gaffed in the Leadership gig when they wanted to take the party more to the left.
  13. A recent record, remember Trudeau?
  14. Martin was from Quebec, identified himself as a quebecer and got licked.
  15. Those programs need funds which were stripped when the tories slashed the GST. Not that that's a bad thing.
  16. Punishing people who are succeeding is the most proposterous idea there is. That failed experiment was tried in the USSR and look how that craphole turned out. The fact that the tories do well in the polls and have formed government reflects that enough Canadians are not stupid enough to fall for socialist nonsense.
  17. Just like the 85% of Canadians don't like socialism being rammed down their throats by the ndp?
  18. That's not the way it is, the Liberals have found that out the hard way. Saying Ontario is the heart of this country and dismissing Saskatchewan as the middle of nowhere is why we have national unity problems in the first place. As for being a leftist, carbon tax to support social programs anyone??? Saskatchewan is booming, if manufacturing workers want work either elect a more business friendly gov't or move west.
  19. Are the greens invited? What are the odds Layton is toast after this election?
  20. In the words of Ford trucks, Heartbeat my ass. Ever hear of pipelines? If that's how leftists view western Canada no wonder they are in trouble this election Saying Ontario is more Canadian than anywhere else has got to be the dumbest thing i've heard today.
  21. The American strategy was better, gas went to four bucks a gallon and now three quarter trucks are a dime a dozen.
  22. looks like they are all liars, that being said harper kept a lot of his
  23. Yes Harper is a weak leader, he not only has complete obidience of his caucus, he told China where to go during the olympics, to name a few.
  24. As for the economy Saskatchewan is open for business, as for the disappearing manufacturing jobs, we have jobs in Uranium and potash mines, canola crushing plants, and the oil patch. Just because Ontario and Quebec have anti-business philosophies doesn't mean the Canadian economy is in trouble.
